She's an extremely well behaved and relaxed dog, and yet we got a call from them saying that they cut her nose because she sneezed. When we came in, they were extremely casual about it, almost as if it is normal and we shouldn't overreact to the fact that we're about to take our dog into the vet because there's blood dripping down here face. They gave us the contact info of a vet that is an hour away from our house, saying that they would see us free of charge if we went in immediately. Naturally, if your dog was wining with pain from her nose being cut open you'd want to take her to the closest vet possible (but I'm sure they didn't want to have to pay for that bill). I understand that honest mistakes happen, but the lack of empathy or even apology that we were given was extremely telling of the people who run this establishment. The reviews were great so I trusted this place, but after cutting hundreds of dogs' hair, it's shocking that they cut my dog because of a simple sneeze. Don't take your pet here.

I've been taking bestie here for maybe a year now and I swear he comes back looking even cuter and like himself? His fur is so soft and fluffy. I've had groomers in the past just shave my doggy down and his fur would grow back weird. But my dogs fur grows back nice and soft and actually easier to manage because he has a curly type of hair. Whenever I go I expect to wait a few hours. I do not mind though because my groomer does a beautiful and consistent job each time. I highly recommend fluffy puppy for anyone in the market for getting there fluffy puppy groomed here. They definitely know what there doing. Danorris is GREAT at her job as a doggy stylist (please excuse my mispelling I love her ) she knows exactly what my dog needs and shes so gentle. !!!!!

I told them that the last vet I took him to cut his nails a bit too short and there was a little blood. And Fluffy Puppy has been so mindful of that and Goji never had this problem with them. This morning, I took Goji for his first bath, ear cleaning, etc with them and I'm SO HAPPY that I did! Christina handled him so well and said he was a good boy! I was shocked. He came out looking fresh, smelling good, happy, along with a cute Fluffy Puppy dog bandana. It's so hard for me to trust anyone with Goji, but Fluffy Puppy has proved themselves time and again that they are so careful and good at what they do! Thanks to all!

He asked exactly what I wanted and what to avoid, and he made my dog feel really relaxed, which is the most important thing when picking a groomer. You can tell Ramiro really loves his job and animals. My puppy came home happy, looking great, and I could tell he felt at home there too. Dude almost died when we had to remove all his teeth. When we adopted him and his partner, they were super neglected advance case rescues--and this little guy has bad lungs, liver, pancreas, and personality (IYKYK these little jerks). In 2025, after we took out the poor guy's remaining teeth, his pancreas started failing post-op. It took us about 6 months to get him back to health. In that time, he lost a ton of weight and most of his hair. His butt was actually bald! Then, miraculously, or through pure yorkie dark side terrier magic, he actually got MORE healthy with MORE hair...but different hair, and different texture, and even different colors! It is wild. Today, we took him in for his first groom since being on the verge of death, and the little guy looks like a puppy again. He clearly feels great with the last few months of bulk coming off. In any case, this is THE best spot for getting your dog groomed if you need to know that they will be treated right. I am so worried 24/7 about this little fragile dude, and Roch and Gertrude is the only place I leave him besides the vet where I cannot keep eyes on him.

My wife came across R&G when looking for dog groomers and we've been coming back to R&G regularly since 2019. Later, in 2021 we rescued another little senior dog named Mimi. She had a bit more sass than Max and unfortunately her last owners hadn't done the best job caring for her coat. R&G treated her with so much love and respect that they were able to give her a bath and give her a great looking trim that we almost didn't recognize her. She looked like a refreshed dog. Unfortunately, Mimi passed in 2023 but R&G was also caring enough to be there for us as we navigated that loss. To this day we continue to recommend R&G to anyone looking for a dog groomer because they will treat their pets like the family they are. Even though we moved 40+ minutes away from Pasadena, we still make the drive to come here because they are worth it. Leanne, Elizabeth, Jasmine, and the team are caring to both our dogs and to us and we will continue to come to R&G for our dog grooming needs.

i want to preface this by saying i am a nervous wreck whenever i leave my dogs with anyone besides…read morefriends and family, so finding sitters / boarding we trust has been an ongoing struggle, especially for two dogs. my babies rosie and hank have been going here for the last few years, and we've really come to love and trust this place. hank is a super friendly goofball who always acclimates to groups easily, but rosie is a little nervous gal so she takes a bit to warm up to the group. sometimes i'll watch her on the doggy cam and she'll just be sitting in a corner watching everyone play. but after a few days, i've watched her get used to her new dog friends and even start playing! i don't think that would be possible without the owners and staff creating a caring and warm environment for them. also once i checked the cameras and i saw someone sitting on the floor while all the dogs piled onto them and it was the funniest / sweetest thing i've ever seen. a massive cuddle pile full of happy dogs with wagging tails. they won my trust completely after that. thank you for creating such a wonderful environment where both animals and their owners feel safe and cared for. it's a rarity in this world!

