I booked an appointment before an unexpected three-day stay in the hospital. My husband came home…read moreto hand our dog off to this groomer. He told her that I was in the hospital for pregnancy complications. About 15 minutes into the groom, the groomer calls me in the hospital instead of my husband at home to berate me about how awful my dog is because he wasn't that bad a year ago. She knew I was in the hospital because she said congratulations on the baby. My dog is senile and has dementia; of course he has changed since the last time she groomed him a year ago. She should have ended the groom right then and there, and I told her she could just stop the groom. We would have still paid her, as we are understanding people. When I arrived home from my hospital stay less than an hour after she was done with him, my dog couldn't stand up straight. His legs kept splaying out on the floor or he would fall over. He repeatedly walked into our bedroom wall. He then peed all over the carpet and he couldn't eat his dinner. He was unable to keep his head up. This was not what I wanted to come home to after a three-day stay in the hospital. I texted to ask if my dog had been drugged or injured because this behavior is very odd for him. The groomer called me to again tell me how awful my dog is, tell me she did not drug him, and that he must have "tired himself out." Then she said he was so awful that she had to "hold him down to groom him." I told her she should not have done that and should have been professional, said she couldn't groom him and return him to us. I actually thought she ruined what little time I have left with my senior dog. I thought I'd have to put him down. The next day he woke up alert, able to stand, and he was able to eat again so the effect of whatever she did to him must have worn off. I would never use this grooming company. I do think they drugged my dog (Benadryl???). If you look at their google reviews, you will see another review that mentions possible drugging.

Worked out perfect. Just took a phone call! Upon entry I could already tell it was a good choice. Super friendly staff, very gentle and accommodating. I had mentioned my Miniature Schnauzer has anxiety and can be slightly difficult to work with. So to hear them reassure they will be extra gentle was gratifying. Also because it was our first time there we were asked to bring in the latest vaccines to ensure safety. So that we did! After all the introductions and letting go of the leash from my clingy little boy. It was time to wait for the pick up call. Just an fyi I asked for a Mohawk, short body shave and some facial features that are a custom to the Miniature Schnauzer breed. You'll see from the photos below that they delivered! Just want to mention I am super grateful of the communication and updates they had given me. Like I had mentioned my little boy has anxiety so being with someone new I knew he wasn't going to take it too well. Yet they managed to call me inform me he was a bit tense, and extremely rebellious aka Snappy. If you know what I mean....So for them to mention that he needed to be muzzled was completely okay with me. The fact I got a call to let me know what's going on proves to me that they are caring. One for their staff and two for the safety of their little clients. All in all, about 5-6 hours lately due to breaks in between to ensure my Paco was not hurt during the snips. It was time to pick up my little boy! And wow was he happy to see me and so was I! Also disclaimer! Their pricing is beyond reasonable. I mean I was paying almost double at another location and wasn't receiving half of the requests I had given out. So that was very notable! Last but not least always tip! Be kind. These people work hard and deserve all the thanks they can get. So now that we are done with the majority of the review. About my boy, he melts my heart every minute, everyday and every time! Hats off to The Bowhaus Pet Company for making him look so adorable!

We left for Hawaii the day before the fires broke out and i watched on my camera system in horror as our windows blew out from the severe winds filling the house with embers, ash and branches from outside. She was there making sure it was taken care of and that all babies were still inside. She also ran to all her pets in immediate danger and evacuated them to her own home. She went even more above and beyond than she normally does and i will be forever grateful.

The love they get each day in the form of walks, pets, love and attention priceless, but then you add in The Long Leash special touches and it's beyond incredible: -after each visit, your walker will send personalized messages (with photos!) to you describing your angel's antics and actions (they are eagerly awaited by us everyday, and we promptly forward them to members of our family around the country who now love The Long Leash walkers as much as we do!) -we went on an extended vacation during which our walkers visited multiple times a day (messages after each visit, of course), and upon our return found a "welcome home" bouquet of flowers from our pets (our walkers). Adorable. -on rainy days, our walker takes our dog outside but then brings her in out of the rain to play brain games - she literally comes prepared with indoor fun to entertain and engage our angels even when they can't go outside! -they are experts at special requests and seem to love them and view them as a chance to know your pet better. -last but not least, our walker watches our pets' behavior as if they were her own, and notes any changes in appearance, and any new physical bumps or oddities that may be concerning, and any changes in behavior that we should look out for. I asked for a BATH prior to pick up. They gave her a bath but also CUT her hair. I am VERY particular about her grooming. It was a horrible cut. Hopefully it will grow back. How dare they cut her hair without my permission? I asked to speak to the owner in an email....never again were my emails returned. At that point I contacted American Express and had to dispute my charge! I suggest checking out Glassdoor.com. Unfortunately I saw the comments after this disaster.

