Nice service (do ask if we need any water) . Food delicious. Clean restaurant . Will certainly come back when in area

It's been a very long time since I've been back here. My friend suddenly wanted fried chicken, and I remembered they have one I like: green onion chicken. It still tasted the same, but I should have ordered it boneless. We ordered the deep-fried whole squid, which tasted delicious. The steamed egg was all right, and we also had the chicken wings. The service was great; they were always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. The atmosphere was nice; I loved the light decorations, and the music in the background wasn't too loud.

The place is over decorated into a Sakura garden. Not sure if that is good or not, but look weird to me. The service was attentive and fast. It is more than expected for a Korean chicken restaurant. However, the food is not good at all. Given the many positive reviews, I was expecting the fried chicken would be crispy and tasty. What I got was a very oily fried chicken that is over battered with flour and not crispy. The inside of the chicken also not moist, making the swallow, chewing and the flavor became a poor experience. So, given they are giving out free drinks for review, many people might have left good reviews without ever tasting the food. Therefore, many reviews from Google are not reliable. Surprisingly, there is a very good Korean fried chicken restaurant nearby that is less busy than here. I think more people should go to places with good food and good service instead. Therefore, leaving fake reviews is just bad practice that would hurt us, the consumers.

YUM YUM YUM! When arriving at the restaurant it was about 75% full on a Thursday night. Was greeted and seated quickly by the servers. It's a little dim in this location but it was nice that they had lots of televisions around that were playing k-pop in the back (BTS!). After looking at the menu and placing our orders, they placed complimentary pickled radish and pretzel sticks at our table to snack on. When asked about which fries to get on the menu, the server highly recommended the kimchi fries. FOOD: Kimchi fries 7/10 Although this was recommended by the server I felt a bit upsold on this item, as it was the most expensive fries on the menu (haha!). It lacked a lot of kimchi, only a few tiny cut up pieces were found. Had a lot of white sauce doused on top, I was so sure it was ranch, but the server told me it was mayo. Definitely not any of the thick types of mayo though as the sauce was quite runny. I didn't really enjoy that the mayo was so cold when topped on the piping hot fries as it made my food really cold really quickly. Rice with seaweed and roe 7.5/10 Solely comparing this to other locations (because I LOVE this stuff), it lacked some flavour to it and was quite dry. The seaweed that they used really dried up the rice and didn't have enough sauce to this. Would've been better if there was more sesame oil to top the dish. Fried chicken with green onions 8/10 Even as someone who does not enjoy wasabi that much, this was quite delicious. To our surprise the sauce that was topping this dish had a very pungent wasabi taste to it, it was not written on the menu or expected. However, it was quite delicious, and I can see that if you love wasabi, you would probably love this chicken. The large portion was generous and topped with a lot of green onion - YUM! Honey garlic fried chicken 10/10 The star of the show for me! This was absolutely delicious and what makes me want to come back asap! It came perfectly fried, perfectly sauced and the bonus was the few deep fried tteokbokki that it also came with. It was amazingly chewy, crispy on the outside and had the flavours of the honey garlic. It also had three fried potato wedges - not sure if it was meant to be in there or not. The fried chicken here overall is super juicy and has large portions which is so great. I can't wait to come back to try additional chicken flavours!

Location/Service This place is located by Yonge and Clark - within the same plaza as Cho Sun Ok. Parking is available all around and can expand to the plaza next door if it's full. Inside is very spacious and good with lightning - great for large or family groups. Service was okay, at the time we went (which was maybe around 3-4pm), they only had 1 staff on duty so it was a little closer than usual. But still very nice and appreciate the odd huge order that was placed at this odd time. Food Similar to their Sheppard location, their Korean Fried Chicken is very consistent and I love how there are many different flavours to choose from. My go to is the Honey Garlic flavour, the Garlic & Soy is also great. Of course pairing it up with beer, if you like, is a good choice - their combo setup for this is affordable and definitely sharable between groups of 4-5. Also tried their appetizers/snacks - I like the Toppoki and Seafood Pancake. It's pretty standard of ingredients and cooking style at any Korean place - but very comforting and addictive. Overall, I like how there's a closer KFC nearby Yonge and Steeles - so it's easier for the residential area nearby. They also have a bigger space that's great for game night.

