My fiance' had an eye dr appointment with them at 12 noon. We weren't even 5 minutes late and they told us we had to reschedule. I tried to explain and show them she has 2 healing broken knee caps, recently operated on. She has braces on both legs from her hip to her ankles. It was more difficult to get her in the car than expected, cause she's been having trouble walking the last couple days and is in a lot of pain. Most doctors offices have at least a 5 minute leeway. I'll bet even if we were there on time we'd have had to wait 20 minutes or so to be seen. This is the worst place and most inconsiderate office I have ever been to. Just an update, I wanted to reschedule my appointment, I figured that my last experience, wasn't how they really work, and they were just having a bad day. So, when they said," can you hold please" I said no! The last time they never picked back up. So, she just hung up on me. This place has the rudest, most incompetent people ever. Worst experience I have ever had at any Eye appointment in my life ! I was told the exam was $99 dollars, it was $143. It was an extra charge for photos of the back of my eyes and I was NOT told there was a charge for it. When I got my glasses back in the two weeks they said it would take, the lens were 1980's thick. I asked why were they so thick and was told it was my script and they could thin them out for an extra charge. I had spent $513 for this appointment and was not about to put out more cash. Also the script was incorrect as the left eye was blurry and the glasses themselves were dirty. They were handed to me instead of checking them to see if I could see and if they needed adjusting. My refund of $370 will be in in six to eight weeks by mail even though I paid on the spot. read more

They are terrible. Unscrupulous and incompetent. They ruined both my mother's and my glasses. That doctor Rodgers is the worse eye doctor we have been to. She is rude and has terrible bedside matters, and the lady owner is a beach. We both had to return twice to get them redone because mine were blurry, and my mother could see better through a dollar store reader than the ones these people did for her. I was so upset after three visits that I told them to refund my money, and they said no refund. In other words, they blame us--those sons of a bad mothers. We decided it wasn't worth fighting them and went to Newsom, and not only did they get it right the first time, but both cost less. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with! I had an appointment the July 3rd and got caught in holiday traffic and called them and they said I had a 10 min grace period... got there 12 mins late and they wouldn't see me said they were short staffed (how is that my fault?) I am a single mother and had to take off work and pay for a sitter and also drove 30 mins to get there! Fast forward 3 weeks later that they rescheduled me and I was coming from my child's dr appt and was literally 8 mins late and they wouldn't see me! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 10 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD??? I overheard one of the girls in the office say they were re to go home and I was the last appointment so reschedule her... Don't schedule people if you dont want to be there! When I was younger if you wanted to tease somebody that wore glasses, you called them "Four eyes." Nowadays, I would be "Optically challenged." Ridiculous! As a recent transplant to FL, I was looking for one of those all-in-one places where you could get your exam and glasses all in one stop. These guys seemed to fit the bill and they are a fairly large chain. INTAKE- They claimed walk-ins were welcome but I made an appointment and was taken after about a twenty minute wait. PRO TIP- They are not open evenings or on Saturday which I consider a negative. PRELMINARY TESTING- The young lady that handled this was just OK. I was a little disconcerted that some of this preliminary stuff was manual. I'm used to it being all automated and in this case I think automated is more accurate. THE EXAM- My doc was OK but just that. His bedside manner was just barely adequate and he made me feel like I was on an assembly line. THE GLASSES PURCHASE- This young lady was way, way too chatty for me. All kinds of extraneous questions that got in the way. She acted like she wanted to be my new BFF. I was annoyed. THE FITTING- This person was friendly, competent and all around exceptional. It was a great way to end my experience. MY NEW GLASSES- Very nice! CONCLUSION- I'm conflicted! I expected more automated/sophisticated testing from a fairly large chain. I expected a doc with better people skills. My experience with the people in general was mixed. On the other hand, my new glasses are very nice. In another year I'll be ready for my annual exam and I'll likely look at other options. read more

