Our room was updated with nice, newer furnishings, and the bed was very comfortable. The tall trees gave great summer time shade over the buildings and courtyard, and made for a great environment to have morning coffee out in the courtyard. We highly recommend this place!

Primrose is a small motor court style of motel with 7 rooms and 1 suite (that I could see) in a separate building. You park in front of your door and my room was small but large enough for one person. The interior was nicer than I expected. It was a well furnished room with nice amenities in the bedroom and bathroom that had a walk in shower. The ac worked well and the room was quiet. The property has a shaded patio area with a gas operated fire pit for cool nights and comfortable chairs to sit around it while relaxing. This business is well kept and maintained. Behind the motel is a nice RV park that is also part of this business. Check in was a little weird. I arrived when the office was supposed to be open in the evening but it was closed. So I called the telephone on the door (if the office was closed) and got an answering machine that said its mailbox was full! I had to knock hard on the windows for the manager to come to the office to let me check in. I believe that she and her hubby live behind the office. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again if the price was right. No breakfast here unlike Days Inn but Safeway and a couple of fast food restaurants are with 3 minutes walking distance.

From the planning to the rehearsal to the day we arrived at the event Tony and his crew could not have been more accomodating. Stephanie, the on-site coordinator, undeniably loves her job and it shows! She was so helpful and always there to answer any questions we had. We had an unfortunate debacle with the florist we hired and without hesitation Stephanie jumped into action the day of the wedding making suggestions, offering solutions, and providing support. Because of her my daughter had fresh flowers on her cake which would have otherwise been naked due to the florist's mistakes. She truly went above and beyond for us! Our daughter and her fiance chose the taco bar buffet menu. I have to tell you I was not thrilled with their choice before the event but after seeing the quantities provided, the amount of fresh toppings, and tasting everything I was very pleased! Our guests could not stop commenting how great the food was! The room change over from buffet to dancing went really smoothly and we hardly noticed it was happening. Their wait staff was constantly clearing tables and tidying up and Stephanie kept everything moving according to our schedule. The bartender was lovely made great drink suggestions and made great cocktails! And what can you say about the venue itself? It was my daughter's first and only choice for her wedding after visiting the property. The scenery and landscaping are amazing, there is not one bad place to take a photo! Our experience was truly amazing and I want to thank The Windmill House for making my daughter's wedding a wonderfully memorable event for all the right reasons!

Our stay was…read morethe final stop on a six day camping trip, and this was our chance to sleep in a nice bed and shower before we headed back to civilization. So glad we chose the Hat Ranch, as it suits our outdoor style to a "T". The directions in were very easy to follow, and our Toyota Tacoma picked up a beautiful red patina of Arizona dust. Sharon, our host, greeted us at the main house and then escorted us to our quarters. As this was our first time here, she took extra time explaining all about our stay, which included a home cooked breakfast today. You can Google the Historic Hat Ranch for all the cool details, but suffice to say there are some very presidentially mended fences here on the expansive 2,800 acres. Our room was very nice, twin beds and a nicely appointed bathroom. Also a spacious deck to view the open Ranch space. We opened the windows and breathed in the fresh air...scented with juniper and noble fir trees right out our door. We didn't see any, but Sharon told us Elk frequented the area often. Many other wild creatures to see too, including javelinas. The baby colt on the way in made my wife's day, and he quickly posed for some pictures and romped away. This has been a perfect cherry on the top of our anniversary Sunday. If you love the outdoors and crave a rustic Ranch experience with warm hospitality, the Hat Ranch is the place for you.
