Stopped here to give the place a chance. Big mistake! The place was crowded. The manicure was rushed. She used paper towels for toe separators. She applied the nail polish on top of the old color that she didn't remove. Needless blue dots show through pink polish. Solution was to fix the three nails, no thanks you didn't do it right the first time. On my way to my usual place to fix this hot mess. At least, I will get a warm towel and a proper manicure! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible experience with Ann. I walked in (per there signs) and was told to pick color. I waited 30 minutes. During this rime Ann was visibly upset and kept raising her voice. I asked her how much longer it would be 30 minutes later. She said 10 minutes. I left & came back in 10 minutes. She rolled her eyes at me. I continued to wait & listen to her rant and rave. The whole time I was praying I'd get the other nail tech. She kept yelling at her customer to hold still. I couldn't believe it. Another woman was waiting and she told her to soak her nails in straight acetone. When she said she preferred if she would put the cotton with acetone on her nails she started throwing stuff around. She did it but was clearly pissed about it. My turn came & she tried to tell me to soak in acetone, when I said I'd like to do same way as other customer she completely flipped out & said she wouldn't do it!!! I was actually a little scared of her rage. The other tech said she only did it for other customer because she waited longer than me. Does that make any sense??? WTH. None of the other salons have EVER requested me to soak my fingers it straight acetone. I couldn't believe the way I was treated. I waited 90 minutes to basically watch a very enraged tech -ANN- get angrier & angrier & basically explode in a fit of rage. It was unbelievable. Obviously I left! This place is a joke. As I was deciding on my color, an older lady came up to me and my girlfriend and was very pushy about just picking a color. She even clucked at me to hurry. I swear I was standing there for a minute and she was impatiently pacing back and forth. I don't know what her issue was, but after the clucking I told my friend we had to leave. We ended up going to another salon and took our time picking out a color without being harassed. read more

I have been going on & off to this place for a while and almost every time i go in i tell myself not to go back but it is close to my house so i end up going there again. These people provide the worst service ever! 1. Their place is not clean and i say that b/c last time i went in there was a big dirty looking nail staring at me on top of my technicians table right next to where she had me put my arms and hands. Eww i almost threw up! Yuck! 2. They keep talking in their language and we know that they are talking about us b/c they make it so obvious by staring right at us. WOW really? I've seen some people telling them that "Hey we are here to relax and not to hear you guys bicker" and they stop for like a second and then start by talking slow then the whole thing starts again. I mean my GOD...you guys spend the entire day together just about everyday so how can you still have so much to talk about that you all just won't be quiet? 3. They need to upgrade their nail polish. Last time i went for manicure, my nail polish started coming off the next day and believe me i didn't do anything that would make it come off that fast. I went back to them to tell them that look at what's happening with the nail polish & all..the lady there says to me "This pink nail polish is not that good, it doesn't stay on for that long...it comes off in few days. You should try this other one, this one probably won't come off for a while". All i wanted to say to her was that "why the hell do you have it there then? i'm not paying you to polish my nails for 2 days. My nail polish usually last for at least a week and a half if not more! 4. Also, they sometimes force people to tip them more then what the customers want to give them! If they had actually provided a good service, i'm sure people would've probably given them 20% of their total but you all are not even good at what you do so why force customers to give you more and more money and give them the evil eye and handle them roughly? NOT GOOD AT ALL! I can keep going with the reasons why this place is not good to get anything done at or why i won't be going back but i think you all get the point. Don't go to this place if you know what's best for you...unless you don't care about what they say or how they treat you! read more

