It has been a few years since I visited so I figured it was time to update this review. Firstly, I got a regular pedicure and nochip manicure. It was a little off-putting because I wasn't given the option to look at regular polish and no chip at the same time so the color selection process was a little annoying. For my pedicure the massage chair blew a fuse as soon as I turned it on and the woman doing my pedicure just shrugged and made no attempt to fix it so I had to sit in a pretty uncomfortable chair since the massager was stuck in place. After that I got my nochip manicure which went ok, however, it only lasted a 1 week and a day! Sadly on their machines it said they only guarantee it for a week (I was out of town) which is a pretty short amount of time. (All other places I have gone to have a 2 week guarantee AND they've lasted WELL OVER two weeks). I'm sad to say I probably will not be going back after this experience. read more

I love the team here! They always do an incredible job, making sure that I get a high level manicure at a reasonable price. The owner is so sweet and when I recently had a manicure change colors (weird reaction to a hand cream), I called to mention it and she had me come in right away, fix it, and was apologetic, even though the color changing wasn't her fault. They always have nice music playing, the massages with the vitamin E oils are relaxing (not too short), and they always offer coffee/tea/soda/etc. I love this team here and will go out of my way to make sure I get an appointment with them. read more

I LOVE NAIL.COM! This is by far my favorite nail salon in the city. Whenver I go anywhere else (if I'm downtown and need a quick lunch mani) I am always so sad I didn't wait it out and go to Nail.com. They take their time and you completely get pampered, it's great! Awesome service and a great manicure! I went the day before NYE expecting a big wait since all girls want to look good for ringing in the New Year. Not at all. The wait was only about 10 minutes and they made it easy by taking my coat and offering me wine, water or soda! They were very conscious about making sure I didn't mess me up my nails (which I always tend to do) by having me pay ahead of time (if I wanted), getting my cell phone out of my purse and opening my water. I have been going to Nail.com for the past few months now and all i can say is this: I will NEVER leave them! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, you feel taken care of. I have always been greeted with a friendly smile, I'm continuously offered something to drink (water, soda, and, at holiday time, wine!) and, in the cooler months, they take your coat for you, as well. What's more? I've never waited to be seated no matter how crowded it has been. They always seem to have just the right amount of employees working that there is always someone available to service me but not too many that they are just sitting around, talking amongst themselves, doing nothing. Biggest salon pet peeve: Screaming (or talking, for that matter) across the room loudly to coworkers in a foreign language. NOT HERE! None of the girls at Nail.com have ever been so rude. They are always very attentive and, if there is dialogue being exchanged, it's between your nail tech and you. DOUBLE THUMBS UP for this! They are organized, they have an extensive collection of color, including the entire OPI collection (yes, even the newest ones) which is neatly organized and numbered for easy remembering, they allow you to choose your bath salt scent: lavender vs. peppermint, they offer killer massages, including a hot towel... The list goes on and on! Once at the drying station, your tech then proceeds to give you a short but effective neck & shoulder massage. The drying station itself offers comfortable chairs, little chocolates and lollipops and, if need be, the front desk (which I believe are the owners) will come over and saran wrap your feet prior to putting your shoes back on. Before I begin the true review let me first say that everyone cannot be pleased 100% of the time. I read a lot of reviews before deciding this was the place for me! Also, every Wednesday is the weekly special of $35 for mani/pedi!!! I didn't realize that walking in. Onward to realness. My girlfriend and I went in today and had THE BEST service we've ever received at a nail salon. We were greeted instantly and originally I was going to do the mani/pedi and my gf just a pedi as her nails are super short. We picked our colors (HUGE HUGE selection!) and we were taken directly to the pedi chairs(next to each other) and were offered beverages. And I've never been offered that before ANYWHERE. It made me feel special. Ahh I wish I could go back right now! I was startled when my girl asked me if I wanted "peppermint or lavender". I had to have her ask me again. Uhm, MyNail.com WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!? Peppermint!! The girls were quiet and there was no chitchat between any of the employees like every other salon we've been to. They were gentle and just tough enough thy I knew my feet were going to look fabulous. Which they do. Exfoliate, scrub, lotion, hot towel, the whole shebang! As I was being taken to the mani chair, my gf decided to also get a mani. The owner came over and softly told her he was glad she decided to get the mani because it was a better deal. We can't have color/polish on our nails because of work so we got