My appointment was easy to make. I was taken care of right away. Dr Tom explained what they were going to do with my prescription due to my eyes changing. I ordered new lenses and they put them in my frames. Meredith is wonderful and has not only spent the time to make sure the prescription was right. She also fixed my glasses after I had a fall. She spent the extra time necessary to make sure they fit on my face just right. An extra thanks to Meredith. She makes the office work smoothly. read more

Local staff are great, friendly, and nice to work with. However, they use some pretty sketchy billing practices and I won't be going back! They include products/services without mentioning them, costing you extra, I also received a bill in the mail with a different total and different amount than I paid in the store. My EyeDr Lake Zurich, IL- best team ever. I had some issues with broken glasses and I ran out of contacts to boot. The team at Lake Zurich was wonderful. They helped get my glasses fixed, which were really in bad shape! I had stepped on them. The team supplied me with a pack of contacts to hold me over until mine came in. Open but no doctors for vision exams. And let's tell you to go to a place over an hour away instead. Just don't be open if you can't do vision exams. Many people don't even buy glasses in person because it's much cheaper online. And who calls a vision center in a medical emergency. What a waste of time. read more

I was traveling and needed to have my eyeglasses checked because the lens had popped out. I am not a regular customer but they were exceptionally gracious and so helpful. They popped my lens back into the frames and did not ask for a dime! Great experience! read more

Great place to get glasses. The staff is really helpful and upbeat! Dr. Sabrina DHaiti did a thorough examination and was very clear on the results and any future concerns. Tamara, the Optician, was extremely helpful for someone who had no idea of what to look for. There was no pressure and great guidance. Even the left handed receptionist was really nice and welcoming. I had some issues with my glasses and they fixed that right away! Working with good people that you can trust is important when dealing with your health. Great group here. read more

Dr. Balda is a fantastic Optometrist! He listens, he cares, he explains clearly, he is polite, professional and really knows his craft! I have been in his care at least 15 years or better and I would follow him where ever he goes. If this was to rate Dr. Balda, he deserves a 10+. This rating is for My Eye Doctor, Lake Zurich. Most of the staff is polite, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. With one exception. Meredith. Oh-my-God! She answers the phone politely but it stops there. She b**ls***s you and makes up excuses, repeats herself and talks over you. She has also lied to me twice now. In person she makes herself appear real busy and makes mistakes. She has been cold, snappy and bitter and treated rudely ever since My Eye Doctor took the business over. She is supposed to be an Ophthalmologist or titles herself as one if you look her up. (An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who specializes in eye and vision care). I guess she skipped the oath if she even graduated as they promise concern, with compassion and with due regard for their human rights and dignity. We really try to avoid any contact with her but that's not possible. Now we did both get to work with a young lady, Tamara. Same qualities as Dr. Balda and just as awesome. It's sad and disappointing. We cringe and don't look forward to our visits there. read more

Ever since Dr. Lossman retired and the "my eye dr" brand took over, this office is completely unorganized and pushy about making sales. One instance they had recorded my prescription completely wrong, I had ordered a boxes of contacts, opened them and put them in and when I told them they barely acknowledged their mistake or said sorry and quickly ordered another box to get mailed to me. Seems like a pretty huge deal to me to sweep under the rug. My next visit was early December- I left the office with a trial pair of contacts and the Dr ordered another pair to my house to see if I liked them better, I didn't. When I called to get a copy of my prescription of the original trial lenses I had been sent home with, they had forgotten to write it down. Days later I got a phone call saying they had and by that point it was the first couple days of Jan, meaning my 2020 insurance went to waste. When I asked for a copy of my prescription it was nearly impossible to get them to hand it over because they kept insisting I order through them, I was so over it that I did not want to support them anymore in any way. After 4 back and forth I finally received a copy. Front desk staff is passive aggressive, pushy and unhelpful. read more

Meredith, the doctors and staff at the Lake Zurich location provided exceptional care for my teenager. They handled insurance and payment accordingly, gave my teenager plenty of time with lots of encouragement while practicing contacts for the first time. The appointment was very easy to schedule, they gave us plenty of time and didn't feel rushed even though they were busy on a Saturday. Definitely continuing to work with this location! read more

I've seen Dr. Balda and his colleagues for years (Formerly Lossman eye care.). They are all wonderful. I often speak with his tech and admin team and they too are the best. Dr. Balda has a great chair-side manner and he fully explains everything. I highly recommend this office. read more

These people are unorganized and don't know what they are doing and have very poor customer service skills. I went for an appointment that was made on line about a week or so ago. When I arrived they showed no record of the appointment and their computer system was down. After repeatedly asking if I screwed up and scheduled the wrong date she said well can you call back later today to maybe schedule something for tomorrow? How ridiculous! I had the day off for this appointment and how about you call me when you're computer system starts working? Why should I have to guess and keep calling you? If you can't even schedule properly and have amazingly low customer service in that category why would i trust you with my eyes!? read more

I am VERY disappointed at this office. Very dishonest and not care about their customers. On Monday 2/22 I mistakenly call this office instead of my regular Dundee office. Left a message and they call me back.The person answering was going to look up my info and call me back. (I was working and not able to attend this call) Later she call me back and took the order of a year supply contact lenses for my 2 kids. I specifically pay my sons with my FSA and then I pay for my daughter with my CC. At this point the associate did not tell me my kids were not pattiance at this office(Lake Zurich) Later, at 4pm I called to cancel the order made with my CC. They said the order was made and they could not reverse it unless I provided a different card. My ex husband had to pay with his FSA. He called, right away and pay with his FSA. The associate said they will void my transaction. They never called me or anything. I waited 2 days and check my CC. It was charged 370.83 and no refund or voided. I called the 3rd day, they just said to me to call my bank. I did, just to find out that this transaction was not voided. Then I realized they refunded the wrong card!!! Because again...did not care to call me and confirm even though I was very clear when I paid each child's order. Today, 4 days later, I called and explained they refunded/voided the wrong card. The manager Meredith lies right on my face. Blaming my ex husband for the error ("your husband told me to void that CC") completely wrong!! my ex doesn't even know what cards I used. She enficized there was nothing to do on her end. These people only care about making sales! very dishonest, unconsidered and unprofessional. I Definitely learnt my lesson and not to dial phone numbers out of the browser!!! NO COMPLAINS about the office in Dundee, who actually are helping me to solve this issue. This is in response to the manager of My Eye Doctor . After discussing our terrible service at ordering contacts , I now realize after discussing everything with her that although there were no patients ordering glasses or contacts the afternoon we were there , because of low staffing we did not receive the service we would expect according to the manager Meredith . I was told that all contact purchases were price matched with Costco . I went online and it was NOT price matched . In fact Costco was $23 a box cheaper and i purchased 4 boxes for two daughters . That is $92 more than I should pay . I was given a price $50 even higher at my daughters visit for the second daughter. So if I wouldnt have asked I would have paid actually $96 more for one daughter . Meredith the manager says Costco is the only company she priced matched and she openly said purchase contacts here because we price match . She obviously did not price match. I looked online and called Costco . So sad because we all love Dr Balda and our family has been going to him for atleast 13 years . I have asked manager Meredith to have Dr Balda give me a call . We will see if that message gets to him . read more