Everyone on the team speaks to the dogs in a calm, soothing, gentle voice. I tell all my friends that it reminds me of a day spa for dogs. I can tell my little guy has so much fun here because he eagerly races inside and when I arrive to pick up him at the end of his stay he doesn't frantically leap into my arms like when he's finished at the vet - he is happy to see me but makes it clear that he's not quite ready to go LOL. We've used these services: *The Shab Cab: Super helpful. Kind, compassionate pickups from our home and rides home (this helped when we were inundated with my husband's surgery and didn't have a spare person available to drive him) *Overnight Boarding: Amazing. They sent me lots of photos every day and were super conscientious about following his routine. I can't speak highly enough about the kindness, professionalism, patience, and compassion of this team. They all clearly love animals and I'm so happy and grateful. I also appreciate that they offer exciting and innovative services such as anesthesia-free dental cleanings (which we plan to try soon) and the extended hours for Super Bowl Sunday. Forever fans! My dogs used to go to I dig my dog, but I stopped after an incident wherein my dogs had been peed on and attacked by a larger dog. I think any place that you choose is fine so long as the staff and the place resonates with you; for me, Dogtopia is that place. I absolutely love Dogtopia! Every month they provide you with a calendar of events, and you can take themed photographs of your dogs or do arts and crafts. My only complaint is that sometimes I feel like I am overcharged for the photographs, considering my dogs are in the photo together. However, the fact that they take the time and effort to do these projects with the dogs is so cute and appreciated. The boys also love going and every time we drive by, or pull up to the driveway they get really excited. I have left them overnight a couple of times and I have had no issues. Dogtopia provides kibble for them, and they also cook food for the dogs. Or you have the option of bringing your own food for them. I also really love that they provide you with a little report card whenever the dogs get boarded. There is an app so you can schedule when you want your dog to come in, and you can schedule grooming or spa appointments. There was an incident once where my dog had his nail cut a little too much and was bleeding. Dogtopia did let me know, and I appreciated that they took the time to remedy the situation. I was even offered a free day of daycare because of having to take my dog to the vetveterinarian. I feel like they really care about my dogs, and they know their names as soon as my boys arrive in. They are also aware of who is picking them up and who is on your emergency contact list. Whenever my dogs have had any issues, I get phone calls. For example, Kennedy did have a seizure and I was immediately called. There was also a time where one of my dogs had a large hematoma, and Dogtopia did a good job at making sure that his wrapping stayed intact. It was nice to be able to have Carmichael still go to daycare, even though he was in medical treatment. The staff is really friendly and for the most part they do a good job at making sure everything stays clean. I love getting the weekly newsletters, but my favorite is getting photographs of my dogs. If only they provided more photos! Plus, I love watching my dogs on camera.

What I appreciate most is the structured and supervised environment..it gives me peace of mind knowing Finn is not only safe but also engaged throughout the day. The live webcams are such a great feature, and I love being able to check in on him during work. The entire team is caring, professional, and trustworthy. It means so much to have a reliable place where I know Finn is happy, safe, and well cared for. Pasadena Pet was…read moremy last resort cause I had taken my dog Mindy (who sadly passed away in 4/2025) to pet smart and Tiffany's dog grooming both located in Pasadena who groomed Mindy but once they had a so-called issue with Mindy being as they said was aggressive they didn't want her coming back to their establishment luckily when I came into Pasadena pet I spoke w/pam the owner told her what petsmart and Tiffany's dog grooming both said about Mindy and she said ok I'll groom Mindy to see how she does if she' becomes aggressive I won't book another appointment but if she's calm she can continue coming. I took Mindy the first time and when I went to pick up Mindy, pam let me know how Mindy behaved and explained to me why Mindy had been aggressive during previous grooming visits. and suggested that in order for Mindy to remain calm during grooming visits that we put Mindy on a schedule of every 8 weeks she gets groomed and we did that and Mindy loved getting groomed. When I told them Mindy passed away they were so sweet and showed genuine care and concern that the next dog I get I'm taking I'm taking them back to Pam and Pasadena Pet. They were willing to let me have Mindy be watched by them during the day while my fiancee and I worked during the day and take care of business. They did an excellent groom on her which included a bath, brush out, some minor trimming and her nails. She looks like a show dog. I almost didn't recognize her from the riffraff version I'd dropped off earlier in the day. The groomer was gracious in communicating her behavioral challenges and we agreed she'll need some more frequent grooms to get with the program. Izzy seems to know she looks fabulous, she's walking around the house in what can only be described as a "strut."
