The service was wonderful, I was greeted immediatley upon entering the store. Everyone was very professional and the decor/environment felt inviting. You can tell the employees really like their job. Dr. Patel was very nice and went above and beyond with my vision needs. The girl that helped me pick out my glasses was very honest and I'm very happy with my choices. I ended up purchasing multiple glasses and a set of contacts while i was there. This is my new go to place for eyeglasses, I was really impressed. My biggest feedback was that Dr. Patel cares for each and every patient like their his family. He talks about anything and the conversation makes the exam and experience go by so quickly, you'd wish it would take longer so you can enjoy his company. On my recent visit to Dallas I stumbled upon this place, my first impression was this place is beautiful. It's well organized and the layout was well thought of. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the staff with candy and coffee, a great first impression right there. Dr, Patel was great, he was able to take walk-ins and was very patient with me throughout the visit. He immediately noticed I had dry eyes and was able to fit me with silicone plugs. I was very nervous about it, he walked me through everything and I didn't feel a thing. The whole procedue took about 5 minutes. The results were great, I can finally wear contacts longer then 6 hours and I don't need to put eye drops in my eyes every day. read more

Today I went In person to get my annual eye check up appointment which I have had with this business before. They told me to come back 45 min later as they've had a cancellation. I come back and staff is very friendly and I fill out the paperwork and talk to them up close and women even touch my glass while standing right in front of me - the moment I'm about to sit down and wait the same women ask me if I have a mask and I say no and I'm not wearing one - she then tells me she would have to ask the doctor if this is ok! I tell her it was not an issue last week when my husband visited so I'll wait for that. I sit down and wait - no one tells me anything and 25 min later and way past the appointment time I came back for, I get up and ask if appointment is cancelled or what's going on. The other woman says very indifferently and barely will look at me that the doctor is late and if I can wait another 20 min. or so. That would be a total of 45min plus. I say no I don't have all day to sit and wait. So my point is.... Front desk service is terrible, unwelcoming and arrogant. The moment I said I don't wear a mask the atmosphere changed and the front desk became hostile - my husband was in the clinic last week and no mask issue or bad attitude - I feel they are a bunch of racist arrogant people who have no respect for other peoples time plus they apparently think they can treat a women differently and with no respect! My family will take our business elsewhere and I do not recommend any patriotic Americans to use this business as they don't respect or treat their customers well STAY AWAY! read more

This Vision Care facility is a rip off. I have premium eye insurance, it covers the full cost of the eye exam and $350 allowance towards for glasses, lenses, contacts. It took them 6 phone calls to verify my insurance after I filled out their online webform. They told me they accepted my insurance, and it covered my exam. After the exam, they told me I owed them $125 because my insurance didn't cover the exam. I told them that was incorrect and asked why they even validated before the appointment it covered the exam? They then produced the portion of my vision insurance to prove it didn't cover the exam - but the language very clearly stated it did cover it. They tried to reason that it didn't! I asked to speak to a manager. The rep went in the back, spoke with her manager, then came back and said the manager said they wouldn't charge me on this visit, and that my insurance would 90% likely cover the exam - but they would bill me if they didn't. I also had a pair of driving glasses that I needed new lenses in, and also wanted another pair of glasses. Unlike other optometrist offices who dealt with the same insurance over the past 3 years, this office wanted to charge me $350 to simply replace the lenses in my existing frame (standard lenses, nothing special about them) - I got the lenses replaced at another reputable optometrist for under $125 in the Flower Mound area - this place is a rip off! Also, when I filled in my information on their web application, it kept on changing my birthdate and apparently put my private identifiable information on other records they had. Another patient came into the office, and the pulled up the patients records, and asked to verify their address - they read out my home address to the patient - and I overheard it as I was still in the lobby - I told the rep that was my address. The rep said that was very strange because my address was showing up on other patients records! read more

WOW! Just wow! I am very impressed with Dr. Patel and Tiffany. Both have been extremely professional and sincerely interested in taking care of my eyes. I met Dr. Patel & Tiffany for the first time in January for a routine eye exam. At that time I brought up dry eye and my interest in a "reader" contact for one eye so I could finally be done with wearing readers. Dr. Patel provided me with a great eye drop that works nicely. At a subsequent visit he suggested eye plugs for my dry eye and they have been terrific and have helped tremendously with keeping my eyes lubricated. In addition, he fitted me for a reader contact. I wore them for a week and they weren't quite doing the trick and made me a bit dizzy so I showed up and was able to get a different contact sample to try. A few days later I stopped back in and explained it too was not working. They fit me in between appointments and literally tried 4 or 5 different contact options. They were very patient and I never felt rushed during the process. I am so grateful they spent the time helping to get my prescription just right because I am 110% happy now and can see close up and far away with my multifocal contact in one eye. Life changing!!! I highly recommend going to visit Personaleyes in Lakeside. You will not be disappointed. Dr. Patel and Tiffany are both knowledgeable and very patient when thoroughly explaining options and recommendations. This really sets them apart from other eye care providers. Dr. Patel is so friendly and makes you feel so comfortable! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He has the latest technology. For example, I no longer have to endure puffs of air to each eye because he has new machine that will test your eye pressure in a different way. While looking for glasses, he told me the size I needed to look for that would suit my face the best. Dr. Patel is always so willing to help with any of your eye care needs. My daughter and I both saw Dr. Patel. He and his staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and patient with us. They explained everything they were doing and discussed multiple options for our eye care needs. When the contacts that my daughter initially tried didn't work for her, Dr. Patel provided her with multiple alternatives until she found one that did work. My glasses came back with a defect I couldn't even see and Dr. Patel reordered the lenses because they were not to his standards. It is great to have such a great doctor in Lakeside! read more

Our family really wanted to like this business. Dr. Kumar Patel is really nice and our family received comprehensive eye exams. Unfortunately the merchandise carried by this establishment is not top notch. Most of the inventory is discontinued and deeply discounted elsewhere or unavailable. The prices here do not reflect this. We have spent a significant amount of money here. My recent purchase was slightly discounted but I found it wasn't on par with several other retailers. I was not given the proper cases for the merchandise I purchased. When I asked about this I was told they purchase their own cases because they have too many glasses to have the regular cases. I called for an eye exam for contacts price and was told 125.00. That's about was I have been paying elsewhere for years. Since this establishment is close by, I tried it out. When I checked out, the price was around 240.00 and they said the higher price was due to another aspect of the exam...whatever it was, the eye doctors I've been going to for years never charged me extra for it....and a common courtesy of letting me know up front before the exam would have helped. I had to argue to get my prescription filled without buying it from Personaleyes. And I see the doctor restricted the quantity of lenses I can order on the prescription, something else in 25 years of going to eye doctors I've never seen. The staff is friendly while in the store, but their business ethics and practices are unacceptable. I won't be back, and if you're planning on going, watch for the significant extra charges like dishonest car mechanics like to pull. I don't know where they are getting their poor policies and practices from, so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more
