Heitman, Hack and Williams for complex eye problems. And in every case, at every visit, I have been struck by their kindness, compassion and their extraordinary professionalism. All the staff have treated me with that same consideration. I have friends who have gone there for years--and all say the same about their doctors and their experience. During my last visit, I mentioned to Dr Williams that I had recently told a friend that if I ever need us spirit lift, all I'd have to do is stop in Southern Eye! Note: I wrote this second review because Yelp had said the first one wasn't posted for some technical reason.

She walked out after 3 minutes. 10 minutes later Dr Cole came in to tell me, he was cancelling the appt and I could reschedule when someone can watch my dog. I said, I am not coming back. They tried charging me. I called my insurance to tell them not to pay, Dr Cole cancelled the appt after he slept in. I went to the front desk several times during the hour and half and none of them could tell me why I was still waiting. Went to Jervey Eye Group and had the greatest experience.

They went above and beyond to accommodate my appointment times to fit my busy schedule. During my pre-op and post-op appointment, I was seen by Dr. Brown who was also very knowledgeable and took his time! I saw Dr. Sawyer for my 1 week follow-up. I experienced quite a bit of dryness in my eyes after the lasik (it's normal!) and he gave me some drops that nipped it in the bud! I enjoyed the experience and would do it all over again if I had too! From the check-in desk, exam room, to the surgery room, .... they care! Trust them. Thank you, Clemson Eye! I am one blessed and happy patient!

The right PD and the last PD were absent from my prescription. I went to several places both online and in person and was told that my prescription called for PDs for both eyes. I tried to call them back but never was able to get anyone on the phone. I was also told that they don't take either of my insurance plans even though I was told on the phone to setup an appointment that they definitely accept both my dual plan. I can't stand a liar but I hate a liar who thinks I am stupid! I doubt the entire exam. Will not be going back

Which is fine if it weren't a morning appt. So the timing was wrong with him having to go back to school and having to look at a computer for school work. On top of that they had glad plug-ins EVERYWHERE. There were 2 within 10 ft of each other immediately entering the lobby and I saw 2 more as we left the lobby to start the exam. I'm blown away that a doctor's office would condone artificial air fresheners. They were SO strong that we chose to stand outside until we got called back. It's been 2 hours since our appt and my throat and glands are still swollen. What in their building are they trying to hide and cover up? End result- we scheduled an appt with a different practice and won't be returning here.

There is never any parking and no seats to wait in the lobby. Are you kidding me?! How about quality care over quantity. You are a number here. You never see the same Dr so you can't build a rapport. We were assured that the dr. would look closely at her findings and get his vision straightened out today. We went into the exam room and the doctor appeared in about four minutes to bluntly announce:"You're not supposed to be here today. I just saw you last month. You're not due back until June." I told him we'd received a reminder call this past week for this appointment. He defended that it was an appointment that had been made just after the surgery but that because he'd seen him last month, this one should have been cancelled. He walked to the desk to tell his clerks that the appointment should have been cancelled. NO APOLOGY FROM ANYONE! NONE! So a waste of an entire morning; an unnecessary dilation; and no one here seemed to be concerned. In fact, it was almost as if WE had flubbed because we showed up for a scheduled appointment! Plus the doctor said perhaps it was because we misunderstood his nurse's British accent. Say what? She wasn't the automated call to remind us of this date and appointment time. Not impressed at all. Cold and unfriendly. A second opinion may be in our future

You get what you expect from a traditional vision office: no fluff or frills, but decent service. What I will say, is that whenever I need an eye exam in a pinch, they are the only office to squeeze in an opening. The optometrist, Dr. Collins, takes time to explain eye health and answers any questions regarding eye health as it relates to family medical history. They're located conveniently off Woodruff Rd with multiple ways to get there. They accept most vision insurance plans. They are a hard working team.

Raise your hand if you scheduled your annual contact lens prescription exam and was seen by a…read moredifferent optometrist after being advised that your optometrist was "unavailable," and instead of a contact lens exam, this optometrist briefly checked your eyes, said she was "checking for dryness," as if it were clinically indicated, and proceeded to instill fluorescein sodium dye (yellow dye) in the form of liquid eyedrops described as dye only, without disclosing the anesthetic benoxinate hydrochloride that eliminated your ability to feel pain. Raise your hand if an undisclosed procedure was then performed where the doctor used four fingers to press up along the socket of your lower lids and down along the socket of your upper lids with enough force to make the globe of your eyes protrude forward while you were rendered incapable of registering pain or understanding that the technique and force were clinically damaging. Raise your hand if the provider later denied using fluorescein drops, and falsely claimed that she used fluorescein strips and you later learned that this claim was made not only hide the use of an undisclosed and unauthorized anesthetic, but to hide the dilation that occurred despite your refusal. Raise your hand if the same specialist examined your eyes with white, prolonged green, and blue lights, and immediately after the visit you developed severe light sensitivity, followed by worsening dry, achy, gritty eyes with blurred vision, tearing, contact‑lens intolerance, discomfort, eye fatigue, and delayed accommodative and motion‑tracking response, and when you called the practice, you were told the physician said the dye was "mostly water" and not causal--omitting the procedures she performed that are now retrospectively being labeled as routine. Raise your hand if you later learned the green light was used to examine the back of your eyes--something you'd declined, opting specifically for a limited scope exam--yet it was placed near‑last to conceal exam scope and added ocular harm. Raise your hand if your original optometrist said a nondilated retinal exam was "really, really super tough," then reversed course to praise the specialist once records showed she viewed your retina, as if you were unable to grasp the inconsistency. Raise your hand if you now live with chronic dry, achy eyes; light and weather sensitivity; eye fatigue; limited contact‑lens tolerance; blurred vision despite correction; and difficulty tracking motion--symptoms that have significantly disrupted your quality of life, work, and nursing program. Raise your hand if your medical record was falsified immediately after the exam to frame symptoms that occurred thereafter as pre‑existing, and McGregor and Associates colluded with another practice to reframe your medical history and diagnosis, blocking timely, relevant treatment by other providers, and instead scheduling their own follow-up to begin a pathway to treatment with them for symptoms that they themselves deliberately caused. Raise your hand if McGregor and Associates refused to release audit trails that would prove record tampering, and violated HIPAA by failing to provide a lawful amendment response to requests made almost a year ago. Raise your hand if you're still fighting for full accountability. On October 21, 2025, I entered McGregor and Associates with healthy eyes and left with damaged eyes and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, an irreversible and progressive ocular disease--harm that was done deliberately with undisclosed anesthesia and undisclosed procedures performed outside of the standard of care. The full scale of harm is ongoing. McGregor and Associates are callous, complicit, and unscrupulous wastes of white coats, and a disgrace and danger to the profession of optometry. I refuse to address them as doctors, and I'm going to do my best to ensure they don't ever harm another patient again, and to ensure that those audit trails and my experience are both seen and heard.
