Came to Roman Inn for brunch and had an enjoyable meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated and they have outdoor seating, as well. My iced coffee had a nice presentation and was throughly enjoyed. The main selections were: Vegetable Omelet (The entire dish came with lots of food. The salad was large, the home fries were well seasoned and the omelet was packed with seasonal vegetables....and large, as well). The other was the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes (The pancakes were thin and there was so much ricotta, that you didn't even need the lemony syrup). Overall, I recommend the Roman Inn for a filling brunch and nice surroundings.

This place has a focaccia pizza dough that's incredible. You got to check this out. All the pastas are great. This was the old Roman Inn reinvented

Tucked behind a humble exterior, Roman Inn is a masterclass in understated excellence. The warm lighting and wood-grain tables create an inviting vibe that feels intentional yet unpretentious. It's a hidden gem that's somehow still flying under the radar--and that's shocking, because this place serves one of the best sandwiches on the East Coast. The Spicy Roman Inn sandwich is a game-changer. As a sandwich enthusiast who's scoured Brooklyn bodegas and Tuscan trattorias, I can confidently say this is a masterpiece. Perfectly balanced with bold spice, impeccable structure, and generous portions, it's the kind of sandwich that redefines the genre. The wings are fantastic, and the pizza delivers tradition with a bold twist, but the Spicy Roman Inn steals the show--its flavors linger long after the last bite. Skeptical? So was I when a friend dragged me here from New York. One bite, and I was hooked, adding Roman Inn to my GPS favorites. I've since bypassed countless "must-try" spots to return for that sandwich. This isn't just good food--it's a destination worth crossing state lines for. Get there before the secret's out and the lines start forming.

Found this place via Yelp when I was in the mood for a hero sandwich. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to order without waiting on line. Got half the Roman Inn Special (The Dom. $12.50). It was solid sandwich and filling. If you're in the area and in the mood for a sub, I would highly recommend this spot. * Street parking * Outdoor dining available (weather permitting) * Sweet peppers - $0.50

I found this place thru a friend and let me tell you. In car lingo...it's firing on all cylinders! Wow. I went yesterday and tried the breakfast tacos...insane! Tried the three different wings..very good, tried the friend Oreos in red velvet batter with ice cream, incredible. Went back today for a sandwich, soo good. Service is the best, and such a warm and inviting atmosphere. They're also BYOB which is amazing as well. I really loved it, I'll be back this week.

wow, amazing, fresh, right out of the oven pizza!! i had to sprinkle some salt and hot pepper flakes on it, but wow - fresh, delicious dough, quality mozzarella. i will definitely become a regular!

Ordered directly from their website for pickup as I heard from a friend the food was good. Also meant to try as I always drove past it. Finally did and was a bit disappointed. I ordered 1 medium plain pizza, 1 Mac pizza pie Large, and 18 wings w fries and extra dressing. First off I get a message when to pick up my food followed by another message 2 minute later that they are busier than normal and my order would be delayed, fine. I get there a few minutes past the stated time of pickup and they said it was still not ready. As I was waiting for my food heard the guy making the pizza asking someone else how to make my pizza, waited an extra 10 minutes for my food. Then right before handing it to me I see the girl take a picture of my pizza before closing the box, didn't think much of it. I get handed the bodes and the medium pie box was 3/4 smaller than the large pie. It was the size of a personal in any other location. I take my food and drive home only to open the large pie (the one the picture was taken) and see that it's not cut. I was infuriated. Thankfully I like to make homemade pizzas so I have a cutter handy. I cut my pizza take a bite, and it's cold. Mind you I live 5 minute car ride from the place this should be. I go to take out the wings and fries and lo and behold no extra sauce which I paid extra for. The wings were good flavor but warm not really hot. In total I paid almost $90 for 3 items and sad to say I may not go here again.

What a cute spot! I absolutely love the unassuming decor. This place can be consider a "hole in the wall" but only because it's location. Upon entering , you are greeted my very chic decor and a welcoming environment. The staff was hospitable and always kudos when the chef comes out to have conversation. My table had the chicken and red velvet waffles. They did not disappoint, as the chicken was fl flavored and crisped to perfection and the waffles were the right amount of savory breakfast decadence. The Buffalo wings were equally delicious. I always appreciate a good presentation and they did not disappoint. The dishes are plated beautifully and looked appetizing as soon as it hits the table. I will be back!

Tenafly, NJ 07670 French Dip Tater Tots Marshmallow Soft Serve Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Located in the Riveredge Row Strip Mall at the intersection of Riveredge Road and Tenafly Road is a locally owned high end sandwich shop. Let's check out the two course meal I explored: French Dip: This signature sandwich was loaded with shaved prime rib, bits of bell peppers and was topped with melted swiss cheese. It was perfectly diagonally sliced on an Italian baguette. The beef was tender and juicy; also included was a savory au jus and a sharp horseradish sauce which both enhanced the flavor. I was more than satisfied down to the very last bite. Tater Tots: The tots make an excellent side to the sandwich. They were crunchy on the outside while soft and pillowy on the inside. The ketchup is a pretty decent, but the garlic aioli wins the dipping contest by a long shot. Marshmallow Soft Serve: To close out the meal, I explored this heavenly dessert. Roasted marshmallow is added to the base of the ice cream. The appearance may be simple and plain Jane, but its rich, smooth, and creamy taste is in a league of its own. As a bonus, a complimentary water cooler with ice and lemon slices is available. If you do not wish to drink water, a variety of cans and bottles are available for purchase. Thank you server Hailey and the cooking crew for preparing a flawless meal. #the130shop #130shoptenafly #frenchdipsandwich #marshmallowsoftserve

