    Pad Thai Chicken
    Justin J.

Stopped in last night, one of those weird times where you had a small meal earlier in the day and you aren't really hungry but you know if you don't eat something you will be starving by bedtime. Pooped in at 8:30 and saw they were closing at 9, ordered a pad Thai chicken and it came out super fast. Server was friendly too. Inside feels a lot nicer than you expect for the price point. I offered my food Thai hot, and I have mostly stopped eating hot foods like I used to. It was really perfect, hot Thai is the best because it doesn't make your mouth feel horrible, but I was pouring sweat and tears and felt my sinus draining, and it was fantastic. Nice big generous serving too. Speaking of feeling good, walking out the door with an entire second meal in a box and total bill under $20 including a good tip felt amazing. Nice to see a place delivering a good value on food. Glad I stopped in! J.Ja

A fantastic new southeast Asian restaurant offering dishes from Laos, Viet Nam, and Thailand. Currie puffs were delicious, soft inside, crisp but not over fried on the outside. I also got the basil rice rolls, easy and delicious, very crunchy and flavorful with a yummy peanut sauce. And the cashew, with tofu was also very tasty with a delicious brown sauce, plenty of veggies and flavor, not too heavy with oil too.

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me. So rich and full of Umami Ribeye We finished the meal off with a plate of Beef Yaki-Udon. The depth of flavor was incredible and again the Umami took center stage. Interesting fact: They have been at this location for 31 years opening first as an Italian restaurant! Myles has been in Charleston for 40 years and is an icon in the Food and Bev industry. She was most recently recognized by Congress for her impact on the Charleston food scene. We were greeted with a smile and left with a hug. I was greeted instantly by the hostess and she answered my questions regarding the menu. Also, any question she didn't know the answer to, she quickly sought out an answer. (I appreciate that!!) As I waited on my to go order, I sat inside to take in the decor and loved the eclectic vibe and the marrying of cultures. My food was delicious and still piping hot after I made a stop before returning home.

I was actually pretty excited about this place because I was craving Thai food. I saw the pictures and it looked legit. I ordered the Panang curry thinking it was a safe choice... This is for to-go and I was so excited to get to my hotel and eat it (8 min drive). When I got back- I was alittle disappointed that it wasn't in a more bowl-like or cup container. It also looked a bit different than other pics of Panang curry I saw on yelp- it wasn't as soupy or saucy as I had hoped. - minor annoyance was that they also didn't have brown rice. But Understandable since br rice isn't really Thai. - Another minor thing was I requested a 7/10 on spice level... I know spice is really subjective but this thing tasted more like a 1 or 2. I saw on the reciept the cashier got the order right... It also seemed wierd that I was asked if I wanted utensils... I would think for any to-go it'd be standard. I don't know if I would come back here... I saw another Thai/Lao or Filipino place down the street that I probably should have went to. That one was questionable because it looked like they had too much on their menu...