shiny buffed nails that look like we have a clear coat! The girls bring your stuff with you to the chairs and they did a nice job. Great job actually! After our mani's we were brought to have our toes dried and there were little treats for us. We tried to get up about 10 minutes later because we thought we were done (thats where it usually ends at other places) but they quickly said NO NOT YET! a few minutes later my girl came over and put some sort of drying oil on my toes and then wrapped them in Saran wrap. She then helped me put my shoes on and she also helped my gf (who's in a walking boot) put her boot back on!!! She was so sweet! I thought that the wrapping was crazy but when I got home over an hour later my toes were as perfect as when I left and soft as ever! Thank you MyNail.com!! Let's get one thing out first--they do great pedicures. And everyone is very nice. But I was looking for an artificial nail manicure, called beforehand to make sure, and then made an appointment because they said they do them. And in the middle of my pedicure, they tell me they actually don't do the artificial nails. Annoying, to say the least. And they also do no chip manicures, but not pedicures. Even though I can't say enough good things about Nail.com, I really don't need to. This is a business that truly speaks for itself. There is a reason it's always busy and a reason why everyone is there for an appointment rather than just walking in. One trip to Nail.com and you'll be a regular too. Everything at Nail.com is a cut above. The staff is friendlier, the salon is cleaner and better decorated, the massage chairs are bigger and more plush, and they really give you your moneys worth on the massage both during and after the mani/pedi. They manage to be efficient while spending a good amount of time on your nails and a Nail.com mani always lasts a week without chipping. Nail.com is about $5-$10 more expensive than your average nail salon. But they really give you what you pay for, so I don't mind paying for what I get. This is especially true now that I've been salon hopping for the past few months thanks to Groupon and my desire to be frugal. Best nail salon in the city. Why? Because I said so. In all seriousness, the staff are all great and take pride in their work, the owners are incredible and the quality is unparalleled. Beyond the free beverages, super clean salon and great massage chairs here are a few more examples of their greatness: 1. Around the holidays they tend to have wine nights and give customers gifts of lotions. So generous. 2. I once wanted a no chip manicure and the technician recommended that I avoid it since my nails are thinner and could result in damage. Rather than up sell me she was completely honest and was looking out for me. How often does that happen? 3. One particularly packed Wednesday (the day their special runs) I had to wait a bit longer than usual and all customers that were in the same boat as me were given free upgrade cards for use at our next appointment. Rather than close the doors on us at the closing time they stayed open and kept apologizing profusely. Been here twice now and both times my nails have chipped within 2-3 days. The last time I was there was definitely my most memorable experience. Went in on a weekday afternoon for a mani/pedi. The girl that did my pedi did a very good job but was the slowest manicurist EVER. Believe me I hate being rushed but her pedicure took over an hour and a half!!!!! The way she painted my nails it was as if she was nervous or had never done it before. On the extreme other end, I was swept away from my manicure by a girl that had been walking back and forth watching the girl doing my pedicure and talking to the owner in their native tongue. She hardly said a word to me and did my manicure in about 20 minutes. I might be back but have found other, cheaper places in the area and on day 6 my nails haven't chipped yet. read more

I can only compare this place to LA nail salons, seeing as that's what I know. Upon entrance, the salon has a very strong smell of fragrance (?), so overpowering that it can cause a headache for those like me who are sensitive to smell. I was disappointed with my nail technician who had filed my nails very crooked. This is one of my two pet peeves at nail salons, (the other being sloppy nail polish application). They were visibly not straight and I had to take the filer and file them myself because I (perhaps too soon) decided I couldn't stand another round of shorter + uneven nails. However, the positives here include that they do use expensive products (OPI lotion, with avocado juice) and they even give you a hand scrub that you the have to awkwardly wait by the sink to wash. Aside from the fact that you're standing in the middle of the salon, sometimesi in a short line to wash your hands, I could appreciate the additions, which is probably why this place has such good reviews. The nail application, to no surprise given the sloppy filing, was not applied in a manner that covered my entire nail. The edges were left without nail polish and I had to bring this to her attention three times, at which point she would then add a THIRD coat, which delays the drying time in my nails and increases the likelihood that I'm going to ruin them before they dry. Sure enough, that's what happened on almost every nail. Except the nail polish itself dried in a way that had some bubbles and under