Worst salon experience I have ever had. I went to get acrylic nails removed and the lady did so my taking another acrylic nail and prying it in between my real nail and the fake nail I had on it. She then proceeded to rip the fake off and in doing so ripped off half my real nail. She then put nail polish over it even after I had told her to stop repeatedly. So I went here on Mother's Day. I should have know when the lady who told me to sit down looked annoyed. I figured, they were just busy. I settled into my massage chair and relaxed. No one asked for the polish that I had chosen, no big deal. I had to look several times to see if anything was being done on my toes, that is how light the pressure was, she cut my toe nails with a cuticle cutter??!! Who does that! No big deal, everyone does thing differently. The nail polish was sitting on my lap and I am enjoying the chair. She asked for my polish, I go to hand it to her and I notice that it has spilled on my dress. She said "oh." that is all. No sorry, no Oh My. She tells me she has something that can get it out, but that it will smell. "no worry". So she finished my toes and rushes me off to get the manicure. I said what about my dress, she says "here, we try this". I am hovering over the pedicure sink with my dress and she pours this solution on and starts to rub the dress together. My dress now has this HUGE pink stain on it! I tell her that my dress is ruined and she says that I need to go home and rub it some more with a stain remover. I was beyond upset at this point. I fussed louder then I wanted to and no one offered to pay for the dress, the pedicure or offer any type of compensation. I got up and walked out the door! She calls after me, "you forgot to pay"! I turned and said, "you ruined my dress and you think that I am going to pay"! I will never, ever go back! read more

Worst nail salon in Northern Virginia. Their customer service is horrible. Their gel manicure did not even last a week.

Worst place ever! I used to come here in high school back in 2000 but after 2003 something happened that the service just got horrible. Decided to try it out because I was back in my hometown and it was the worst experience ever. The lady who did my eyebrows literally pushed me down onto the chair then poked and prodded through my eyes instead of doing carefully . Then when she asked me to look in the mirror I told her if she could take out a little bit more because she had left almost all the hairs on the bottom part of near my eyelid and she started complaining and gave me the tweezers to do it on my own. As to all these poor reviews . . . I second the emotion. Like the others, I go back every few months because of the location . . . but, truly, the technicians' skills are remarkably poor; management is obviously unconcerned about sanitation, nail health or customer satisfaction. Went back to have gel overlay (polish) removed; technician tried scraping it off without even attempting to soak in acetone first. All that pressure against the nail, pulling the polish off the nail surface, meant that my natural nails were being damaged. I had to insist on soaking, but it wasn't done willingly .... I was really disappointed with my visit. The salon was cramped and the workers did not seem happy to be there. When getting my nails done, the technician kept swatting my hands out of the way, and it felt almost berating. Also, my nails are really uneven and slanted, and one is already chipping. There was acrylic that got under my nail and she tried to sand away at it, and the tool burned my skin. Also, when I was trying to walk through the salon, a lay giving a pedicure was blocking the way, I barely squeezed through and the worker didn't even move. Also, my nails are already chipping! This is a great place to come to do your nails if you happend to have a first aids kit near by or arms reach. I came to this 'nail salon' about a week ago to get a full set of acrylics. The price wasnt that bad and bexuase they were open later than most nail shops i decided to take the risk. The lady that did my nails was so aggressive and rude. She filed my thumb nail so badly and roughly that it started to bleed. I couldnt believe it but my thumb was bleeding! I then asked her is she had neosporin or sonething she didnt tell me anything " it happends sometimes". She didnt even have the decenscy of apologizing or offering me anything to compensate for HER mistake. Not only do i now have a scar on my thumb that reminds me of how much "My nails" was the biggest mistake of my life but Its been ONE WEEK, and i have already had 5 nails come off. I'm not sure if she used paper mache or what on my nails, but i have never had my nails come off so easily and soo fast after getting them done a week before!! On top of the HORRIBLE service i received, she and the other employees (though i dont speak the common language) were speaking in their languages in front of me, not even being able to engage in conversations. I wouldnt reccomend this to Satan himself. Horrible service, unfriendly staff, not very clean, Very limited on nail polish selection. Made an appointment this evening to get a pedicure and manicure and thoroughly loved my experience in a nice quiet environment. My nail technician was extremely personable and I must say all of the ladies I have witnessed ever working in this nail salon are working very hard. I have been there over a dozen times now and I will continue giving them my business. Also I have and will continue to refer my friends and family. You get a great deal for a manicure & pedicure....$28, but if you want to pay high dollar and be pampered and served hot tea, there are other spas that I am sure would be happy to meet your needs and take 3 times the price you are paying here. Every visit here I have been pleased with my services. It's amazing how few people who had a great experience here have taken the time to provide a good review. We owe it to these hard working ladies to compliment and express our gratitude when we get good service. read more
