I live in the city but made the trip out to Arlington Heights for my consult, then went to their Lombard location for the surgery about two and a half weeks later, and came back to Arlington Heights the next day for the post op. Totally worth it. From start to finish, everything moved efficiently but never felt rushed. On the day of surgery, they took their time with the preoperative steps, did another full workup, checked my corneas again, and the surgeon personally evaluated me before getting started. That gave me real peace of mind. People kept insisting I would need a Valium or something to calm my nerves, but I didn't need it at all. The team was calm, confident, and made me feel completely safe. When it was time, the actual procedure felt like it took three minutes, and that was it. They made sure I understood everything before and after surgery, gave me a full kit with everything I needed, and treated me with respect the whole way through. Now I can see so crystal clear, I'm babying my eyes like they're made of gold. It feels illegal to see this perfect. I talked to Dr. Ubhi did my consultation and explained a lot of the eye and the basis of the procedure. He checked my eyes and was very thorough with all the explanation. I scheduled my surgery for a few days after with Dr. Horn. The day of the procedure, everything went by really quick. Took about 20-30 minutes for the actual surgery. Dr. Horn was always available via phone or text if you had questions or concerns. I did it on a weekday and I went back to work the next day. I know it's scary to think they're "operating" on your eye, but it honestly was mostly like lights flashing haha if you're considering it, I would highly recommend. I was waiting for the right time to do and I couldn't be happier with my results.

I had many…read morehorrible encounters here following my original surgery, so this review is well within the Yelp terms of service, even as this sketchy factory tries to get negative reviews deleted. I want to give an update because LasikPlus came very close to ruining my life. I had -1.5 vision in both eyes prior to lasik, but because they did a poor job vetting me, my vision is now -4.25. I was a poor candidate for lasik due to topographical issues in my corneas, but LasikPlus went full speed ahead, insisting that I was a prime candidate. Two other ophthalmologists have since told me that they were negligent in operating on me. I frankly wish I'd thought to sue them sooner, as I have post-lasik ecstasia as a result of going to them. Truly the biggest regret of my life, avoid this butcher shop with a 100 foot pole.
