Stopped by My Eye Doctor here in St Augustine Florida. Asked for help to fix the arm of my glasses. The counter guy was deaf. He didn't understand my needs so he got the manager who came back from around the corner berating me. Said I was rude to his associate. I don't know what the deaf guy said to Aaron, the manager . . . But I tell you I was not rude to the deaf gentleman! I just asked for help. Aaron the manager was insipid, condescending and just down right rude. I'm patiently waiting for the district manager, Ryan to get back with me on the matter. I want sit down with Ryan and explain how Aaron, instead of of putting out the fire tossed gas on the fire! I was embarrassed. I sat back in my chair crossed my arms and listened to his inappropriate behavior. Finally I had enough. Stood up looked him the eye and said "Fuck You" turned and walked out. I'm 75 years old just and had open heart surgery, a triple by pass. . . I needed help. read more

I stopped going to these people 6 years ago due to lousy service . They re-did a pair of $800.00 (out of MY pocket) safety glasses FOUR times AND NEVER got them right . I was Never able to use them and they Never made things right !!! Told my wife to use the new place I go to but she wanted to stay with these people... Well after today THAT will not happen anymore ! Their new "manager" is quite the piece of work , he's RUDE and Over Charges ... My wife just gets the basics and it's NEVER went over what medicare covers NOW they put some BS charge on there (never seen it on ANY of the paperwork from previous transactions) that forces the customer to pay $48.00 Out Of Pocket.... He makes VERY Sure that Everyone knows HE'S THE MANAGER !!! Well screw him AND myeyedr as they'll NEVER see either of us again ! The My Eye Dr in St. Augustine... I can not say enough good things about them. The care that was given to me was amazing. I still get calls from the doctor checking on my progress after my procedure. Dr. Hilverum is amazing. She really explained everything so that I could understand. I will be taking my 83-year-old mother there next month for her new eye exam. When I first came to their store, I was impressed with how much they cared for me. I got all my plant and everything I found them expensive expensive is the worst and even with my insurance so I decided to buy them and I did well. I ordered them on 7 May and today is. The 17 of May and I never heard anything back from them. I called today and they've been ready and waiting. They couldn't find me by my name or my last name. They couldn't find me by my phone number which they got wrong and lastly, they couldn't find me by my address or the order number finally after repeated times of explaining how to spell my name and my address and everything they finally were able to find them acting like I'm an idiot. I have never seen anybody so rude in my life after spending almost the whole order was 699 after my insurance came to 500 you think they give you better service you think they call you and let you know they're in and lastly you think they wouldn't be ready. I gotta pick them up today but I'll never use them again. I think when you get a pair of glasses, they should treat you with some Respect just cause the deals done. Doesn't mean the customer is done. Look around best terrific service. I'll go back there next time and I'll get two pairs for the price of what I paid here. read more

Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! After 9 weeks of waiting and no glasses, I demanded a full refund! no one could even offer an explanation as to what happened!! Initially, I was impressed by the large selection. However, after seeing how high the frames were prices, hearing first hand angry customers while waiting 30 minutes for my exam, and the exorbitant prices for lenses, I left. Only the sweet and knowledgeable staff, that helped me, kept me there for that long. read more

I am so sad that this location has become terrible. I have been here several times for me, my husband, and my son. I had an appointment today at 11:20 but still was not seen at 12:50. When I went to the desk to inquire why it was taking so long to be seen, the receptionist tried to make me feel crazy for asking. Also, after waiting so long I noticed the actual appointments now take an hour, at least that's how it was today. After the wait and how the receptionist treated me, I left. No eye exam. I did not feel comfortable with anyone working there to touch or look at my eyes. I will never go to any My Dr again. read more

I have been going here for years. The service was always great, and the staff knew what they were doing. But now I will never go back. I arrived for my 9:20 appointment at 9:00, and by the time I walked out it was 12:30. I was in and out of the exam in no time. The real problem came when it was time to order my trial pair of contacts. The First Lady could not even figure out how to order them. After an hour the lady at the desk tried helping. I decided to call the insurance company to have them explain to the lady how my insurance worked. That still didn't work. So needless to say I had to wind up spending almost $200 of which I didn't have to spend. Thank goodness for my insurance company for they are footing the bill for my contacts. So never again will I go back or recommend this place. If I could have given no stars I would have read more

Find somewhere else. Have been coming for years and never will again. Both the new GM Paula and Doctor Hilversum are taking advantage of their customers by forcing products and services without approval. I've been coming to this location for years. I loved the people. They had a great staff that knew their customers well. It ran like a well oiled machine. That is no longer the case. All of the employees that have worked there for many years apparently walked out due to new management. I went there to fill a new prescription. I was there for over an hour and there were at least 10 other people waiting. When I went to pick up my glasses, again there were 10-12 people waiting. There was only one poor woman working on the floor, I asked that if I came back in an hour if it would be better and I was told yes that others would be back from lunch by then. I came back, still 10 people waiting and only one person on the floor. I waited almost an hour then asked if the one person was the only one working on the floor and was told yes. A manager came from the back to help me and it took her a half an hour to find my lenses. I left, went back home and could not see out of my glasses. I took them to the Palm Coast location only to find that the store in St Augustine had put my prescription in completely wrong. Palm Coast is correcting the error in a prompt manner. Emily is very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be going to the Palm Coast location from now on. Why new management would mess with a highly functioning and knowledgeable staff that knew their customers by name and ran the business in a smooth manner, I do not know. This is a busy location in St Augustine and the new management has ruined it. read more

