We ordered a couple brews and three pizzas. The Ocktoberfest was crisp and smooth. The Colorado Peach cider was refreshing! All the pizzas were delicious (Kid's cheese, the Cowboy and the Calda). The salads and apps sounded great but had to draw the line somewhere. We sat on the patio/porch and the weather was perfect. It was a quiet evening with some good food. We would absolutely go back!

Where all your dreams come true. Before our road trip from Denver to ridgway, this was my #1 spot lined up to go to and it lived up to its expectations. Friday night live music was such a vibe. Come here if you're in town for a beer and you won't regret it!

Good pizza and great beer. I learned this later but their hot oil is a must!!! If you carry out, make sure you sprinkle a little on your pizza before you leave. Another great suggestion if that if you want to have the kitchen to half cook the pizza to get the fire crust taste, you can take home and finish in your own oven. The Pale beer is the local favorite and worth trying. Was probably my favorite one. I tried the IPA#9 and the Colorado Boy IPA which were equally delicious. A must stop if you're in town.

Local IPA, very good and quite strong, and the cowboy with modifications. Exchange the grape tomatoes with kalmata olives.

Great vibes. They make their own beer, which is always a plus. And I was offered marinara sauce and pesto sauce. Friendly and informative staff.

This is my new once a week regular the pizza is just decadent. They make their dough fresh and wooow you can taste it !! Everything I have tried from pizza to the salads have been nothing but above and beyond. It is rare to go to a place and have the same quality every time! They do not disappoint!!! The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Did I mention the have some of the best beer and ale. My goodness they distill right here on property and you can taste how fresh it is. So many choices to choose from!! The place is kept very clean but has limited seating. I wish it was just a bit bigger but it's gorgeous in here. James and Mary are some of the best bartenders I have witnessed they truly made you feel at home. I would have to say my favorite pizza is the honey pie they make here I have never had anything like it and I'm addicted!!! Go try for yourself and see what you are missing !!

Delicious! Pricier than expected, $22+ for a pizza & $8 pints. The hot honey pie was delicious & service was good.

We ordered 2 grilled mother cluckers and bock bock fries (our go to). It was about 4pm and there were only a few people there (we were the only ones outside). After about 40 minutes waiting for our food I decided to go in to check on things. Our order was sitting on the counter. Their response was "sometimes the buzzer doesn't work from the table you're sitting at"..... ummmmm what? We ended up eating the cold chicken (and I mean cold, not luke warm) sandwiches because we were starving but asked them to remake the fries. Fast forward to a few weeks ago it was a Friday and me and a friend ordered some sandwiches and sat in the back half of the brewery . After about 25 minutes my buzzer went off. When I got up to the counter there was an order of fish and chips... they called the wrong buzzer. No biggie. Well another 20 minutes went by and nothing. People around us that ordered after us were getting their food. So I went back up to the counter and there on their service line were our chicken sandwiches. When I asked the employee about my order she went back and checked and came back and said "we just finished them up". I took the sandwiches back to the table and again they were COLD. Not to mention since the coleslaw was sitting on the bun they were completely soggy. Didn't take the sandwiches back because we had a baby with us that needed to go to bed. I'm not sure if it's a buzzer issue or what. But we aren't sure if / when we will be returning to Pomona, sadly.

The kids enjoyed their food and we enjoyed ours as well so that was a hit. The space itself is nice and modern and you order at the counter which was honestly also nice and easy with kids in tow. The beers were all good but we did have a bit of a snafu with the bartender as I went to order our drinks and I didn't have my ID on me. I can't fault her too much as I know it's required and you must be 21 to drink, but I'm 38, and I haven't been ID'd in YEARS So, it was a bit of a let down to have that be such an issue. I did after all also have my 40 year old husband and two kids in tow so there wasn't much about me that screamed "under 21". All that to be said, we ended up having an overall good time and I'd return. I think that if we lived here this would be a regular spot for us, and I'd remember to bring my ID!

For drinks we ordered dirty martinis. They were filled to the rim which was nice but could have been colder. The menu looked great. We went with burgers. We also ordered the Truffle mushroom burger medium with a mixture of cremini, oyster, shiitake mushrooms plus Swiss cheese and truffle aioli plus all the toppings. It was cooked perfectly medium. It also came with the delicious slaw. The buns were a bit big but at least they were soft and delicious. The dessert. So tasty. Honestly $27 is pricy for a burger but it was very good. We would come back to Smuggler union try other menu items next time we return to Telluride.

July 18, 2026 - Montrose, CO…read more The dog-friendly outdoor patio first caught our eye, and then the name--Horsefly Brewing Company--along with its great reviews convinced us to stop for lunch. We're so glad we did! The patio is spacious and comfortable, with several seating areas that give it a relaxed atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, and his recommendation of the Flatlander Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) was spot on. Since my husband and I often split meals, we ordered one sandwich to share. To our surprise, it arrived already divided onto two separate plates--a thoughtful touch that's becoming all too rare. That kind of service definitely earns extra points. The sandwich was delicious, with grilled chicken breast, guacamole, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle mayo, served with perfectly cooked crispy fries. I ordered an iced tea but couldn't resist trying a sample of their seasonal Peach Ale. It was so good that I ended up ordering a small glass. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but this one was outstanding. I only wish they sold it in cans so I could have taken some home! Before we left, my husband picked up a couple of cans of his favorite beers and a Horsefly T-shirt. Great food, excellent service, tasty beer, and a welcoming dog-friendly patio made this a memorable stop. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
