We arrived on time and they already had our insurance information so we checked in within five minutes. We waited for less than 10 minutes and the doctor came and took the patient in for the eye exam which was quick and painless. They were pushing hard to get a contact lens exam done for approximately $150 which we passed on for the time being. Checkout took longer as we had to wait for somebody to check us out. Me and my daughter have been going to another location of this practice just so we can been seen by Dr. Heather Burton, she moved from the Sterling location and we were not sure where she works and started seeing another doctor somewhere else and were not happy at all. It was until one day I found out Dr. Burton works at the One Loudoun location and we immediately booked our appointment. We were blown away by how great they treated us. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the nicest lady name Shivani. She did our eye checkup, eye pressure check and everything else. She had a beautiful smile the entire time and was very kind and patient to me and my kid. We then were seen by the greatest doctor, Dr. Burton who went over all the steps, made us feel very welcome and answered all of our questions. She made great recommendations on which type of glasses I should be using, listing the advantages for each and we never felt rushed or anything. Then it was time to pick our frames and lenses. A very nice gentleman name Mr. Ben Nazeri came and assisted us. I have always had a hard time fitting for glasses and no one in any of the offices I had visited before knew why until Ben recommended me to select frames with a nose pad and voila! The frames fit so nicely. I could not see very well even if I had my glasses on and he recommended a special kind of eye drop brand which was so helpful that I can for the first time in my life see very clearly and no more eye itchiness. He spent over an hour showing different type of glasses to me and my daughter and made sure we are happy with everything. You can tell he is very proud of what he does, and very knowledgable too. We also were helped by the nicest lady name Sara and she went over our bill and payment and assisted with everything. This place is the Disney of all the eye doctors in the area. I have been going here for 3 years and I have always liked it. I just went back in April when my vision went a little blurry and I went to see them. The staff is very nice and caring. Their service is quick and professional. Dr. Azizaladin is amazing. I really think she is one of the best eye doctors I have ever met. She is caring and very attentive. She listened to my issues from a car accident where a neuro ophthalmologist missed what she saw which was in line with the vision therapist. She gave me a very clear explanation and also offered a follow up to see if my eye sight is improving. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone. read more

Coming here to share my experience in hopes that MAYBE someone at MyEyeDoctor will actually respond. I had an eye exam in October, ordered new glasses. Received the glasses and the prescription was wrong. Sent them to be corrected. Received them again and they were wrong. I was blamed for not picking a frame that optimizes my progressive prescription. So I ordered new frames and lenses that would hopefully better optimize my prescription. Those were ordered 12/26. Have not received them. No one can tell me when I will receive them. Most of the time, I can't even get through to the store. I have left messages at the store and have sent messages through the "Contact Us" button on the website. No reply. Finally got through today and was placed on hold for 33 minutes. When she finally came back, she essentially said she didn't know when they would be in, maybe a couple more weeks. Unacceptable! read more

MyEyeDr 44727 Brimfield Dr Ashburn, VA 20147 Avoid This Place! the most unprofessional bunch running a ripoff retail store than a professional healthcare facility! So we were referred to this place by our physician, we called-in and made an appointment over the phone for myself and my wife but when we arrive on the appointment day they told us we were not in the system and we had to get another appointment. We went the second time and had to wait for hours before our turn, hence the appointment, and then the doctor barely talked to us after they did their routine read the chart and look at the machine thing. Without even telling us what the problem was with our eyes and vision she was like you need to get glasses. Then they just directed us to choose from their range of frames, after checking the prices we realized that their prices for every frame was literally inflated by at least a couple hundred percent. The only frames that our insurance would cover were these cheap chines plastic frames that were still prices at more than $200 each. We ordered the glasses and the gentleman with the curly hair who introduced himself as a manager told us that they will receive the glasses in maximum two week and he will personally give us a call when they are received. I called them more than 3 times after those initial two weeks and we are yet to receive our glasses after almost a month. I called them again this afternoon and the lady was actually trying to blame us for not receiving the glasses while making excuses about the postal service and many other things, then she puts on this other gentleman on the phone, the