They have smalls here if you want to see if youre kitty would eat this. I have 1 super picky kitty and the other that just loves it. Havent notice a difference yet but just started so hopefully itll be good. The cat treats we bought were on sale since they were in stock for the christmas season. They have dog grooming services and a variety of dog and cat goods that you might not be able to find at petco or petsmart.

They take their time with both our dogs and we are always happy with how they look and smell afterwards. I was using healthy spot for 16 years with a previous pup in marina del rey and was always extremely pleased with the grooming staff. Now I moved and have two dogs and bring them to Pasadena location. They are not cheap but to me it's worth the price because I know my pups are well taken care of. One of my dogs actually pulls me into the store when he gets there so you know he has had good experiences there.

I have few friends that do own dogs and cats. One of my friends wanted to go check out this place and see if she could adopt a cat and replace the cat that she had that passed away 6 months ago. She couldn't wrap her head around the devastation of losing her cat Katy. With that being said, she asked me to go with her to this animal shelter and see if she could adopt a new cat. I agreed and went there like 2 weeks ago. There was this one cat that she instantly fell in love with, did all the paperwork with their staff, got all the information pertaining to the vaccines, immunizations, medications, & vet information. All the employees were caring, nice professional and helpful. The shelter was nice and clean. Established in 1903. They also do dog training, have pet supply store, animal control, workshops & kids programs. She had tears of joy in her eyes after adopting her new cat and named her after her late cat. For me, all this was new. Who knows, maybe one day I will adopt a cat and give it to my mama and she will get used to the animal.. hours of operation are 9:30am-5:30pm. Seven days a week. We parked outside and don't know if they have parking or not. The entire process was quick, fast, effortless, and seamless. Good luck to my friend & to her new cat!! I can't even begin to express how callous and uncompassionate our experience with the person at the…read moreentrance to the Animal Resource Center was. Ironically one of the most inhumane experiences we have ever had. When someone carries in a completely limp and unresponsive dog, desperately asking for help, it is WAY the wrong response to act annoyed and try to get rid of them without any assistance. My Labrador just collapsed, lost all bodily autonomy, soiled herself and had gone completely white. I ran down the street carrying her to the nearest place that I thought could help, which was the Pasadena Humane Society. The 2 young ladies at the Shelter Shop directed me to the Animal Resource Center. I'm sweating bullets and my body is giving out from carrying my poor limp dog a considerable distance, when I finally arrive at the Animal Resource Center. I ask the girl at the entrance for help and she just tells me that they don't treat pets and I need to take my dog somewhere else. I frantically ask where and she gets visibly annoyed at me when she can't provide more information. Eventually a young man comes out and explains that I would need to surrender my dog in order to have them treat her, at which point she becomes the Humane Society's property and I have no claim or access to her condition or whereabouts. He tells me that Access is the nearest emergency pet hospital that can treat her. At that point a woman (possibly a vet) steps in and directs us to VCA on Arroyo Parkway because it seems like my dog may not survive the trip to Access. She was empathetic and wished us luck as we headed off. While I am thankful for those who eventually stepped in and offered helpful advice, I am still in shock at the callous and annoyed initial response I got from the girl at the Animal Resource Center entrance, in that desperate moment as I held my lifeless baby in my arms. I don't care how bad your day was or how much you don't care about your job, you do not get annoyed with someone who is desperately clutching their lifeless baby's body right in front of you. I get it, Pasadena Humane is a non-profit and not a free veterinary hospital. I also understand that many of the staff are not paid enough to care or they may very well be volunteers. But please do a better job of training your people, especially if they are the first point of contact with the public. Give them a list of alternative facilities or instruct them to reach out to someone who can and wants to help, it could mean the difference between life and death.

