Here we go again, another company attempting to screw the customer/consumer! I went to this America's Best location to get new glasses and contact lenses, after having a bad experience at another Optometrists business. I explained to the associates at America's Best that the pervious business only put my prescription across the middle of my lenses. I could only see looking forward, not to either side or up or down. I truly thought I was going to have a wonderful experience at America's Best. After getting my glasses and contact lenses, I realized I was having issues focusing on things from a short, medium, and longer distance with my glasses and contact lenses. I contacted America's Best and they told me to bring both back in for a recheck. Ok, no problem, however why were they attempting to charge my insurance and me again for a recheck? I told them I was not going to pay for a recheck for something they got wrong. They did not charge me for a recheck, which was the right thing to do. The proper customer service you would expect from a company like this. Turns out, they got my glass lenses prescription and contact prescription wrong the first time, after rechecking me!! You would think, knowing they got both my prescriptions incorrect the first time, America's Best would do the right thing and fix their mistake!! Oh no, they wanted to have me give them the only pair of glass frames I have, leaving me only with the incorrect contacts to wear. Which I explained to them I cannot wear my contacts 24x7 jeopardizing my eye health. I explained to them after I take my contacts out, I would not be able to see without my glasses. I explained I did not have a pair of backups glasses. The America's Best associate told me I could us my new eye benefits to pay for the new frames, for the glass lenses they now need to order because they got my prescription wrong the first time! I explained to them I was not going to do that, nor would I pay out of my pocket for new frames, which was their other option. In what world do you get someone's glasses and contact prescription incorrect and then expect them to pay to correct that businesses poor quality controls and mess-ups??!! They told me the district manager will contact me because those options were the best they could do. This district manager has until EOB Friday, 2/27/26 to contact me and make this right! If this is going to be America's Best practices, I would advise everyone to stay away from them and take your business to an Optometrists business that cares about their customers and the quality of their work!! You could have given me a frame to make this right; frames are no more than $150.00 dollars! If this business wants to get bad publicity and experience litigation, which will cost them a lot more than a pair of $150.00 + frames, to correct their mistake to begin with, so be it! I have an attorney on standby, and I am prepared to start this process if I do not hear something back from the district manager to right this wrong by EOB Friday! The staff at America's Best were friendly, professional, and genuinely excited with me that I was getting my first set of Pair Eyewear glasses. I got the clear Casper base frame, and two sunglasses toppers from them. I have been getting more toppers to match my outfits--it's so much fun! I went back the next day so the staff could adjust the fit of the eyeglass stems, 5 minutes later, I was happily on my way home. (I don't know why the lower reviews on Yelp; America's Best has 4.6 stars from 249 Google reviews (including mine).) read more

I think people are forgetting they're shopping the McDonald's of eye glass stores. I bet they complain there also. ‍‍ I went in wanting to spend $69 and get 2 pairs of glasses. And that's exactly what I did. Are they gorgeous? Yes. I got name brand clearance glasses! Are the cheap ones nice? Absolutely! I just got lucky. An eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $69? ANYTIME. For those complaining get over your expectations and entitlements and realize this is all you. You can choose to go elsewhere and spend your hard earned money on GLASSES. ‍ read more

This place needs to be shut down they have no idea who is provider for insurance. I had appointment at 1:00 pm accident called customer care and told them I was 5 minutes away Dr left I had to wait 2 hours to see dr and they didn't even take insurance. Please inform your employees what they need to know and who they insurance. Crazy but friend as same exact insurance no problem do not call or even ask because nobody knows what they are doing worst service ever please try someone else read more

Absolutely check the work as you should anywhere you go. This being said it was such a wonderful experience all the ladies were very welcoming and inviting it was a breath of fresh air compared to other Americas best that I have been to. In fact I live by the one off of Atlantic and I was completely right in my thoughts and feels because the doctor at this current location said that my prescription had been messed up. I usually go to a location in Jax but this new one is closer to me so i decided to try it. When I first went in I was greeted, told to go sit down. Im sitting there...I see people come and go the dr and the tech walked by me several times didn't say anything. Finally I get up and ask the front desk what's going on? Come to find out they never sent my file back to be called. Im immediately like wow this is not good but you know hey things happen. So fast forward a week I call about my glasses and they tell me that my glasses arrived but something wasnt right about them so they 'put a rush on them' to be sent back and fixed. So im calling every other day or so another week and half goes by I call and someone answers the phone and Says 'Hey!' 'Yes we finally have your glasses in!' So I go in to pick up my glasses and low and behold they cannot find my glasses and they were never checked in. And nobody knew what to do or what happened. So now either my glasses were there and something happened to them or an employee lied to me and they never were and my glasses are just taking forever. This will definitely be my last time with Americas Best. Ive been getting glasses for over 20 years and ive never had an experience like this and i e definitely never had to wait this long. The staff here, as apparently posted once before, do not take other businesses into consideration or their customer base. There is always a black Honda SUV parked in front of Michael's, and as an individual that is handicapped, I seek spots closer to building. These staff members have consistently parked here as I shop at Michael's quite frequently and always see the same vehicles parked for what I can assume is most of the day. The inability to take charge of this situation shows how unprofessional this establishment is when they can't even get their staff to understand basic business etiquette, and will not recommend to ANYONE going to this place. If you can't give customers closer parking, how do you expect to give exceptional customer service? read more

I walked into America's Best feeling excited to pick up my glasses. Lynn greeted me and another customer at the door. When she walked away she said you can have a seat over here. I didn't know if she was talking to me or the guy behind me so I asked to make sure. She became sarcastic and said, "Well, didn't you just say you came to pick up your glasses?" I said yes but I have no way of knowing who you are speaking to. She had a very rude demeanor with me and I'm not going to say why I think she was acting this way. She was very nice to the guy that came after me thought. It was very obvious. Thankfully Robert assisted me. He was very kind and helpful, very positive spirit. When I was walking out, another representative said bye have a nice day. I said thank you you too. Lynn looks at me and starts laughing saying bye oh and by the way you skirt is flipped up you need to flip it down and is laughing at me as I'm walking out. I just said I'm good but you were very rude to me when I came in today. I left before things could get out of hand. Lynn knew I was not happy with her service because I asked for her name. So she decided to be petty on my way out. Today I did not feel like a valued customer at all and I get along with most people with no problem. read more
