Clean new store located at the Marketplace at El Paseo just off Herndon and 99. The store has a more limited drink menu compared to other boba places-which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I was unable to try any of their food items this time but ordered a few drinks like the strawberry matcha and coffee. The drink flavors themselves were good, but we were thrown off by the texture of the boba. The boba is made in store and you can catch them making it sometimes, so I may not be used to it. The texture wasn't as chewy as others and more so broke apart in the mouth. The staff were getting a bit confused with drink orders and didn't call our names so people that ordered after us accidentally took our drinks. I do not know what the fuss is about. Me and my family came in on a Friday afternoon. Just us and two other customers. We ordered 5)4 tropical passion fruit iced tea, honeydew blended fruit freeze, strawberry fruit freeze, mint mojito milk tea and the popcorn chicken. Literally almost all our drinks were tasteless. Only the passion fruit tea had a flavor but it was shampoo flavor, no hint of passion fruit at all. The popcorn chicken did not taste good either. Popped in because I was in the area and ordered a mytea signature and it was, in the nicest way possible, the worst milk tea I've ever had in my life. The drink was watery and the boba was undercooked. I ended up going back and getting a refund because it was so bad. If you're looking for milk tea, I'm pretty sure there's another milk tea shop in the parking lot that's much better. Hmmm...this boba shop opened nearby a rare tea. Honestly speaking, it's really lacking. I am a boba lover. I used to go almost everyday so hearing about this new establishment, I wanted to try. I dropped by after work and ordered the signature milk tea and the ca the sua da along with popcorn chicken. Menu was okay but options weren't too limited. Besides, I wasn't expecting much. The signature milk tea is like boba milk tea but except without the boba. If you want boba added, there is an additional charge. The tea itself was water down. It's really lacking tea flavor and the richness taste. The ca phe was okay. It was somewhat lacking. The taste was not what Vietnamese coffee tastes like. The popcorn chicken was quite disappointing. I love popcorn chicken but for a $9.50 snack, it was over fried and the portion was quite small. I understand there's inflation going on but the portion did not justify the price. Only been open a few weeks so update to the review is likely later down the line. At this point things are still way too disorganized. Tickets left everywhere due to being so behind but no semblance of a system to get back on track or stay organized and no appearance of any urgency in the slightest from the staff. Nice ambience and interior but every seat filled with a patron still awaiting their drink and growing more impatient with the wait. Staff and patrons alike would benefit from a label on the finished drinks, as there was much confusion every time a new order came out (each customer checking in every time to see if it was theirs or if customizations had been implemented as ordered). With an open prep area, occasional hand rinsing would also go a long way. Finally made it out with our order (2 drinks and an order of chicken) 55 minutes later. Chicken had decent crispiness but not as much flavor as Quickly. Boba itself was nice and bouncy. I appreciated the irregularities in shape as this just reinforced that they were not prepackaged and rehydrated. Fresh taro ube was alright. I decided to give this place a try even though there was a lot of negative reviews. My experience was great! I got my drinks in 5 minutes. I got the Taro and Mango Fruit Freezes and I liked them. Boba was nice and chewy. The drinks have a good amount of sweetness. The cashier I had was very friendly and patient with me. She was ready to answer any questions I had such as adjusting the sweetness, which they did for the taro boba to 25%. The place is very nice and clean. The couches are comfortable and board games are there if anyone wants to just chill and hang out here. My cousins and I were so excited to try this new boba spot since they make it in house. We haven't seen each other in months. We were left extremely disappointed with the service and product. The boba was not bad, but the royal milk tea was pretty much tasteless and extremely watered down. The crème brûlée milk tea was also disappointing. It tasted as if it was all milk with a slight essence of caramel flavoring. We also ordered the popcorn chicken and it was over 10 dollars for what appears to be the scraps in the bottom of the frozen chicken nugget bags fried in oil that is weeks old. Also the girl working inside was not friendly and lacked critical thinking skills. We took a few sips of the drinks, threw them away, then went to a different boba spot afterwards. Visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. Not a soul in the place. Walked in and there was one girl working in the back. She saw me and I could see her but she couldn't even bother to greet me. No hello, nothing. Finally after about 2 minutes of her stirring something and not saying anything. No, "I'll be right with you", nothing. She walks up to the register and just stands there. I figured I would say something as she seemed mute. I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea. I asked if it came with boba and she said she could add it which I assume was an up charge because my drink came out to a whopping $8! And then the screen has the audacity to ask me for a tip. Here's a tip! Teach your employees to greet patrons when they walk in the door and maybe teach them how to ask patrons what they would like to order. Needless to say I was super excited about a crème brûlée milk tea as I had never seen that any where before. One sip and all I can say is, where's the sweetness? It's literally just tea and milk. I'm not all for overly sweet drinks but I would've liked a hint of sweetness. The place was cute but very sterile, not too inviting and lacked anything that stood out. Needless to say I won't be back. There are way too many milk tea places in this town for subpar milk tea places like this to survive. read more
