I normally don't leave reviews, but this whole experience was a mess from start to finish. When I first went in, no one explained any of the extra charges they added onto my glasses. I was never told these upgrades were optional or even that they cost extra. I only found out about the huge upcharge afterward. I reached out to Patient Relations, and they told me they forwarded my email to the Prosper office and that I should hear back within 24-48 hours. I didn't hear anything. I emailed Patient Relations again... and they went completely silent too. No follow-up, no acknowledgment, nothing. So we had to call the Prosper office ourselves. Only then did someone suddenly offer an $85 "discount" because they said my glasses were already being made and "couldn't be stopped." Except that wasn't true at all. When I went to pick them up, the glasses weren't made. They didn't even have my frames. They only had the lenses. The employee had to grab a pair of frames off the display wall and put my lenses into them right then and there. I didn't get a case or any of the normal things that come with new glasses. Nothing. So not only were the charges never explained, but the excuse they gave about the glasses being "in production" turned out to be false. Between the lack of transparency, the zero communication, and the unprofessional pickup experience, this location seriously needs to do better. I would not recommend going here unless you're okay with surprise charges and being ignored when you try to fix them. read more

Had nothing but great experiences before the last couple days. Dr. Konvalin was GREAT with helping me with my Keratoconus contact lens fitting the last couple years. I woke up yesterday and when I went to put in my contact the very center had a hole in it. I called to explain what happened and I was sent to a contact lens tech named Amy. She was very rude and said the lens was damaged due to me using the wrong solution. I've had Keratoconus since I was 18 (22 years) and I've always double checked with each doctor I've had every single year on which solution to use for each specific contact lens. There are so many and I know some are very specific with which solution to use. The doctor said I was fine using Clear Care and Bio True. After explaining that to Amy she was still rude and said she would call me back after getting more information on my lenses. That was 1/29/26. Today, 1/30/26, she called me and explained I'm past my 1 year warranty with the lenses (I'm definitely not as one year appointment is not until March) so I would have to pay full price to order the lens. I let her know I would be finding someone else for next appointment and she said "ok bye" and hung up. Terrible customer service. Apparently my old doctor has retired and I'm not sure if another doctor there has experience fitting Keratoconus contacts. I would steer clear of this office. I know there's a prompt that says all calls are recorded. Management needs to pull these calls to verify. This is for the Prosper location. read more

This provider charged my daughter for services and add-ons that are not covered under her insurance and did not inform her that these services were optional or would result in additional out-of-pocket expenses. The optometrist asked if she frequently uses her phone. When she said yes, they recommended blue light lenses, which are not covered by her insurance. They also performed additional tests that are not covered. They took advantage of my daughter because she was at the appointment alone. We emailed and called multiple times but did not get a response until the glasses were already being made, and then we were told "it's too late". When we went to pick up her glasses, they just had the lenses, no frames. The optometrist took the frames off the wall and added her lenses to them. They didn't give her a case or anything. I have disputed the extra charges with my HSA. I do NOT recommend this provider. read more

I looked at the reviews of this location before setting an appointment with them, but decided to go ahead and do it just to see. Well, I'm very glad I did. The staff were very helpful, informative, and kind. After looking at most of the reviews, it honestly sounds like it just boils down to the patient(s) either not asking enough questions, or not being well versed in what their vision insurance covers. I made sure to have a copy of my medical and vision insurance cards before I showed up. I also made sure to review what my vision insurance explicitly covers, as well as have a digital copy of it on me. When I arrived, they asked for my vision and medical insurance cards as well as a copy of my drivers license. They asked if I would like retinal imaging and let me know how much the co-pay would be if I opted in. After all of my tests were ran, a sales associate helped me pick out a pair of frames that were within my coverage offered by my insurance. I made sure to reference the copy of my insurance coverage on me as well just to make sure I wasn't going to be paying out-of-pocket. All in all, I had a great time here at this location. I hope this feedback is helpful to whoever plans on booking an appointment. FYI: If you're more than 10mins late, you'll need to reschedule your appointment. read more

I have been going here for years!!! Purchased over 7 pairs of glasses or sunglasses and contacts. I came in this year to pick up a new pair for my computer after a great exam and asked them to adjust a pair of glasses I purchased elsewhere. She attempted to do so and in the process melted my coating on the lenses thus destroying the ability to use them. She apologized profusely but only offered to give me 50% off new lenses which would have costed me $400 !!! Why would I pay anything for something I didn't cause. I refused to pay took my glasses which are ruined and will not go back. They lost a very good client. read more