My oh my! If you love fried things, and chicken...this is the place for you! They have a few locations but the Thornhill one is bigger and has a good size parking lot. We ordered squid, takoyaki, and 3 kinds of chicken - spicy, soy garlic, and onion. The spicy wasn't spicy at all and was saucy (I personally don't like overly saucy foods), but I really enjoyed the soy garlic and the onion (the mounds of green onions on top is definitely calling for a breath mint afterwards lol). All the chicken was well prepared and hot, the takoyaki was delicious Service was really friendly and polite . And by the time we left, the place was hopping hopping! If you like fried things, definitely give this spot a try!

A great location! We've been to this place before at a different location but discovered they had one a little bit closer to home. We got seated pretty quickly. We had a hard time choosing because there were so many good options. Ended up getting one classic flavor and one traditional flavor. Loved both and would live to try all the others!

Who doesn't like Korean Fried Chicken? This location is a bit bigger than the one further down the road near Shepard. We had a group and ordered a bunch of things. From the squid, to takoyaki to the variety of chickens. If it could be fried, we basically had it. All tasty, service was good.

I haven't had too much Korean Fried Chicken but MyMy Chicken did not disappoint! After seating us we were given a free side of popcorn and radish. When we finished the popcorn they asked us if we would like a refill. We ordered half-half of the gold cheese chicken and the green onion chicken. We also ordered a side of fries and some drinks. The gold cheese chicken was ok, nothing special as it just tasted like chicken with cheese on top. The green onion chicken was very tasty and was actually topped with lots of green onion! The fries were normal and kind of pricey. Will come back again to try their other flavours and sides!

Small padak (fried chicken with green onion)

So happy to have Korean fried chicken again fresh from the restaurant! Came here and sat on their patio which is a tent so it's covered and protected from the elements. There was ample spacing between the tables which I appreciated since I've seen some pretty crowded patios lately. We had called and made a reservation earlier in the week. Their chicken was yummy as usual. I got their boneless soy garlic and boneless padak. The chicken pieces were really big! The padak sauce has a slight horseradish taste which cuts the typical oiliness of fried chicken. Also tried their cheese balls and fried chicken skin this time. I personally wouldn't order these again because I found them too heavy (my friends wanted to try). You can do a cheese pull with the cheese balls and they're a good size - like the sesame balls from dimsum. The chicken size comes with a sweet chilli sauce that helps cut the heaviness down.

Half and half seasoned spicy and golden cheese

My friends and I were craving Korean Fried Chicken and ordered takeout. I put my order in the night before so that it could be picked up soon after the restaurant opened the next day. My order was ready when I got there. After confirming my telephone number I was told that we were given a complimentary order of fried dumplings. I was very appreciative of the nice gesture. The container for the fries had holes cut into it to prevent the fries from getting soggy. The aroma of the fried chicken in the car was bordering on torturous. The scent was amazing. The golden cheese chicken had a good amount of melted cheese and the seasoned spicy wasn't that spicy. However, if you dipped your chicken into the sauce you could definitely taste the spiciness. The radishes were a good palate cleanser and the fries nice and crispy.

[Review was based on experience weeks ago] I think Mymy is one of the best KFC places in Toronto and I am glad that there are multiple locations of this branch here. I have tried a few of their flavors already and for this particular location, I ordered the honey garlic chicken. There was a wait even though we were the only ones at that time but we went when it just opened for the day. The chicken came out hot and it was so delicious. The dduk paired very well with the chicken and that the sauce was amazing as it wasn't too sweet! I'd say it was a good portion for two people although it is on the pricer side.