manager gentleman, and he begins by 'did you pickup your glasses' I asked him if this was a joke and how didn't they have a record of their patients and what is picked up or not, then he was like 'in my system it shows in progress so I assumed that you might have picked them up' when I asked him why did he assume they were picked-up instead of apologizing for delaying the entire process, he literally said because he did not feel like apologizing and actually the people working at this facility were the best at what they did. After getting frustrated on the phone and telling him that I will come to the store to deal with the situation and check when were we notified about the delays as he claimed, he literally said "I will call the police if you come to the store and you will be escorted out' when I asked him to talk to a manager or supervisor he refused and said he is the manager and after insisting who did he report to, I am now waiting for an email from him with the details of his manager. Lets see what does the manager of the manager has to say about our worst customer service experience and whether she too will actually blame us for their mess-up and the worst customer service! Long story short, these people are the most unprofessional, poorly trained and rude to be in any customer service business especially healthcare, Also this is basically a high-end overpriced retail store than a professional healthcare facility! read more

I went for my annual exam at the Pleasant Valley Drive, Winchester office yesterday. As always, the staff was terrific and the person who helped me choose my glasses was fantastic. The doctor was not my regular eye doctor and I was not informed I would be seeing another doctor when my appointment was made. I was extremely uncomfortable with Dr. Clauss. He had not read my chart and was unaware of my epiretinal membrane disease, even though there are letters from my opthamalogist in my file detailing my exams and how the disease is progressing. This is extremely important for any optometrist examining me to be aware of. I was shocked that he had not read the letters in the file. He had not looked at any of the information on the forms I had filled out in the waiting room. Why bother spending 20 minutes filling out forms if the doctor isn't going to read them? Dr. Clauss kept asking me to read the eye chart while his head was in the way. Also, because an eye doctor has to get close to the patient's face, it should be required that he not eat garlic at lunch. I found the entire exam extremely uncomfortable and would not go back to see this doctor. I hope that Dr. Luthman will be available for my next appointment. read more

I wish MyEyeDr could keep doctors. After going to the same one in Leesburg for years, he moved on to a practice in Winchester, which is too far for me to drive (Leesburg was pushing it). But I've had success there and previously at the Vienna location, so I tried this new One Loudoun location in Ashburn. I signed up online for an appointment with Dr. Culp -- when I arrived, it was instead a young doctor whose name I've already forgotten. He was super good and nice, but not who I signed up for. Just strange is all. The staff who helped me pick out glasses and such were really great; professional, friendly and fun to interact with. The glasses came in well earlier than promised and fit and look great. I'll probably come back here again next time, though they really do have a pretty enormous markup on glasses so I may go with an online retailer next time after getting my prescription. read more

I had very positive experiences here in the past- until today. After driving in a messy storm to my appointment, a teen bumped my car in the parking garage- after reassuring him and helping him get on his way, I walked to my appointment. When I arrived, the office was empty of customers and three employees were in the front area, not busy. I apologized profusely and began to explain what happened, I was 11 minutes past my appointment time after beginning the check in process (and being in the empty office for a minute or two) at that point, the receptionist told me I missed my appointment and would need to reschedule. Their office was so empty and not busy, they offered to let me reschedule for this afternoon. My plans were to buy new glasses and contacts after just exam today, as a repeat customer. The manufactory website Oliver Peoples is selling these exact frames for $465.00 my eyedr wanted $580.00 what's wrong here. The salesperson told me they would price match over the phone, so I came in. When I got home from the purchase, I notices he charges me the over price price so I called him, and they told me they can't discount when you use VSP. I replied back saying it's not a discount it's Price matching we talked about over the phone they wouldn't do anything so I returned the glasses and will never go back. I called Sterling optical and talked to Zei he was friendly & personable know what he's talking about. MYEYEDR would be a much better company if they had employee's like him. Terrible customer service! I had an appointment scheduled and I even received a confirmation email with the date and time. Somehow their system experienced a glitch and didn't schedule me (but I was showing in the system). Even though this was not my fault, this location would not accommodate me and fit me in. It's not my fault you have a broken scheduling system. Take care of the customer