light, it's very obvious that my nails warrant a 3-star (if even that) review of this place. I have lived in the city for 5 years now and this is by far the best nail salon I've found. My nails lasted three weeks(three weeks!!!) without even chipping in one place. I went here for the $35 mani/pedi special on Wednesday. It was very crowded, so I assumed that was a good sign. The woman who did my manicure filed my nails unevenly, which I guess isn't the biggest deal in the world, but I'm used to nail salons where the manicurists have like OCD and pay attention to every detail. The pedicure was pretty good, I'm definitely happier with the pedicure than the manicure. The massages during both procedures were yum! Definitely the best I've ever had while getting my nails done. Most places give really week hand and foot massages, here it was very firm and for like 5-10 minutes. I'd say that's worth the $35 without the rest of the mani/pedi. Pretty good place, but there's others for the same price out there, and I'm gonna try 'em. read more

After feeling like Goldilocks trying to find a decent pedicure in the city of Chicago - I have finally found my place!! I got the spa pedicure and manicure and they were both delightful. Salt scrub, nice massage, paraffin wax - what more could you want? I will definitely be back. So thankful I found this place. I love this place and am so happy to live nearby. I have been quite a few times (probably around 15 thus far), and have never had a bad experience. The no-chip manicures are wonderful -- I have had one last three weeks, and even then the polish was still in great condition, I just needed to have them redone since they were growing out! The fact that the salon is never empty should be a testament to how good it is; people love coming here. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, offering a drink when you walk in and taking your coat. The rewards card is also awesome, I have gotten $10 off my no-chip manicures a few times. I am pretty picky about how my nails look so I typically do them myself. My biggest pet peeve is that the technician typically does not paint the entire bed of the nail, leaving a very small space between the cuticle and the nail. I was assigned to Susan, and she did amazingly well! The entire nail is painted - and not only that, but it has been four days since I got them done and still no chip. Typically I have to remove the polish 1-2 days after they are done due to chipping, etc but not this time. I will go back and have Susan do my nails again, she did an excellent job! I reduced the rating by one because the chair I sat in for my pedicure wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. read more

Probably my new favorite nail salon in the city. Called on a Sunday morning to see what they had available for appointments and had my pick of times. Was almost 10 minutes late but they got me in no problem and I didn't get any attitude for stink-eye for being late. This place is super clean and super cutely decorated. It seems like sometimes salons have little gnats flying around, or you feel like the tools are dirty, not this place. Never saw anything gross or smelled anything gross. The polish selection is great too, and super organized, which I appreciate. Got a regular pedicure (only problem here was I didn't feel like I get enough of a massage, will ask for more next time) and a regular manicure and had the same girl for each, was super quiet but sweet, really allows you to relax. After unsuccessfully trying to go to Beauty Nails, which was closed for no apparent reason, I ventured over here. Wow, this was such a nice salon. Staff were all friendly and professional and definitely all about service. They asked if I wanted water right away. I was quickly taken to get my pedi started. It was a solid job. Afterwards, the lady asked if I wanted a massage. I passed, but definitely nice, as I don't often see this offered esp. in Asian salons. I was a little worried on time, but the owner made sure to check if my nails were dry yet and since they weren't, she gave me flip flops. I pretty much like any manicure and pedicure I get because I don't have to do it! This place was great! They are so nice, almost to nice. Right when you walk in, they offer you any kind of soda you want or water. They also take your jacket asap so you don't feel like a snow ball Too be honest, it was great that they spoke English, and chatted with you while you were getting your nails done. I accidentally ruining my toe nail color after I walk out the store. Then I when back to the store and was hoping they can help me with the mess. They are so nice and polite. I was so embarrassed, but they just keep telling me it's fine and repaint it. This is the greatest place ever. the owners are a very cute couple and the nail stylists are so delightful, they have smile on their faces all the time. i haven't had very many professional done pedis.. two to be exact. however, this one.. although they had more perks.. i just felt awkward the entire time. i dont like chit chatting very much when i'm getting my hair done, or nails, etc... but not talking to me at all is very awkward too. it was also really awkward, but i had no idea what she wanted me to do. sit down, move somewhere else, etc. etc. it's also really a tight squeeze here.. too many people in such a small place. also- i had to wait 20 minutes even though i had made a reservation. annoying. to top it all off- i felt really embarrassed b/c when she took off my old polish, you could tell my big toenail- part of it had turned white b/c it was separating from my skin... too many tennis matches- hence, the toenail is going to come off in a little bit.. but my pedicurist-- was completely disgusted and gave me a this huge WTF look at me when she saw. i mean.. some people have fungus on their feet... my toenail wasn't even coming off.. i dunno, it just made me feel really bad. i won't be back. read more

