Emergency A First…read moreClass Team took care of me at the HCA hospital ER on a weekend, so I'd like to thank them for their excellent care! The receptionist Barbara calmly checked me into the ER, and without much waiting, a physician named Christian observed my injury and ordered cat scans which were done by a very pleasant young woman named Ellie. Another young man named Christian answered my insurance questions and handled my insurance cards, Bella guided me from one place to another always asking if there was anything more that I might need to be as comfortable as possible (a pillow, ice pack...), Michelle brought me the nicest, most comfortable ice pack ever, and finally, Raney presented all the completed paperwork --scan results, signed by a doctor, with clear recommendations that helped me get through the week and follow up with my doctor. The hospital was very clean, bright, and organized, and the staff was seriously TOP NOTCH! Highlands County is blessed to have such an amazing facility! I, for one, am SO grateful!

From the moment I checked in for pre-op before my surgery with Melynda, an absolute doll, who was caring and hysterically funny to boot, which eased my mind, to check in for the surgery itself. I've never had so much attention by healthcare professionals before. Allan, who was in charge of my PT spoke to me in detail how things would be handled after surgery. He was very precise in a kind and loving way, and made me feel.at complete ease. Hes super friendly and knowledgeable. The nursing staff that worked on me were BEYOND wonderful. Their attention to detail was unbelievable. They constantly monitored me with loving care. Honestly, it was like I was family. Special shout out to Jace and Monica both. They were beyond wonderful. I was awake and Jace brought me warm cookies at 3 in the morning. My boyfriend and I were treated to a 5 3 course meal that ended with NY style cheesecake drizzled with strawberries. Being on a fixed income and all other costs rising this is not a viable option. Now I must scramble to find another doctor to get my eye drop prescriptions refilled along with going through the whole process of explaining my medical history. I am getting fed up with doctors / clinics and insurance companies not being able to come to agreement at the expense of their patients!

Heads up! - Two reviews (Lee Y & Tito R) are incorrectly posted and belong with the hospital across the street. Process- Before my 1st appointment, they texted me an online registration link. This minimized the paperwork and was much appreciated! Appointments run on time which is delightful! Atmosphere- This is a big place with all the rehab bells and whistles for both PT and OT. Masks are required and they clean equipment a lot! Customer Service- The two service folks that have touched me have been friendly and efficient. For consistency, I requested that I have the same therapist each visit and they happily accommodated me! Therapists- My guy has been awesome. He likes to set objective goals and he clearly explains the "why" of every exercise. In addition to getting better, I'm learning a lot! These folks are part of the Advent Health System which I use quite a bit. They are great choice for outpatient rehab in Highlands County.

I went in for an ultrasound and ended up in the ER. Yes, the staff is worn out in places - they have been in a war. Still, I received all the treatment I needed. The operating room was beyond overbooked. So, I had to wait a day for my surgery. I was kept out of danger with antibiotics. EVERY staff member was a true hero. I know many of them were working after having had COVID and still came back. So, after waiting a day, I was the only one in pre-op. I went almost right in and EXPERT surgeons saved my life. Turned out it was worse than they first thought and the antibiotics had really been needed. After surgery, I was treated for another three days and EVERY test and procedure was done. I have been in this hospital with my family a few years back and it's not the same - it's rougher around the edges. THE WHOLE WORLD is rougher around the edge.

This is a review of the fine folks that took care of her in her final days. This facility is part rehab facility and part nursing home. Over the past six years, she has been here for rehab, for several weeks at a time, five or six times. She was so pleased with the service and the staff that she chose here for the last year of her life She was comfortable and cared for and clean and well fed and stimulated as best as you can be at that advanced age. Over the years, I've visited dozens and dozens of times, and I've found the employees to be just fine. While the pandemic was a huge challenge, they handled it professionally. The "lockdowns," while annoying for visitors and loved ones were a necessary part of the unprecedented situation. This is not the "Mercedes" of nursing homes but if you want to sleep well at night knowing that your loved one is well cared for, this is a fine choice in the Central Florida area!

Really got covid isn't serious vibes from all the staff. I did not use their lack of covid protocols in my review score because many people don't mind but: **For imunocompromised people or people concerned about covid** I really got the impression they don't take COVID seriously at all. They have really antiquated covid information posted in the waiting room from over 2 years ago, all of which were telling you cherry picked information that was actually not true for the situation and was the opposite of CDC recommendations. One was about exercising with a mask I guess as an excuse for why they're not masked the other was about latex gloves which I guess is why they didn't wear latex gloves even though every medical professional knows about universal standard precautions. Now for the bad stuff: I did not feel like they took my pain level seriously. I explained that without the 2 over the counter pain meds and three prescription medicines that I am on that my pain level is at a nine out of ten. Reviewed the xrays and showed what needed to be done first and what could wait. The billing staff was really nice and the cost was well below any competition. We have been to several dentist since moving to Sebring and Smile Design is the first one that we did not feel like they were using us to finance a Rolls Royce. Very impressed and satisfied!!!
