Mmm just make me full thinking about it. :(
    T.J. S.

Wife and I were in town staying at the Inn. We checked out several restaurants in the area. This one was the worst. The gal working there was very nice, but the place had problems. 1. I ordered a cold cut sub, this usually means you get ham, turkey and capicollo, mine had ham, just ham. 2. The sub had less than 2 ounces of the (only one kind of) meat... On a 12" sub... What? See the pic, the bit of meat you do see is only toward the open side of the sandwich, the back half had just mayo and mustard. 3. Place was ok on cleanliness, but for a place that prepares and serves food, no masks were worn. Random dog walking through the dining room several times. Had a vest on, so he must have been working, but no human around watching him, and he ran back to the back (same place my food came from)... 5. Employees stood around in the dining room a few feet from us talking about having a lot of huge flies in there today, and needing a fly swatter to make them dead flies. Great, now all I can think of is how many flies were crawling on my ham (the only meat in a cold cut sub) before I ate it. After this fly conversation, wife and I just got up and left, she didn't even finish her sandwich.

Expired March 01, 2021...... I pick this up March 2022......

I heard great things about going here so I figured why not. I'll never be back. I love supporting small businesses but not when they sell expired stuff and don't wear shoes. The guy making food and running the register had no shoes on he was walking around with socks on, absolutely disgusting. It took almost an hour to get a sub, hot dog and club..... I got home and took a sip of my drink, it tasted funny so I check the expiration date , it expired March 2021. I'm writing this in March 2022..... A year expired! I also asked for no tomatoes and of course they put tomatoes on it....

Veggie and sausage omelet with rye toast

AMAZING BREAKFAST! My mother and I took a chance on this unassuming little mart that also said it was a diner. I was skeptical based on appearances but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the three egg veggie omelet with sausage and was blown away! This is hands down the best omelet I have ever eaten and the white jalapeño cheese sauce was the cherry on top! The egg was cooked perfectly and the veggies were perfectly cooked as well. There was the perfect amount of veggies, sausage and cheese in each bite. The chef/manager came out to talk to us to see how we liked our food and it was obvious she is proud of her food as she well should be! If you are ever in Boonesboro and looking for a great breakfast-look no further than this place! The second picture is my mother's breakfast which I didn't get to try because by the time I looked up from my own breakfast, hers was gone! She said it was amazing as well!!

Best pretzel I have ever had!

This place is absolutely fabulous. The menu has fantastic breakfast options and a vast selection of entrees and sandwiches. The pretzel from the appetizer menu is absolutely the best pretzel I have ever had. The staff are prompt, nice, knowledgeable and fun. The Diner also has a store within. A selection of candy and novelty items. This is a must if you are in the Washington County area. I highly recommend!

    Awesome subs!!!!!

Great food! But a restaurant should smell good bc of the food, not a powerful air freshener that sets off my asthma.

There is a cat but the owner keeps it upstairs and when it does come down it never enters the kitchen.

I had never even HEARD of Maplewood Farm Market until the internet recommended it as a side quest…read moreduring one of my adventures. I was headed toward Chambersburg and looking for somewhere directly along my route where I could pick up some homemade baked goods. Maplewood was the highest-rated recommendation, so around 5pm on a Thursday evening, I decided to investigate. When I pulled in, there were only a few cars in the parking lot, which surprised me considering the size of the farm market, greenhouses and everything else spread around the property. I snagged a spot right out front, walked through the doors and immediately realized I had SEVERELY underestimated this place. IT WAS HUGE! And not just "big farm market" huge. This was a full-blown food wonderland. There was a deli loaded with meats, cheeses and prepared foods, a made-to-order grill with sandwiches, soups and fried foods, an enormous bakery section, a mini grocery store with shelf-stable goods and baking supplies and a huge produce area with bins overflowing with beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables. I definitely had not budgeted enough time for this side quest! Unfortunately, I was on a timeline and had arrived with a very specific mission: find some kind of homemade peanut butter baked good to take along on my adventure. Which brings me to my one and only complaint about Maplewood Farm Market. THERE WERE TOO MANY PEANUT BUTTER OPTIONS! Listen. Peanut butter represents approximately 63.8% of my personality. You cannot put me in front of an entire bakery case filled with peanut butter things and expect me to make responsible decisions. I wandered around the bakery section for nearly 20 MINUTES trying to choose one thing. Every time I thought I'd made my decision, I'd find something else involving peanut butter and have to start the entire internal debate over again. Eventually, I accepted defeat. I bought three. My haul included a chocolate whoopie pie with peanut butter filling, a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with peanut butter filling and a refrigerated peanut butter Oreo pie that was honestly shockingly beautiful. I carried my little peanut butter rampage to the register fully prepared to accept the financial consequences of my behavior. The cashier rang everything up. "$6.37." Excuse me? I actually did a double take. THREE enormous homemade-looking bakery treats for $6.37?! In THIS economy?! I almost felt like I should quietly take my bag and leave before somebody realized there had been a terrible mistake. To say Maplewood's prices are reasonable would be a severe understatement. I couldn't believe how much I walked out with for barely more than six bucks, especially considering the size and quality of everything I'd picked. And yes, the baked goods absolutely lived up to their appearances! The chocolate and peanut butter combinations delivered exactly what Future Me had hoped for when she made the executive decision to buy all three instead of choosing like a functioning adult. My biggest regret from this visit is simply that I didn't have enough time. I came looking for a baked-good pit stop and accidentally discovered a place where I could easily spend an hour wandering through the bakery, deli, produce, grocery and prepared-food sections before grabbing lunch or dinner from the grill. What started as an internet-recommended stop for something sweet turned into one of those fantastic little adventure discoveries that immediately earns a spot on my "How did I not know this existed?!" list. I'll absolutely be back! Next time, I'm budgeting more time. Probably also more than $6.37!