Oh where to start... Definitely a hit or miss if you go in without an appointment. If you make an appointment I suggest requesting Oggi or Bogi for manicures and pedicures - both are fantastic - give the best massage and most attention to detail. Apparently the no chip manicures are really nice - I've never had one, but hear good things. The owners are definitely very nice and usually give out free sea salt scrubs with a regular pedicure which feels awesome. You get a complimentary drink (soda, water, tea) and at the drying station there are always bowls of chocolate candy - yum. Everyone is really nice - just some girls are better at their job than others so I say don't knock it if you had a bad experience once - test some people out and find out who you like best then keep going back because it's an hour of pure relaxation when you get the right girl. read more

There is no pedicure out there like how it is done here. t's a soaking, scrubbing, exfoliating, and massaging grand spa treatment for weary feet without the spa price. They welcome you with a great big genuine smile, help you out your coat, offer your something cold or hot to drink, and ensure you feel special throughout your stay. I like that I can hang my purse on a hook attached to the manicure station. Very thoughtful of them. Plus, there are so many great color options to choose from, and they make sure to stock with new season colors. It was at my second visit for a manicure that I was given a mini massage while my nails where drying. I felt like a Hollywood star on both visits, and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who love spa-like treatments. The owners are absolutely fabulous and love to engage their customers in conversation. If you visit enough, they remember your name and welcome you as though you were family. I went with my girlfriends for a mani pedi. I called ahead to make sure we were taken at the same time and could sit together. When we arrived they were ready for us (3 spots), took our coats and were offered a beverage. The service was excellent and the mani pedis were outstanding including leg/foot and hand/arm massage including a shoulder massage while you dry. Albeit, short but still a nice touch! They also had a large selection of OPI and ESSIE nail colors. They made absolutely sure our nails were dry before we left and even wrapped our feet in saran wrap to prevent smudging and it works! The test of whether this was going to be a 4 or 5 star review was if my toe polish was still intact after my 5 block trek home in heeled toe-squishing boots which I was sure would ruin my new polish after I was too impatient to wait the recommended dry time. Alas, when I arrived home and peeled the saran wrap off my feet, they were just as good as they were in the salon! Onto the pedicure- this really is a spa pedicure without the spa price. You are asked if you want lavender or peppermint, are offered a beverage and snacks, given a foot and leg massage AND mini back/shoulder massage while drying. This place is relaxing, much more than I thought it would be, and has a nice playlist of late 90's songs which are a pleasant throwback. I used to love this place! However, they must've recently hired a new crop of technicians to keep up with the growing demand... and unfortunately, the attention to detail has vastly declined. In my last four visits, I've dealt with rushed pedis (where the tech is clearly just going through the motions), bubbly/chipped polish and overgrown cuticles. When I try to point out my preferences during the mani/pedis, I've been greeted with some annoyed responses from the techs. Also, I like to wait until the end of my service to tip my tech (as opposed to tipping before the polish has begun). One tech seemed so bothered by this that she rushed through my polish and skipped my complimentary shoulder massage during my nail dry. Upon recommendations from fellow yelpers I tried nails.com. I have to warn you, I am a super super perfectionist when it comes to mani-pedis. My standards are waaaaay above most due to the fact that I can do a killer mani-pedi for myself. However, it is always nicer not to have to hunch over for an hour trying to do my own feet... The staff is super friendly and courteous. When you arrive they offer you a refreshment, then onto the pedi massage chair. The treatment starts with the usual pedi steps, once the massages start then it gets FUN. Scrub rub, then lotion rub, then hot towel wrap, then back to the usual pedi works. The mani routine is about the same...I love the hot towel wrap. Then while your nails dry, a nice little shoulder massage, off you go... It all took about an hour and a half and $40 plus tip. Why 4 stars: I like a deeper cuticle removal. I like the nail polish to be closer to the skin so that it lasts longer (my nails grow fast). Also the shape of the nails are too flat at the tip (so I said square, but a little