first. The manager said "where am I supposed to fit you in". You don't talk to a customer like that. I had a really good initial experience. Good selection of glasses, attentive staff, and they helped me find a great fit. I was very happy. But then I got a bill for another $100. It was a shock so I called and they said my insurance was not what they thought. That was also a big shock- and not right. When I refused to pay, they said they made some calls, and miraculously decided to absorb the cost and waive the bill. Nice, but really? I went to 44727 Brimfield Dr Ashburn 20247 and I had bad experience with my eye prescription, They gave me a bad prescription or bad measurement in my glasses. I did wear the glasses for few weeks thinking that my vision it will adjusted for good but nothing I started to have headaches because I looked weird with those new glasses, the papers looked stretched out and the letters looked uneven. That's was so weird. It's was like that since the first time they let me try the new glasses i I told them that my vision is bad with those glasses but they pushed me to take it home. Next time I made an appointment for remeasure my eyes, I went to the appointment, spent more then an hour for nothing and they came up with, the doctor doesn't work anymore, there is a new doctor and You have to pay from your packet because your insurance doesn't cover, etc etc This is a very bad place to go for eye exam. The front desk people pretend like they don't know anything and the new doctor didn't want to take a new eye exam for me and she was very rude telling me that she didn't gime the bad eye prescription, etc etc I think this place are very unprofessional believe me, choose another place for your eye exam. I needed an appointment the same day (a Saturday) and 2 offices were booked and one didn't have a doctor that day, they gave us the number for this office. Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment that day, and within 3 hours. It turns out that Dr.Aziz was the same doctor who discovered my son's vision problems were a lot worse than a previous doctor at a different franchise had implied about 2 years ago. He was previously given reading glasses for 20/50 vision. Imagine my shock when he's given a very new prescription for 20/100 and 20/200! He is on the honor roll consistently, without being able to see well, if at all! We didn't realize that he was fighting his sight constantly, and no complaint of headaches nor that his previous glasses....wherever they are.., didn't work.Thank you, Dr.Aziz! So, my turn. I'm constantly fighting to see and was scared since my Dad had glaucoma. My dear husband announced that morning that I was getting my eyes checked. Being the mature adult that I am, I promptly proceeded to whine and avoided the issue. Since I never whined until I had kids, it was a mediocre attempt, at best. Regardless, my appointment was set and we got there. The store was busy, at least 15 people were in this small office. I amused myself with frame selection, and they have a broader variety to choose from than I expected.. The sales staff, especially Ben who saw us and another family frame hunting, brought us each a tray for any frames that we liked.. The seating was barely able to accommodate the crowd, but an increase in seating surfaces might be a wise decision. The preliminaries were handled competently by a really nice lady (I forgot her name :-( ) who was running around doing everything she could to keep people in the loop and updated about their progress in the process. It is sincerely appreciated that she was very solicitous about my extensive and metallic back issues. Dr.Aziz fixed my previous prescription that appears to have had an assortment of inaccuracies, as well as my prescription needing some updating after a few years. She also addressed my constantly dry eyes which makes seeing a challenge, in addition to vision issues. She laid my fears to rest about my eye pressure, explaining the range for normal and the natural rise and fall of pressure throughout the day. She also explained my eye (cornea, nerve, blood vessels and macula) in the retinal picture in depth, with details about what details they look for and may be used along with other information, to indicate any concerns. No concerns this visit! We brought previous frames to use (if they'd work) for the progressive lenses I need. Ben took time and really listened, then proceeded to show me new frames and indicate the area that would make the best use of the tri-focal nature of my lenses. After an endless search, I needed new frames and Ben found the perfect pair. I wouldn't have thought they'd work with my face, but they did! I had two choices, Ben showed me where my visual center would be in each frame, which made it easy. I had old sunglasses by Maui Jim and Ben figured out my options and a lower priced option! I have an almost extinct model number. Ben and another gentleman, whose name I also have misplaced unintentionally, did the research to check and confirm that my lens was still being made, prices and any other options. All told, I spent $$300 - 400 USD less than I had previously experienced, especially considering I basically bought two pairs of glasses. My prescription may take some refining with my eyes seeing double letters, but I'm looking forward to seeing clearly again. The possible 2 week ( two different manufacturers) wait is worth it, in my opinion, when the doctor is as invested