I'm on my third pair of glasses from this establishment (beginning one year ago), so I thought it was time to send a review. From the beginning, they have shown an extremely high desire to satisfy me, letting me return a completed pair of glasses for an entirely new pair when I decided I didn't like the first pair I ordered. For this third pair, I supplied an old frame and they replaced the dark lenses. The person who fits you ("technician?") actually met me outside in the rear of the building, with a new case and paperwork, where I was waiting in a semi and made sure they still fit me and I could see, so I could keep rolling without blocking/holding up the flow of traffic! That's what I call customer service! read more

This is a busy location, but the staff are great and very pleasant to get along with. They really helped me pick glasses out that fit me well. The eye test that takes a picture of ur retina is really neat. Been seeing them for a few years now and always get top notch customer service. More selection for men would be better but they have way more than anyone else. Good luck. read more

I am irritated, frustrated and need a beer after visiting this establishment. Spent an hour and 10 minutes for a simple re-exam - not even a full one mind you. The doctor is abrasive and could use some fabric softener. Not one magazine available to distract my building irritation and since my phone was in the car recharging, I had no choice but to stare at the blue walls for nearly an hour. Unacceptable. read more

I've been coming to them a couple years now and they are great! They've expanded their shop in the last year and it is much bigger with a huge selection of frames. I have had my exams there and also purchased both regular glasses and sunglasses with progressive lenses. They offer discounts to those with no insurance, so no reason to avoid getting checked. You can also bring any frame you have in to be fitted with your prescription lenses. I have done this with both regular and sunglasses frames. Definitely worth a look if you need glasses ! read more

OMG! I will never come here again! In fact I've already had a call about setting up appt for this year but they won't see me again. First the waiting is too long to see the doctor while I waited I looked at different styles of glasses while being watched by a lady then once I let her see that I know she's watching then she offered to help me. And after that would leave me alone enough to think to myself which glasses I like. The doctor that you see is not the same doctor you may see on your follow up visit. The first doctor acted as if he was teaching a class and seemed like he didn't like questions. The follow up appt another doctor wasn't even sure of what was going on on my chart and she came up with a different prescription for me to try than the first one. Once I got my glasses something was terribly off but I couldn't put my finger on it. Because i could see but it felt as if I was in a fish bowl. After going back in numerous times a girl ...the only staff member that looked like she knew what she was doing and was kind noticed after checking that they were made inside out... Thus why I felt the fish bowl effect. My experience was too much to deal. I was without glasses for weeks. read more

Would give this place no stars if able. Took my daughter there for glasses over a month later ( was told 7-10 days max) calling every other day finally gave up. One day I just decided to call again this is at a month and 5 days. The lady answering the phone says yes their in but we didn't have your number anywhere to call you. Advised her that they asked for my number all 20 times I called to get status but no one wrote it down?????? She then says no apology just well do you want me to get the number in the file or not? If you have Humana as your medical provider, "My Eye Doctor" is the primary office you must deal with. They are under staffed, the waiting room is very small, noisy, seating is very limited. The doctor tells me every year my eye sight is worse, I have cataracts, floaters and can't read most of the letters correctly. I need cataract surgery. He states Humana will not cover the surgery unless I cannot read the "top line", which I can't. I believe they want you to return yearly just to purchase their outrages priced eyeglasses. I am looking for another source. I advise you to find another eye doctor as well. If not, GOOD LUCK! read more

This was my first visit there. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable especially when it came to insurance and lenses. The doctor was great. She was extremely thorough and explained the reasons for everything. Her assistant was awesome. She explained every step to make you feel comfortable. The store is somewhat small for there business. It should be larger. If you have a medical condition like a cervical fusion you should let them know before hand so they can help you decide what is best for you and not what is popular with others. read more

I called to set up a new client appointment on a Monday and they were able to get me in that Wednesday. Their office is not very large but it appears well maintained. They were very busy, but all the staff members were super nice to everyone and very respectful. I was brought in to see the doc on time, and I didn't feel at all rushed. An optician took time to chat with me afterwards about some eye concerns, even though I wasn't planning on purchasing glasses at that time. All very nice folks. read more

I had to find a new eye doctor for myself and my two school age children who were glasses. Our insurance changed and the provider we have used for 5 years is no longer on the list. I chose MyEyeDr because they were on both my medical plan and my vision plan. I needed to take my 10 yr old daughter for a medical exam due to a scratch to her eye. The office staff, technician, and optometrist were all very helpful, kind, and did a great job interacting with my 10 yr old. We look forward to scheduling her annual exam in the next few weeks. read more

Everyone from the receptionist, eye tech, doctor and the man that helped me pick out my glasses were all outstanding! The Manager exceeded my expectations taking care of a problem I had from another branch. You just don't find that kind of customer service anymore. I drove over an hour just to try their location.