more natural shape makes more sense). Lastly, it seemed like while at the pedi station two nail techs were sharing equipment cart, I was too busy enjoying to massage to really check out if they were sharing tools too, yuck, but I decided to have a good time instead of investigating. After reading all of the good reviews I must admit I had very high expectations of this place. Probably to an unrealistic point. The girl I had completely messed up the shape and length of my manicure. I had asked for rounded nails but she went ahead and made them shorter than I liked and filed them square. I don't mind square nails over rounded ones too much, however it would be nice if they were straight across and not tilted in all different directions. Otherwise she was a nice, soft-spoken girl. She did a good job of cleaning up my cuticles. The paint job was done well and with no polish left on my skin. One thing I really liked was when she went back and fixed my nail after I bumped my had on my jacket and got the fuzzies stuck in the still fresh polish. Going back to fix a mistake I made is something I very much appreciate in a nail salon, when they do that I am very likely to go back. This is the best no chip manicure I have had. Every time! They are consistent. Usually I need to come back to get them done again because they have grown out, but before any have chipped! I can usually go 3 weeks between getting my no chip done here. They have a rewards program and beverages. It's not fancy but it's clean and the employees are all friendly. I needed a small way to celebrate today so I booked a pedicure with MyNail and I'm so glad I did! I walked in, was offered a beverage, picked my color and immediately got walked back to the station. My nail technician was courteous and gauged my reactions carefully (I have very ticklish feet) to make my comfort #1. She took her time with my pedicure, great leg massage and products on my legs and feet- AND a neck massage while my toes dried. Could not have had a more positive experience. I've been coming here for a year and a half, and every time I stray I am disappointed because the quality just isn't the same. The owners are the sweetest people ever and SO accommodating. Best place for a mani-pedi in Chicago! I literally have never had a bad experience here. It's clean, the staff are very friendly, and they always offer you a drink when you walk in the door. I almost never have to wait in line. The owners are often present, making sure everything is running smoothly. They always do an impeccable job on my nails. And they give you a quick shoulder massage afterwards! Wow, this place is amazing. Like probably the best pedicure I have ever gotten in Chicago. And the prices are definitely reasonable for what you get. First, the massage chairs are bomb. Sometimes massage chairs at nail salons tend to be more annoying than relaxing, but these were definitely putting pressure in all the right places. Loved it. They have a nice selection of Essie and Opi polishes. And, while I'm sure they are not the first ones to figure this out, I loved that they labeled their polishes with numbers. Now, all I have to remember is that I really liked polish #17, instead of the totes cheesy names they're called. And, I really did like the #17 Essie polish I picked out. I went with a lighter, pink, sheer color that looks wonderful on my perfectly tanned feet. The pedicure itself was sooooo relaxing. They do some exfoliating lotion first, then they follow up with regular lotion for the massage and it felt incredible. It wasn't the typical lame half-ass massage you get from most nail salons, but she actually put quite a bit of muscle into it. So yeah, I was in heaven. I also got a little shoulder massage after I sat down to dry. They offered us water and soda when we arrived, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly. It also felt very clean, which is imperative in a nail salon. There is nothing more off putting than getting your toes primed with tools that look questionable insofar as cleanliness. I will for suresies be back. They also have a nice little rewards program. Every dollar you spend you get 5% back. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh you guys!! Ok be prepared because I'm about to gush about this place because I just had the best no chip ever. The staff is so accommodating and sweet! Talk about amazing customer service. You get offered a beverage when you check in and they move your purse/other odds & ends around for you if you need to change stations. And the purse hooks...they have purse hooks at each station! Genius. I can't believe that after all of the other times that I've splurged on my nails, this is the first joint to have purse hooks so that I don't have to put my purse on the floor (I'm superstitious, ask around & someone will let you in on the urban legend)! This place is really clean and the chairs are comfy. I think they give a nice price for their services. I was a little disappointed that I only got one coat of polish on my manicure and pedicure, and the technician didn't spend much time with the foot scrubber to remove dead skin. I also didn't receive a shoulder massage at the drying station when everyone else did. I think my technician was rushing so she could get to a walk-in, which is fine, but I had made an appointment. I hope that this service changes, or that this was an off-day, as I would like to return. read more