as you in your ability to see clearly ! I visited here around September in 2019 and had the most wonderful experience from end to beginning. The doctor I had was very wise and more than accommodating and if my memory wasn't so flippin terrible I'd be recommending her anyone who'd listen. The girl who helped me pick out my glasses and check out, Rachel(?), was the most kind and optimistic person I have met in a long time. We had a very pleasant conversation. When I came back about a week later to pick up my glasses, it was quick and painless process. The thing that drove me to write this review though, was the amazing manager who helped me out this month though. Earlier this month I received a bill in the mail from MyEyeDr saying that owed an additional amount. I called into this office just to find out what the bill was about. I talked to the manager who said we was pretty sure it was that my insurance company said I needed to pay more out of pocket but that he'd call me back. When I talked to him again, he said he'd called corporate and gotten the bill "taken care of"! To be clear, I didn't complain at all or prompt in any way -- he just went above and beyond. It would have been well within his purview to simply say, "you owe more than we initially thought" and I would have accepted that. WARNING!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I visited this office last July in search of a new contact prescription. I am 43 years old and beginning to have trouble with reading. After my exam with the doctor, with the technician I explained that I didn't wear my glasses very often and was happy with what I had. However, I was persuaded into purchasing expensive glasses using all of my insurance money. Convincing me this was my "best option" for use of benefits, I was then charged $198 for my contact lens fitting fee. I left the office that day with a pair of contacts that was close to, but not my prescription. I was told that 2 pairs for me to "try" were on the way. I was contacted within a few days to pick up my 1st lenses. Not being able to see the hood of my car while driving, I immediately called to express my concerns. I was told to wait so I patiently waited and received the call to pick up the other lenses about a week later. I made time in my busy schedule to pick them up and when I got there was told they had no idea what I was talking about and that nobody ever called me. I left the office that day feeling confused and that somehow I made the mistake and was the crazy one! Eventually, after another week the lenses did arrive and I picked them up. I tried them for about a week and again expressed my concerns about not being able to see. I was told that the doctor did not want to see me again and there was basically nothing they could do for me. I was so disappointed and asked if there was a different doctor that could help. After being told no, I asked if it was possible to get my $198 back. Being a single mother in this expensive area of living I didn't understand their response. I was told that my fitting fee did not actually guarantee me a lens that worked and that the doctor "did his job". I asked to see him again and was denied the opportunity. Here we are many months later, and after talking with friends acquaintances and coworkers about different options their doctors have tried to find a solution, I again asked if the doctor would see me? I was told that I would have to use my insurance for this year to do so. This place is horrible and they do not care about their patients at all and will give up on you before exploring all options. I will NEVER give them another penny of my hard earned money or allow them to bill my insurance company . All of the employees are snotty, act like you're bothering them, and as if they are better than you. In my opinion, this office and especially the doctor are crooks and thieves! This 1 star goes to optometrist that worked with us today 02-19-2020. So here's the story, we came to this location second( we ordered glasses from them before) time to get eye exams and order glasses. For my wife, they bumped her prescription and said that if something doesn't work we can change lenses and get the prescription corrected. After picking up her glasses my wife told them that she doesn't feel comfortable in them, so she was told to wear glasses for a week and try to get used to them. We can understand that. So she did. And just couldn't get used to those glasses, because whenever she puts them on she feels dizzy and terribly uncomfortable. So we scheduled an appointment to get this resolved. The appointment was at 1pm. After arriving on time we had to wait for like 20 min or even more until we get to a doctor. When we tried to explain the problem the optometrist didn't bother to work with us on a solution that would work for my wife. She wouldn't listen to any of our objections on the solution she provided. Eventually we were told that if we don't like anything we can just return to my wife's old prescription. And we are wasting her time and other customers are waiting. Seriously? How about my time off work to get to that appointment? How about waiting for the appointment to happen? We were there on time. How about my time driving back to the doctor second time? How about $440 that I paid you, insurance excluded? I expect that a person I pay works with me on solutions to my problem not pointing me at the door. This is what's called poor customer service.