I cannot recommend ANYONE go here as long as these two people are here. Dr. Zieve needs to take "small mammals" off her list of creatures she treats. She knew absolutely nothing about hamsters and yet pretended she knew more than me and even argued with me about what I knew to be true. We came in after my Syrian hamster hadn't come out of his burrow for two days. We got an emergency appointment for $230 and they for some god forsaken reason assigned Dr. Zieve and her team to my case. My first immediate red flags that I wish I listened to were that after examining him she came in talking about the two spots on his sides telling me how she thought they were cancerous masses and wanted us to test them for a couple hundred dollars. WHEN IS CANCER EVER SYMMETRICAL?? I then proceeded to tell her that those were his SCENT GLANDS and she ARGUED with me saying that no his scent glands were in a different spot. IT TAKES ONE QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL SYRIAN HAMSTER SCENT GLANDS. After that she also said she was concerned that he had a heart problem because she heard clicking. He MAKES those sounds whenever he's handled because he is VOCALIZING his ANNOYANCE. I knew that the clicking she heard was probably just that so once again we did not pay $425 for an X-ray of his heart. The next thing she said was that he had discharge coming from his penis. I never saw any discharge there, but we thought maybe she looked in deeper and we agreed to put him on antibiotics and painkillers, as well as start syringe feeding him. They also gave him an IV for $75. He was struggling with his feedings and looked like he was in pain after. We brought him in for his check up and told them everything that was going on and they told us to increase his feeding. Even though I had told them it was hurting his stomach. They also still wanted to biopsy his "cancerous masses" we told them to please look at his penis again to check if the antibiotics were even doing anything and they didn't bother, they just gave us a new painkiller that wouldn't bother his stomach as much as they thought that was why he was having pain even though he was still showing these signs after we stopped giving him the painkiller. He continued to lose weight and we found a lump on his face after he had lost a significant amount of hair and thought we finally found the cause. We scheduled an appointment, this time with Dr. Kanfer as we found from their virus of a website (by the way their website acts as a virus, don't open it. we managed to get information about the doctors out of it through breaking down the code for it) that she was the only one specialized in rodents and abscesses. Dr. Kanfer could immediately tell what was going on. I felt like he was FINALLY looked at properly. But it was too late. Dr. Kanfer didn't want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests like Dr. Zieve did which I was grateful for. We did an ultrasound for $105 and they found a tumor but he started gasping for air and they put him on oxygen. He passed after an hour. After grieving him for awhile the nurse with the Spanish accent came in and left the door wide open. We asked for paw prints to be taken and she picked him up like he was some object and used way too much force on his paws, it looked like she was crushing him and the prints didn't even come out good. She then put him in his "coffin" (as the very nice receptionist called it) and shoved it to us like it was some package, saying "here's your box". Very cold and matter of factly. She lacked so much empathy and professionalism that is required of this job she should honestly be fired. Thank you Dr. Kanfer and the team that helped on the last day. F everyone else. The one star is for Dr. Kanfer who I would give five to.

I found Fine Feathered Friends on Facebook. Our 9 year old cockatiel was in need of a friend…read more Rather than purchase from a breeder or off a big-box store, my family wanted to adopt. We adopted our two other birds from local fosters and non-profits. After texting the number of the organization, I was immediately in touch with Marie, sweetest person-ever! We coordinated a date and time to come by and see the available cockatiels ready for adoption. I brought my partner and daughter along. As we got a review of the birds, Marie's hyacinth macaw Howard came over to greet us. Such a handsome, boy! We landed in adopting out a young male cockatiel (likely to be 1 year old due to the pearls still visible in his feathers) named "Patrick". He'd been saved from the elements, rescued after being dropped from the sky by a crow. Marie helped get him back in tip top shape, provided me the labs for his current health state (healthy!) and his DNA sexed paperwork. I appreciated the level of care and service Marie provided. She was professional, detailed, and super accommodating. I really loved her level of attention to understanding each and every bird's quirks, preferences, and history. Before we left, Marie provided a bit of food, snacks, and helped us pick a few perches and toys that "Patrick" would be happy with from his current cage. I was very grateful to be able to donate towards the foundation through Venmo. They also do cash or check, or Zelle. The feel the contribution/donation fee is minuscule compared to the value you give back to new member(s) of your flock. I understand only time will heal him from the trauma of his ordeal. We hope the love, care, and patience, our family can provide him with the right environment to help him heal at his own pace. If you're ever looking to adopt a bird in need, look no further than Fine Feathered Friends. Marie is wonderful and so dedicated, and it shows!

Sometimes the people here can come across as a bit much, or a little aggressive in how they…read moreapproach or tell you things. Overall though, this is one of my favorite cat cafes in SoCal. It's only $20 to get in, which is a lot more reasonable than some other places in the area that charge $60 for just 30 minutes to an hour. With that being said, it's nothing fancy inside. The space is pretty basic, but they do have a good amount of cats. Just keep in mind that if you stop by later in the afternoon, some of them might be tired from socializing all day. They also offer a $100 monthly membership if you want to come in as often as you'd like. They don't really have a café setup like some other cat cafes do, which is fine, but something to keep in mind if that's what you're looking for. One thing I do like is that they host a lot of cat adoption events.. so that's nice. Worth a visit for sure.
