Prior to arriving in Grand Junction, I had looked up dinner options and the menu for this place…read morelooked really interesting. So we stopped by on a Monday evening for dinner. This is very much an American version of an Irish pub - basically an American bar with all sorts of green everywhere. The hostess was welcoming until she went to seat us at the table right next to the door when there was tons of open seating. So I asked for a different table and she seemed put off by the request. Our server was Brittney and she took our order. I ordered the Highlander Sliders and hubby ordered the Irish Stew and the Malted Vinegar Chips. I checked to be sure the sliders would be well done. When our food arrived, it all looked fairly good. The sliders were burnt, though. Well done doesn't equate to charring the outsides. They were dried out because of that but the sauce they use helped. They sliders came with fries. They were good. Hubby liked his stew but the chips didn't have any vinegar on them and were overly salted. They were served with French onion dip so that was good. Overall this was somewhat of a let down. I was really looking forward to a good dining experience but they missed the mark.

I stopped in here the other night after dinner, for a cocktail. The entrance is slightly confusing…read more- it's through a shared entrance where there's also a store (it was closed at the time). There's a small patio outside, and inside the restaurant there's a very large bar with seating, as well as plenty of tables/seating. It's fairly dark/cozy inside, with of course, Irish music playing. The bartender was very friendly, greeted me when I walked in, and made me a drink based on what I wanted (everything in the menu looked pretty sweet). It was delicious. I didn't have any food, but enjoyed my after dinner cocktail!

What a cute place! When I arrived on a Thursday night it was POPPIN and they had live music which…read morewas a super fun vibe. You go to the counter to order and then find a spot where you can. They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! I was stuffed after a few corn and about half the curry plate. I am so happy I tried this place out! Will definitely be trying it again when I'm back in town!

I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere, as the place definitely has great vibes, and I loved…read morethat they had a wide variety of different beers on tap to choose from. I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. Come for the beers, skip the food and same yourself some dough figuratively and literally.

Trail Life Brewing - The Swiss melt with fries. This was the best "grilled cheese" ever. The apples and bacon jam on it was absolutely delicious.