This is the 3rd time they have broken my personal glasses , the lady broke my glasses in front of me and I have a witness that saw how she broke it . They won't give me a refund for more than 1 month and say they are giving me a check when I payed with card , then the bifocals weren't even balanced out and was crooked . I am so disappointed because it's the 3rd time they have done this , if I have to take this to a lawyer I will do what needs to be done because this is outrageous. BAD EYE EXAM AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO APOLOGY/ MYEYEDR. - SEBRING, FL July 18, 2018, I went for an eye exam for glasses. The person who measured my eyes, Alicia, forgot to write down my optical center. The glasses came in just after July 30th and I couldn't see because the prescription was beneath my field of vision. Valinda took the measurement and sent them back. The glasses came back 2 weeks later with the new prescription. I wore them for 3 days to get adjusted but noticed that when driving, I couldn't see any street signs and if I were out of town, I would get lost. I called to find out when Valinda would be in and was told that Tuesday and Wednesday. I took the glasses back again on Tuesday, Aug. 14th and she wasn't there. Now this is my second time coming back with these glasses and Maricela tried to rush me out at first to come back the following Thursday when she said Valinda would be back. I refused to walk out again because this back and forth encroaches on my work hours. Further, I was told over the phone to come in that day! Maricela wrote down my complaint. I asked if I could have my old prescription put in the new frames and she agreed that could be done. She took my old glasses from me that I was wearing at the time and allowed a tech to write down my prescription from the glasses. She didn't tell me she needed the prescription to be faxed in from my previous provider. I waited another 2 weeks thinking I would hear something any day but I didn't so I called again today, Aug. 29th, only to be told my frames were just sitting there. No apology, no responsibility taken. Maricela actually told Valinda she left me a voicemail requesting the fax of the old prescription which she didn't. I checked! When I called the old dr, I was told it was illegal for them to use an expired prescription. I called Valinda back and she said that is true. They could have told me that before I called the old doctor! They enjoy wasting folks' time. So how to resolve this mess? Turns out, they have one doctor so I would have to see the same doctor who messed up my prescription the first time. The alternative offered was for me to drive to Bartow or Lake Wales to see another provider. This is totally inconvenient so I asked for a refund. Valinda said it would process today but I had to call my insurance to have my benefits reinstated. The insurance asked me to conference call with them to confirm what would be needed and Miranda (who answered the phone and professed to handling insurance) said this would have to be done the following day with the manager, Kristen, who would also be the one to initiate my refund. I asked what time she would be in and the answer was just as ambiguous, "first thing in the morning". So far, acc. to Valinda I am not entitled to a refund of the eye exam because it was a service provided and I have to wait 5-7 days for the $310 I spent. Mind you, no one there showed any remorse for the poor work or customer service or the fact that I have been waiting approximately 6 weeks now for a pair of glasses that I paid for already. This is ridiculous. I want a full refund for every dollar spent, assurance that my insurance benefits will be reinstated and pecuniary payment for my wait and waste of time. I put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Florida which forwards these grievances to headquarters. Hopefully, I will be recompensed for this mess. read more

Today after I confirmed twice I would have come for the visit for 5 minutes delay the doctor was gone. The ladies at the front desk were not that concerned about my complaints. I've always had a good experience here. I feel like they listen when I have concerns and ask questions. Getting your eyes looked at can feel very uncomfortable if you like to have a barrier of personal space. The doctors here have never made me feel uncomfortable, unlike several of my previous experiences. I really like this place and I am sorry others have had poor experiences. read more

I set up my appointment online for 10/25/2017 at 3:30 pm with MyEyeDr. because my vision insurance recommended them as a premier place to help take care of my vision needs and also because I hadn't had an eye exam in 1 1/2 years, The staff there were friendly, helpful, and courteous as well as the optometrist that saw me. I only waited about 10 minutes to see the optometrist and after my eye exam, I was told that my vision was excellent. I was also told by the optometrist that I did not need any eyeglasses because my vision had not changed since my last eye exam. With that being said, I did not get any eyeglasses.
