The scary type of gym people who don't know any better imagine, Except, there was nothing scary about it. Familiar faces, classical Equipment and the knowledge that you were gonna leave better than when you came. Miami Iron Gym takes me back to that. It's a place where grunting is allowed so long as you retail your weights. There's no link alarm and no texting. You don't workout, you train. No wannaBe drill sergeants shouting Etsy quotes at you while they film themselves. It's beautiful: people lifting. Imagine that. I was in town and didn't want to skip Leg day so I paid the drop in fee and spoke to Mr Juan at the front desk who was great. I made very sure to get my moneys worth in their variety of machines. With these three spaces combined Life Time has really embodied the meaning of a luxury athletic country club. The first three floors make up the Fitness and Work space. The rest of the high-rise is Life Time Living: residences. Floor one: front desk and check-in, group-instructed classes and studios, the kids academy and Life Time Work. Floor two: the cafe, spa and salon, locker rooms, two swimming pools, and a huge cardio room with treadmills, stair masters, elliptical, etc. Floor three: the main fitness floor, and the chiropractic wellness center. I went in around 4 AM when the gym opened and there were less than 5 people in the entire facility. Very quiet. Though they do have a dedicated cardio room on the second floor, if you go to the third floor there's even more cardio equipment in the GTX area. All of the equipment is state-of-the-art and up-to-date by Technogym. The locker rooms are some of the most spacious I have ever seen with private changing rooms . It also includes the typical whirlpool, sauna, steam room, and cold plunge area. I didn't get a chance to experience the group classes since I was there very early in the morning but I'll definitely be back to see how they compare to LT.

Actual review: I've been to this Youfit before and remember it completely different. What used to be packed and waiting for gym equipment is almost non existent now. It could be because of the time of day and the actual day. I went and did a three day pass on Sunday at 1 pm for reference. I was able to work out on the cable machines and free weights without any issues. Although I am used to going to smaller gyms because of the crowds, I was able to do everything I wanted and then some without bother. Same thing goes for today (Tuesday) at 2 pm, where I had no issues using any gym equipment. Bathrooms are well kept (to my standards) and they have AstroTurf with a heavy bag for those that box. I've been working out since 2019 and it doesn't bother me when there are handles and miscellaneous dumbbells on the floor. You're going to find that everywhere you go. Place more importance on getting in, doing your workout and getting out for a convenient price and location, while still staying conscious of price. Would I go here again? Yes.

Each workout is an hour long; there's always a warm-up. There are also options to scale down the exercise, if necessary, due to injury or newness. I've been attending this gym for about a year and a half, and I cannot say enough great things about it. I'm always encouraged to come back because I continue to see results, I've been getting stronger, and I've made friends. What more can one ask for in a gym?