Eat MEAT!!!…read more If you are looking for a fantastic food oriented small business to accomplish this task, @the130shop has a menu full of meaty goodness. #The130Shop 's powers that be decided that @BigDudesBigFoods needed to try everything on menu! We started with the "French Dip" with plenty of au jus. Batting second was a delicious "BaconGrilledCheese" with cheddar & chihuahua cheese and some savory tomato soup for dipping. Joe & I hit up the "1/2. LB Meatball" samich next which was so good that you think that you are at a place that strictly makes meatball parm sandwiches. We tried the "130 Cheeseburger next with bacon lettuce and tomato . This double burger masterpiece is piled high and tasty too. As though there was any room on the table in came the "Buttermilk Fried Chicken" with cherry peppers, coleslaw, pickles and sherry Aïoli. That is no ordinary chicken sandwich. Also in this cruise buffet rivaling feast was a "Chicago Style Hotdog" with the works, perfectly cooked shoestring fries and crispy "tater tots." There was not a bad bite in the bunch. My favorite was the Bacon Grilled Cheese and I think Joe's was the 130 Cheeseburger but he also liked the horseradish sauce that came with the French Dip. Not that we want to disappoint our followers but there were doggy bags involved. The 130 Shop is really cool spot in Tenafly,NJ with a great staff and amazing chef.‍ It's part of a trio of establishments in the area with 130 Club and 130 Social. ATMOSPHERE (5/5) - Clean, no non-sense vibe that leans utilitarian but hey, you're here for quick bite! 2. FOOD (5/5) - Chicken was juicy, well-seasoned (not too salty!) with right amount of heat (I ordered medium spicy and taste was bolder and better vs. wife's mild which felt a bit bland) and their pickle gave a nice counterbalance. Fries were slightly "old" but full of potato flavor with that peanut oil, and the rice, the RICE in my bowl... together with the mild coleslaw (not too sweet, heavy-sauced, or acidic) was just... making symphony in my mouth. It was seriously delicious... rice... like what?! It had like that subtle halal flavor, gentle bite, and carried sauce well. So while I thought I'd never say this, I enjoyed the rice platter version of the Nashville hot chicken over the sandwich version. Sandwich version was ever so slightly dry in comparison as well. 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Only docking point because it took a bit long (15 min) for this type of food, but my man at the counter was very nice and hooked me up with free soda. He also mentioned royalty program which I misheard as telling me to pick any beverage (wife told me later), which was a nice touch. (Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude!) All in all with leftover to spare for next lunch, this was a surprisingly great meal. I'll definitely be back to try the smashed burgers! I never knew they were here though the guy told me they've been here for a few years at least... Well, now I know! The whole ambiance is a vibe... happy island vibes only! The menu is full of tropical flair with a Dominican influence. They use fresh, locally sourced ingredients in their drinks and food. They have smoothies, juices, meal replacement shakes, mofongo, patacon, sandwiches, wraps, empanadas, yaroa, etc. One of the best things about this place are the very reasonable and affordable prices! They have an open kitchen so you can see them prepare everything fresh on the premises. The staff has amazing energy! Super friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. They're attentive and interactive with customers. They gave me recommendations and delicious juice samples. They also have a rewards program where you can earn points towards freebies and discounts. I've tried a few things - some are hits and some are misses. *Chinola (Passion Fruit) Juice ($3.79) - A huge miss! The passion fruit was really lacking in flavor... it wasn't intense, refreshing, or tart. I felt like I was drinking sugary water. I couldn't even finish half of the drink because it was incredibly sweet. *Mamey Smoothie ($5) with evaporated milk ($1.89) - I've always been curious about trying mamey. An employee let me sample the actual fruit before I ordered the drink, which I appreciated. She recommended mixing it with evaporated milk. The texture was very creamy with a subtle taste similar to sweet potato or pumpkin. I think the sweetness of the milk overpowered the mamey, but it was a good try regardless. I wouldn't order it again - not my type of fruit LOL *Chicken Cheese Empanada ($2.34) - I know that there's regional variations when it comes to making the ideal empanada, but I just wasn't a fan of theirs. I prefer mine baked, but theirs is deep fried. The crust was too large for the filling. It was a bit oily and soggy. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well and was dry. I expected to bite into cheesy goodness, but to my surprise, there was barely any cheese. I ordered this in the afternoon, so maybe it didn't taste as good since it was sitting out under heat lamps. *Chimichurri Sandwich with pernil ($8) & tostones ($2.75) - A decent sandwich overall. It came with warmed cabbage, onions, tropical sauce (mayo + ketchup), and your choice of protein. The bread was lightly toasted and crunchy. The pernil (roasted pork) was tender, but not as rich in flavor as I would've liked it to be. I specifically ordered this for the chimichurri sauce, which has a signature zesty, vibrant, and fresh taste.... but I did not taste it at all :( It wasn't a bad sandwich - it's just not what I expected. The tostones (fried plantains) were deep fried to perfection with a crispy and salty exterior. I could eat these ALL DAY. The food and drinks were a 3, but the friendly service and warm atmosphere bring it up to a 4. I'm willing to stop by in the future to try more smoothies or even to munch on some tostones!
