We ordered thai tea, beef pho, and chicken pad see eww and it was delicious. The pho was a rich beef broth, very hot temp wise and pretty filling. I've been eyeballing this place since it's right next door to another Thai restaurant which I found a bit interesting. However they are more carry out and fast casual focused. Since it was a late dinner for us I wanted to give this place a try. I placed and order over the phone and asked if they had any GF options since hubby has celiac. They ensured me that the pad Thai, and green curry were both GF. I also got a small cup of the Tom Yum soup. I was actually happy they had the small option because most places I've been to only have one size and it's always large and around $15 or more. My total was $37 for these 3 things which I felt was very fair for Summerville. Pad Thai - 4/5 this one was on the sweeter side with some nice acidity. The noodles were just slighter cooked too much for me as I prefer it a bit more al dente. But they did a good job caramelizing the noodles and the chicken was tender. I found the flavor to be pleasant especially for being gluten free. Green curry- 4/5 flavors were there but I just needed a bit more depth and texture. It felt lighter but not in a bad way, still enjoyed it and the veggies were cooked well. Tom Yum - 4/5 I do enjoy this soup with a bit more tanginess. It did have a lighter taste and didn't have that potent tum yum flavor I was looking for so I added a squeeze of lime to it. Still a beautiful soup and enjoyed that. The owner was very nice and told me everything is made fresh which I appreciated. It's a small place but very cute and quaint. I wanted to love this placed based on the "fresh & healthy" menu, but it definitely was not that. The Tom yum soup tasted like dirty dish water, had no spice or tang the way it's suppose to. The coloring was that of brown/ grey water (no red from chilies) The pad Thai was very oily and had no flavor or vegetables. The pork buns were the only edible dish because it was slathered in sweet hoisen sauce. The whole takeout was a rip off at $40 and most went into the garbage. I don't understand how a resturant can be open 2 days a week and claim they serve fresh food, it's impossible and this takeout proved it. They should just close their doors completely. Here I am again...as I stated previously I would return. I have. As others have commented on the hours, yes the timing can be off for sure. But I have been sticking with Sunday's around 2pm and I have not been disappointed yet. Not sure if your time schedule will allow you to go at that time but it does work for me. I ordered My Thai to go and was very pleased with the food. I ordered a Taro Boba, My Thai Rolls, and the Fried Rice with Wings plate. I was skeptical about the Boba when I first saw it because it looked like straight milk with the faintish lavender tint at the bottom. I swirled it to mix it all up and expected it to be bland. My mind was absolutely blown at how flavorful the taro actually was!! It may be the best Taro flavoring I've had out of the many many bobas I've had over the last decade. I will be back for that alone. The My Thai rolls were absolutely delicious as well. They were cooked to perfection and not stuffed with "fluff" they were packed nicely with everything not skimping on anything. The two dipping sauces were of course a wonderful and tasty touch. Literally the worst Thai food I have ever ordered. The taste was not right on anything, most of the food was soggy, half of my $100 order wasn't even made correctly, food was missing, they charge $9 for 4 soggy pure onion "crab" rangoons, and their customer service was even worse. I called to have the order fixed instead of complaining about it or even leaving a bad review but when I talked to them the man was sooooo extremely rude and said they did nothing wrong and they were not going to fix anything and hung up on me. This place is such an undiscovered little gem. We had the Pad Thai, red curry, a tofu dish, spring rolls and boba. It was delicious. Would recommend going above mild spice on the Pad Thai for sure! I have been looking for honeydew boba since moving from California. (No one has this flavor around here) but they did! It was amazing!! The only thing I would say is the actual boba pearls weren't that great, a little hard. I hope this place blows up more. They were fast and had good customer service.
