I have spent a hefty amount on office visits, contact fittings, 2 rounds of eye dilations and the lens and frame. It's been a non-stop process for about a month now. I went in on Thursday for an eye dilation to help my eyes "adjust to the prescription" and I have worn either the glasses or contacts religiously. I am still not adjusting. I am not driving since I don't feel comfortable. I just called and they can't see me until the 22nd (dr is going on vacation) and said they will check but I might have to pay another visit fee. Is this all normal or do they just suck? The contacts are a little better distance wise but it just doesn't feel "clear". Vision is worse than before and my bank account is down $700.

I called Vista Eye to get the issue corrected, since it had only been one week since my exam. Instead of showing concern or offering to recheck the prescription, they told me I would need to pay another $60. I was shocked. I expected a clinic to stand behind the accuracy of its exam, especially within such a short time frame. I left feeling frustrated and unheard. The whole situation came across as more about collecting fees than providing patient care. I regret going here and I would not return. There are many optometrists in the Fort Worth / Keller / Timberland / Heritage area who are far more compassionate and supportive. If you value customer care and accuracy, I recommend looking elsewhere before choosing Vista Eye.

I had the numbers on the card available, but instead of working the issue and contacting my insurance - she submitted under a random electronic drop down for a different type of Metlife insurance and I was later contacted via text with a message stating Spectrum Vision needed additional insurance information. I called the Spectrum Vision office and was given voicemail. On the voicemail - I left my insurance numbers and the phone number for Metlife. A phone number the office workers could have used to call Metlife and verify this office was covered (as it is listed in the online provider directory). Instead of doing her job, she cancelled my appointment when I was unable to pickup the phone Wednesday. I was working constantly and unable to pick up the phone - so she should have done her job instead of cancelling my appointment. Is it that hard to call a phone number for an insurance provider?