Went in there on Saturday to look at lenses. There was one Guy/assistant, bleach blond hair, long painted nails, piercings that was working with a customer. I get it he was working with someone but there were breaks while the customer was reviewing his lenses. Assistant didn't so much as acknowledge me waiting. No "I'll be right with you", nothing. You think you're just coming in for a regular exam then bam...hit with ridiculous fees. I've used other optometrists in the past and recieved the same sevices and not been charged. One example, a contact fitting fee? I've used the same contacts and prescription for years but was told I had to pay the $30 fee or not get the contacts. Understand your plan benefits before you decide to go here. Otherwise, these people will rip you off. Everything was fine with the visit until I got to the checkout with this Asian lady. She tried to charge me $125 for the eye exam, and I told her I knew what my plan covered, and it went down to $55 magically. Plus, she charged me $40 extra for some image that I was never told I would have to pay for. I argued, and she went to talk to her technicians to see if they told me about this. Once she confirmed that they failed to tell me about it, she waived the charge. However, she still decided to educate me on how I should refuse it next time instead of admitting that they should be upfront about it. I was there for a simple annual eye exam, but this lady had all the intention to juice every single penny out of me. Very dishonest practice. If you are billed via a text link or paper bill to pay on their website, understand the office cannot provide you an itemized statement nor can their billing office if needed for your HSA or FSA. Also, if you go into the office, they cannot see that you paid the bill and when you call their billing office they tell you they will provide you an itemized statement via email in 3 - 5 business days which they never do. read more

I've never been to an eye doctor as my vision has always been perfect but I figured since my insurance covered an annual appointment, it would be great to just double check everything looks good! This place is located in a plaza so parking is free and plentiful. The waiting room is a nice size with plenty of seating. The receptionist was so sweet and welcoming. She helped explain the paperwork to me as I'm a first time patient. The assistant explained each procedure to me, which was fascinating since I've never been to an eye doctor. Dr. Stiles also was very kind and explained everything he was working on for me. Overall, a wonderful experience with kind people and transparency. My husband also has been to this same place for an appointment and also highly recommends it. read more

I am very disappointed in this office. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter, and when she arrived, they had no record of the appointment. I received an email and text confirmation for her appointment. They refused to check her in without a copy of her insurance card, which they already had on file. Then, after they were done with her exam, they informed her that she would have to pay out of pocket for the exam because they didn't bother to check her insurance coverage, and she was one month away from it being covered. Dr. Wang is excellent, but the front office staff are difficult to deal with. Optical department is very unprofessional. I bought my glasses and lens from this location. I spend over $800 on Tom Ford glasses and lens. Sales associates at that time mention that lenses are not scratched able. I have been taken care of glasses very well since I spend good amount of money. So I went there today and talk to one of the associate at predation location and explain her that my lens are scratched. I told her there was a white lady i spoke too and what she have explained me. So I would like you to take care of this issue. According to her statement that employe does not work there anymore. I told her, maybe because she was telling a lie to the customers. That's why she's no longer work there. At that moment, she did not make any comment. So I told her you guys should owner it and fix my lenses. She said since it's been 2 yrs they can not fix it. I told her, I own a pair of eye glasses for past 6 yrs and I used them rough and it does not have not even one single scratch. I should have gone back to the same place I bought my glasses and lens. Poor customer service and falls advertisement. I will not recommend anyone there and second thing I find out that my lenses are not protected with some kind of shield since I use a laptop a lot. I'm a Software Engineer. I told that lady when I made the purchase that I spend lots of time front of laptop and she said that lenses you are receiving it will protect my eyes from laptop contact. But today I find out it does not cover that. God knows what else they are lying. So please be careful with these kind of scams. They are telling you something else and you're receiving different product. Same thing happened to my Mom lenses also and I did mention that sales associate about it. And she started apologizing and I'm going through with such an experience. I told her that your apology doesn't meant anything to me since you guys are lying and also not owning it. During my wait, I watched the doctor come back from lunch and see other patients that arrived after I did and no one in the front office addressed his tardiness or the reason why other people were seen before me, that showed up after me. I am or was a current patient at the MyEyeDr in Prosper, TX. I recently had the experience of encountering a situation I was not and have not been in before during my time at MyEyeDr. While in the waiting area I witnessed a highly disturbing situation in which the front desk receptionist, I believe her name tag said Kari, made highly inappropriate remarks regarding the other patients at her place of work. These remarks included things such as "this is not a name it's just the alphabet rearranged" when referring to a patient who I can only assume is a person of color. "Those people" also referring to persons of color when filling out paperwork, amongst other comments and gestures. These actions are not only highly unprofessional as well as being blatantly racist and bigoted. I feel horrible for the other patients that go there and seeing as the greater Prosper, TX area is home and community to a large POC population I cannot imagine what they must think or feel when they enter this place of business. I was highly uncomfortable and greatly taken aback by her words and actions and will be taking my business to a more professional and welcoming place. This behavior is not just unacceptable, it is highly disturbing and frankly completely out of touch given the majority of the clientele is a part of the POC community in Prosper. read more