Tried the Green Onion, Soya Garlic and Spicy chicken this time. Green Onion version is interesting with a Wasabi sauce, not too spicy but the Wasabi taste is there. I ordered bone-in, but got bone-less chicken instead, communication issues, but was still good.

KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and Beer. Happy Chimaek!!!

We were lured in through some mail in ads that showcased their daily specials. which are pretty great. When we were there it was $15 for a burger with a side and a pint of beer or $2 less for pop. We each got one of those and ordered a lb of wings to share as well. They serve wings in the original format which is less breaded and the breaded version is bigger and more crispy and maybe caloric. We opted original for the wings and fries. For our burgers, we went for veggie sticks and an upgraded bowl of salad to balance out the meal. I'm just surprised that the greens were super fresh for a bar. I'm so used to crappy old salads from a pubs. Burgers were nice and juicy. Wings are as consistent as I last remembered it. The server even allowed me to customize a sauce blend because it wasn't too busy that night. We even peeked at their drink menu and cocktails are like only $8 something and it's regular price. Overall great experience.

I have known about this Jollibee location at Promenade Mall for a while. I finally got around to visiting it on Monday after work, which completed my visiting Jollibee locations in the suburbs of Toronto. I like this Jollibee. It's by mall entrance 2. You have access to this eatery from the mall or through its own entrance when the mall is closed. Most Jollibee restaurants have washrooms with a numeric code that you need to use to unlock it. This one does not have this code, which is nice to not bug staff for the special code. I used the washroom before I left. It was decent. You press a button to lock the door and press the larger button to unlock it. I spent a bit of time at the mall. I worked up an appetite and headed over to Jollibee for a bite to eat. It's across from Firehouse Subs, which I'd like to visit someday. I walked through the mall entrance to get here. The downside to looking at the menu is that there's so much that I want. My usual is often not listed right off the bat. I have to wait for the screen to change to see it. I got a nice man at the counter who greeted me and took my order: - Two-piece burger steak - Adobo rice - Peach mango pie - Pineapple quencher I got my Jollibee rewards QR code scanned. I then paid with a credit card. I tapped, but didn't see that the credit card had prompted me for my PIN. It was incredibly random! I got my pineapple quencher. I love this drink so much. It is sweet. I'm glad that I don't have it regularly, so it ends up being a treat. The pineapple is so good. It's also icy cold. I got a buzzer to let me know when my food would be ready. I found a table and sat there, sipping my drink and people-watching. My order was number 19. The buzzer had 19 on in. It buzzed and lit up like I had won the lottery. It was kind of true. I was fetching my winnings in the form of dinner. I thanked another man at the counter who had my order nicely presented on a tray. I then headed back to my table to eat. I find the two-piece burger steak to be comforting. It's so good with sliced mushrooms and gravy. Adobo rice was new, so I went for it. It was flavourful. I hope it stays on the menu, as it's a fancy step up from the plain steamed rice! I mixed the adobo rice with the mushroom gravy. It was fantastic! I capped my meal off with a peach mango pie. It was excellent. There was plenty of fruit filling. The pie was crispy and hot. Yum! Before I left, I filled my empty cup with Diet Pepsi. I still don't know if I should be doing this fill-up, but I run out of pineapple quencher quickly that I genuinely need another drink. Maybe I need to suggest a larger quencher cup size, but I'd be on a massive sugar high than I already have with the current cup size. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've been here. Staff were helpful and great. The food and drink were yummy. I'll be back soon. (224)

