It was so nice driving around in our own backyard exploring different places of winery in Arizona. I've been too Napa twice since moving up to the continent and just love Napa and all the local wineries.. So why not, try it here in Arizona! The drive from Phoenix to Granite was just about 2 hrs and that's with traffic. This is a cute hidden gem in Chino Valley, AZ. Of course, this really isn't the season of harvest or any grapes growing on the vines but, more so a season for each vines to be at sleep and being nurtured for their season of harvest to come. I love their decor place as you walk into their garden area where there are tables set up to enjoy your wine and bringing your own food to sit and enjoy some fresh air. We did there wine tasting, which was only $10. Not bad compare to the prices in Napa and knowing their wines come from their backyard. The only part that I thought was a little uninteresting was the wine tasting. I guess because we've had so many experiences in Napa - I would expect a little more education of each wine that was being poured! I think she wanted us to purchase a glass of wine, to go outside and relax. Which would of been fine but, we were set to do just a few different wine tasting in AZ and when we asked questions about some of the wines being poured - it was more of a short and sweet answer! Which, I picked up quickly and no longer wanted to be in there but, just be polite and finish it off. Buy a bottle and be on our merry way, which is exactly what we did.. Their property is beautiful for catering events and weddings but, for us it was a one time stop!

Worth the drive! This family owned vineyards is welcoming, well curated and not pretentious. The wine appeals to a variety of tastes. If you want to take a nice drive with a lovely stop along the way please visit and oh take some wine home :).

What a wonderful vineyard! This beautiful property is a quick 25 minute drive north of Prescott and, when the weather is nice, you can spend a whole afternoon lounging around with a glass or a bottle. Glasses of wine are $8, and bottles are in the $30 range. We started off with a flight of all their wines (also $8) so that we could pick our favorite. They have a fridge with some cheese and fruit tastings to purchase and offer complimentary crackers (that we fed to the peacocks - shhh). This would be a great place for a picnic or outdoor party - several other groups brought their own sandwiches and cakes. I wish I would have been there for the live music on Saturday! SUMMARY: Beautiful grounds, great wines, peacocks, picnics and heavy pours.

Granite Creek Vineyards is a beautiful winery! I have been to a couple and who would have thought a AZ one in my own state actually nearby home would be the best to me. We went with a group of 18 just because and we ALL really liked it and had a phenomenal experience! They have wine tasting sessions Friday, Saturday & Sundays from 1-5pm. You can also buy per the glass $8 each or bottles $25+. We did the picnic lunch there for $12.50 and it was very good food. The only reason why I didn't rate it five stars is because you can not take the signature glasses home like at some wineries. Everything was exceptionally great, but for the $$$ we spent I think souvenir glasses should have been included. lol

I came here for a wine tasting recently and I fell in love. This place is quaint and charming. The service is wonderful and everyone is so nice. The wines we tried were great and we wound up with a bottle, cheese board, and bruschetta. I would definitely come back.

Cutest little vineyard in chino valley. If you're trying to find a spot to hang out for the day, this is it. There is live music and peacocks! I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting, great variety of wine and even brought one of the bottles home. They have their own parking when you turn in to the vineyard. Food is also available from a food truck, but it is technically a different business and only accepts cash. It also looks like Granite Creek will make you a picnic if you let them know you will be there in advance. Good to know for next time. I didn't know this at the time, but you can feed the peacocks!!! They will walk right up to you just like a dog!

Drove up north to get out of the heat a d do t regret it for a minute ! This adorable little vineyard is so quiet and the wine is awesome ! Definitely start with the flight and then order a glass and a few bottles !

A great little find if you're up in the Prescott area and have some time on Saturday afternoon. It's sort of in a residential area, but once there you forget all about it. They have lots of shade in the courtyard area and a food truck that sells some pretty good foods that's goes with the wine. It's not Napa Valley so don't get your hopes up. That being said it's a great place to hang out and enjoy some decent wine. They have live music on Saturday afternoons and sometimes host weddings. Definitely worth a stop if you're not too far away.

These people are amazing. We had a pre-wedding get together in October and there was a little cottage they let us rent to hold dessert while we were outside drinking and watching the peacocks. Really friendly staff. Beautiful spot. Delicious wine. Would visit again and again while in Prescott.

I had seen the story about him (Tyler) on CBS Sunday Morning. I got VIP tickets for the Thursday evening show. I was having a problem with my tooth and decided I needed to see a dentist on Thursday. Got a 2pm appt and found out my wisdom tooth was infected and needed to be pulled. I told the dentist we had tickets for a show at 5pm. He said he'd get me out in 15 minutes. So, off we went to see Tyler with my swollen face and cotton stuffed in my mouth. Getting the chance to chat with Tyler and hear his story was absolutely inspiring. He performed in an old barn on a historic ranch. When he performs and opens the barn doors behind him the view of the incredible red rocks just take your breath away and listening to Tyler play just takes you to another place. We loved the show so much that we got tickets for his Saturday evening Celtic show which is at an intimate dance studio. Tyler was so sweet and asked how my tooth was doing. From the planning to the rehearsal to the day we arrived at the event Tony and his crew could not have been more accomodating. Stephanie, the on-site coordinator, undeniably loves her job and it shows! She was so helpful and always there to answer any questions we had. We had an unfortunate debacle with the florist we hired and without hesitation Stephanie jumped into action the day of the wedding making suggestions, offering solutions, and providing support. Because of her my daughter had fresh flowers on her cake which would have otherwise been naked due to the florist's mistakes. She truly went above and beyond for us! Our daughter and her fiance chose the taco bar buffet menu. I have to tell you I was not thrilled with their choice before the event but after seeing the quantities provided, the amount of fresh toppings, and tasting everything I was very pleased! Our guests could not stop commenting how great the food was! The room change over from buffet to dancing went really smoothly and we hardly noticed it was happening. Their wait staff was constantly clearing tables and tidying up and Stephanie kept everything moving according to our schedule. The bartender was lovely made great drink suggestions and made great cocktails! And what can you say about the venue itself? It was my daughter's first and only choice for her wedding after visiting the property. The scenery and landscaping are amazing, there is not one bad place to take a photo! Our experience was truly amazing and I want to thank The Windmill House for making my daughter's wedding a wonderfully memorable event for all the right reasons!
