Wow. I don't know how to thank Wally enough at Myers Park Tailor. I have been getting suits tailored from him for the past few years. Unfortunately I listened to recommendations to get a custom tuxedo from Bruce Julian for my wedding day.. after many refits and lost confidence, I just took things to Wally. Unfortunately I had to make the decision to insist on a refund from Bruce Julian. The passion Wally has for what he does, the quality they provide, the attention to detail is unmatched in fit and clothing. Luckily we were able to order a stock tuxedo and Wally was able to get a perfect fit before our wedding a week away. I can't thank him enough and forever will be getting all of my clothes fit through him at his business and more importantly all of my custom suits and/or tuxedos through him in Charlotte. This is a really great tailor! He is so honest and really will do what is best for items I have a formal gown that I bought to wear to a wedding. A few weeks before the wedding I put the dress on and thought it looked a little tight over my butt. The zipper was riding up in the back and it looked terrible. When I brought it in he took a look at he said there wasn't enough fabric in the seams to let it out. He ask me to try it on to see if there was a tuning he could do. After looking at it on he said that it looked like the dress was effective that the lining was longer than the overlay and that what was making it bunch. I really appreciated his honesty when he told me that if he did anything to it it would probably look worse i have now ordered another dress and hopefully this one will be right. Instead of saying he could fix it and charging me what I am sure would have been a pretty penny he was honest and that is a sign of an honest tailor! Would give 10 stars if I could!!!! I have been a customer for years and have always been pleased, however Kimara performed an absolute MIRACLE for me the day before my birthday and quite literally SAVED my rear end! I ordered a dress off Revolve, it was delivered Thursday evening, my birthday party was Saturday night. I called Friday morning as the material of the dress in the back was not lined and was too thin to wear anything underneath. I was panicking because I tried everything possible - Spanx, Commando, a slip, nothing worked since the top 1/2 of the back of the dress was out. I showed up at Myers Park Tailors around 3:00PM on Friday, we discussed some *magic* to try and line the dress, and by 5:00PM THE SAME DAY it was ready and perfect. I couldn't believe they not only pulled off sewing in a "makeshift" shapewear slip, but within 2 hours. Mind blown. My dress was an absolute hit, I felt comfortable and was so so thankful for Kimara and the MPT team saving the day!! read more

This may be an unconventional review as it isn't about their tailoring, but maybe my perspective can help someone make a decision about doing business with them. I took my wedding dress in because the bustline wasn't fitting well; after a friendly greeting and a look at my dress, they told me they could do the alterations but they would be quite expensive. They gave me a few ideas for ways I could adjust the fit myself (all of which were free or really inexpensive). I tried their suggestions and the dress fits beautifully, and I was able to save the precious cash for other wedding expenses. So I wrote this comment because I strongly feel that a business owner who will honestly advise a customer regardless of the money they make from them (or lack thereof) is worthy of endorsing. Trust and integrity go a long way - the next time I do need to pay for alterations, I'll happily give them my money. read more

I got my dress and I couldn't fit it and they wouldn't exchange it or give me my money back ...I was crying and I got into my truck n drove around and was praying to god please guide me in the right direction and as I was driving and came up to a light I put my head down and god pick it back up and gave me the light and turn my head and I saw myers tailors . I went into there and told them what was going on and they took to the back and told me to try on the dress and they was absolutely nice and very concerned. the lady said I can fix it. I had to get 4 inches taking out do u hear me taking out not taking in and they jump right on it and it didn't take long to get done with my wedding dress. I never thought I would have strong opinions on a tailor, but this place is absolutely phenomenal. I can not say enough good things about the service and quality of work. I have taken about five dresses here and every time whether the alterations are big or small (The Hemning's trimmed, the strap suggested, or the back taken in) the quality and consistency of the work is top-notch. It's a family owned business and the family could not be any sweeter. They make you feel welcome and most importantly, comfortable and the garments you're wearing. Communication is clear consistent and friendly. They discuss all options regarding your garments, and even offer rush processing if available (which has saved my butt more than once lol). 10/10 if you need any alterations, Myers Park Tailor is the best place to go! read more

My wardrobe is complex: sequins, fuschia, and velvet. Myer's Park Tailor rose to meet the challenge of getting my pants hemmed so that I can wear heels or flats as well as adjusted the waistband since I've lost weight. They took their time, were precise and professional. My items were completed before the initial return date which was exciting. If an item is not to your liking, they gladly accommodate for an outcome that makes you happy. Overall, highly recommend as I can now wear three of my most favorite and beautiful suits with pants and jacket again! Also, I did notice they do custom fit satin shirts and button ups for women. I have difficulty wearing off the rack jackets secondary to my shoulders. In the past, made to measure suits have taken two or three fittings after being made, to fit properly I recently had a top coat made here. I went in for my first fitting and was amazed it fit perfectly. I mentioned to Walid that it usually takes a few fitting to get the garment right due to my anatomy. He said. "I know, I had to change the pattern six times before I got it right". Six Times!!!!!! He had been able to construct it from his measurements, experience as a fitter/ tailor and memory to make it perfect His skill at his craft and attention to detail are unseen in today's mass production. Myers Park tailors saved me $200! I had initially taken two brand new pairs of jeans to a local establishment to have them hemmed/altered, and they took my (cool) jeans and made the hems look like an old lady's... ruined my jeans! I was told there was no way to make the hem of the jeans look original. Before I threw them out, I found Myers Park Tailors on the Internet, and took the jeans in to see if there was any way of making them look, at least, wearable.The owner was so sympathetic and knowledgeable about how to fix my horribly hemmed jeans. I picked them up today, & I swear, I cried. They look like I just got them from the mall. this was just in time for my birthday. What a great gift! I received my suit on a Tuesday I was wearing for a wedding that Saturday that when I put it on needed tailoring. I googled tailors in Charlotte and saw the proximity as well as reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot! The staff was friendly and you could tell there were regulars in there. Tony took my measurements and was very knowledgeable about what he was talking about which was very important when it came to validating my decision. He said they would get it done when I needed it by and it actually was ready a day earlier! I tried it on and it fit perfectly! I highly recc this place! I've brought two bridesmaid dresses here, as well as my own wedding dress and have had amazing experiences each time. Every staff member is so kind, welcoming and helpful, and they really work hard to make sure your vision comes to life. I took my wedding dress to Myers Park Tailors for alterations. Kimara worked on my dress and did a perfect job! My dress needed to be hemmed, needed a bustle, and also needed the straps shortened. My straps were very intricate and they were shortened perfectly! I also received a beautiful 7-point bustle on my large and intricate train which gives me alllll of the Bridgerton vibes. Everyone who works there is helpful, kind, and accommodating. Walid made sure that before I left with my dress I was 100% happy and that I was fully aware of how to fluff my dress. I was in the upscale men's clothing business for over 40 years and owned men's stores in Charlotte. Operating the best men's store meant having the best tailors and over the years I had many. In most cases they were master tailors who had undergone lengthy apprenticeships to become the best at their craft. While all were exceptional craftsmen some were prima donnas. Wally (he is now americanized) is truly a master tailor and is certainly no prima donna. Not only are his tailoring skills superb his PR skills are equally as good. I always told my customers "the value of anything is not what it costs, but what it is worth" and that certainly applies with tailoring and Wally is a prime example. read more
