I know all of my guests enjoyed the space, many traveled from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, California, Colorado and Texas! The Retreat offered a luxury shuttle that brought our guests to and from the wedding. Most of the guests stayed in cute Williams on Route 66. My husband and I spent the night in the VERY ROMANTIC candle lit Tipi. What a treat, I'll never forget it! So cozy, bohemian and beautiful! There were many special touches throughout, I know this place is only going to get more and more amazing over time! I will definitely be coming back for a yoga retreat!

Everyone kept asking "how in the world did you find this beautiful venue?" Both Emily and Joshua went the extra mile to make sure the day was perfect. Anything I needed changed or had questions on they were both right there. We had over 120 people at the wedding and everyone fit in there to my surprise! We did move a few tables for dancing but it was a fabulous night & wish we could go back!!

So glad we chose the Hat Ranch, as it suits our outdoor style to a "T". The directions in were very easy to follow, and our Toyota Tacoma picked up a beautiful red patina of Arizona dust. Sharon, our host, greeted us at the main house and then escorted us to our quarters. As this was our first time here, she took extra time explaining all about our stay, which included a home cooked breakfast today. You can Google the Historic Hat Ranch for all the cool details, but suffice to say there are some very presidentially mended fences here on the expansive 2,800 acres. Our room was very nice, twin beds and a nicely appointed bathroom. Also a spacious deck to view the open Ranch space. We opened the windows and breathed in the fresh air...scented with juniper and noble fir trees right out our door. We didn't see any, but Sharon told us Elk frequented the area often. Many other wild creatures to see too, including javelinas. The baby colt on the way in made my wife's day, and he quickly posed for some pictures and romped away. This has been a perfect cherry on the top of our anniversary Sunday. If you love the outdoors and crave a rustic Ranch experience with warm hospitality, the Hat Ranch is the place for you.

Primrose is a small motor court style of motel with 7 rooms and 1 suite (that I could see) in a separate building. You park in front of your door and my room was small but large enough for one person. The interior was nicer than I expected. It was a well furnished room with nice amenities in the bedroom and bathroom that had a walk in shower. The ac worked well and the room was quiet. The property has a shaded patio area with a gas operated fire pit for cool nights and comfortable chairs to sit around it while relaxing. This business is well kept and maintained. Behind the motel is a nice RV park that is also part of this business. Check in was a little weird. I arrived when the office was supposed to be open in the evening but it was closed. So I called the telephone on the door (if the office was closed) and got an answering machine that said its mailbox was full! I had to knock hard on the windows for the manager to come to the office to let me check in. I believe that she and her hubby live behind the office. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again if the price was right. No breakfast here unlike Days Inn but Safeway and a couple of fast food restaurants are with 3 minutes walking distance.

I've been looking all around for a perfect venue something that offers so much beauty. I always wanted a garden wedding but when I saw this venue I was in love. It's basically like a garden to me even tho it's a ranch because this has so much plants PLUS they have animals! They have black Labradors & they're so well trained! Super cute plus we also rented a horse for photos! He was such a sweet horse! Overall, My wedding was magical and dreamy. It was so perfect. I could say so much more but perfection would be the best to define it. Pros: the package you pay for includes food, service, assistants/servers, casita/bridal suite, grooms suite, whole ranch to use, lots of space for parking, aisle walking distance to the barn for reception, chairs, tables, & etc. it's a good package deal. Cons: I wouldn't say it's cons but more like what's not included in the package: coordinator, photographer, bartender, decoration, dessert/cake, florist, dj, music equipments, and liquor/alcohol for reception. Basically you would need to find your own for those but it is not bad and it's easy because she has a whole list for you to choose from when you sign up for the venue and contract. Cons also would be the darkness after the reception haha but it's manageable. Others cons would be no signal for the most part but it's a good thing so people focus on the day and not social media/phone connection. I wanted it unplugged anyway. I have no complains though. It was just BEAUTIFUL & I had lots of out of state guests & they all loved it! They complimented how beautiful my wedding was & the venue made it more magical and dreamy. The food was delicious. Carolyn is such a kind hearted, beautiful person inside and out. I loved her since the first day I met her until my wedding and even until now. She is a sweetheart & responds to email quickly. Located just outside Prescott, JWR boasts acres of beautiful countryside with accommodation types ranging from quaint, but fully equipped cabins, to more adventurous options, like a yurt and a safari tent. Guests can bring their own food, or plan to drive back to Prescott for meals (definitely not as convenient!). Plenty of linens and blankets are provided. Guests staying in the adventurous accommodations can use the 2 half bathrooms (sink and toilet) in the office building; there is also one full bathroom with a gorgeous shower in the new "Santa Fe" building. My women's retreat took over the entire property both times I visited and it was great fun to visit with the animals (horses, goats, cats, peacock!) and enjoy nature. I have stayed in a teepee and the safari tent, appropriately named the "Hemingway." The safari tent boasts a king size, 4 poster bed which was really comfortable! JWR is available for weddings, retreats, and other large events, as well as for solo guests/families, space permitting.