These chewy goodness never got old, and I could have easily eaten the entire order myself. It was the perfect way to start the meal. Pelicana Fried Chicken Boneless Large (Half): These two-bite boneless chicken pieces had a thin, crispy, and well-seasoned batter. They were juicy inside, and each piece was perfectly cooked. I loved how every bite balanced texture and flavour. Pelicana Signature Chicken Boneless Large (Half): The other half of our order featured the same crispy chicken, but this time tossed in a sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy sauce. The sauce was generously applied, enhancing the already flavourful chicken. The balance of sauce, batter, and meat was spot on. Snow Fries: A great side to complement the chicken. The fries were crispy and topped with a sweet, cheesy powder. However, the seasoning wasn't evenly distributed, so the fries at the bottom didn't get much flavour. I ended up dipping them in the signature sauce, and it worked out perfectly. In terms of value, while the quality justified the price, I felt the portions could have been more generous. Staff were talking to one another when I walked in. I was the lone customer. I realized why staff were huddled around. The young woman who took my order was new. She had support around here. Nice! The new staffer said that the combo gives you a side and a super combo gives you two sides. I ordered the three fish tenders combo. I wanted macaroni salad as my side. The woman staffer said that I wanted fries. The man had heard me say macaroni salad. This interaction alone already made me think that my order was going to be screwed up. I was right. I ate them without my sweet and sour sauce. Staff forgot to give me some. I read the combo deal online. It's supposed to come with a biscuit. I never got one. The macaroni salad was yummy. The macaroni was al dente. It was flavourful. Maybe I'll order through a mobile app next time and see if my order is accurate. I don't fault the young woman who was learning everything. It's a combination of being trained by more senior staff who have a few issues to resolve. The woman staffer who was supporting the new one should have been better at listening to my answers to her questions and holding a higher service standard. Staff can unlock the door remotely. For years, I backroad it home from work. I pass by Centerpoint Mall and rarely drop by. I just haven't had a need to be there. I have mini goals. One of them is to visit every Jollibee in the greater Toronto area. I had this goal in Winnipeg, which was easier to achieve with three locations. I knocked this Jollibee at the mall off my list last Wednesday. I came here after work. This eatery has a separate entrance from the mall. It makes sense that if the mall is closed, you can still get your Jollibee fix. Mall entrance 6 is next door. It was a bit sad to see Pickle Barrel gone. It was the last time I dined at this mall, which would have been next door from Jollibee. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I found a parking spot in the middle of the lot. I backed into the spot and walked over to the eatery. This Jollibee has patio seating in the summertime. I walked in and there was a bit of a lineup. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted to eat. At Jollibee, I do have a regular order. However, I wasn't that hungry, so I didn't go with a side order of spaghetti. It hurt a bit, but I'll be back for some soon. I got Alyanna at the order area. She was friendly and patient with me. I got these items: - Two burger steaks with steamed rice - Pineapple quencher - Peach mango pie I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She gave me a receipt with my order number. I waited patiently for my order. It didn't take long. I forgot to get my rewards QR code scanned. I realized when I got home that the app allows you to claim it with the special long code on the receipt. The app is glitchy. I entered the code and got an error. I did it again and it said that I had redeemed the code. So confusing! It turns out that my first attempt took and I got my reward points. Yay! The error code needs to be fixed, as it's misleading. Anyway, my order number was called out. I approached the counter. Another woman made sure that my order was correct and then handed me my tray, as I had mentioned that I'd be dining in. I thanked her and went to find a spot to sit down and eat. There are tables and seats. It was busy at this hour, but I found a table towards the restaurant's mall entrance. When I exited the mall to shop, I noticed that there are more seats to sit down and eat. I'll start with the pineapple quencher. It was sweet, but yummy. I always find that I go through this drink fast. I end up getting a refill of Diet Pepsi. I did that once while enjoying my meal. Just before I headed out, I filled it up again. My go-to meal is the two burger steaks. I love the mushroom sauce that I mix with steamed rice. It's so comforting. I love the sliced mushrooms, the sauce, and the yummy burger steaks with perfectly steamed rice. It's my favourite dish. I had a peach mango pie for dessert. It was crispy with a lot of peach mango filling. It was excellent. I needed to use the washroom. It required a code to unlock it. I went over to the order counter and asked another female staffer if I could get the code. She said that she could unlock the women's washroom from where she was and I could head over there. Well, another female staffer had made her way over to the washroom and used the single stall first. When she exited, I got to use it. It was clean and spacious. No complains. Some folks will say that eating at Jollibee is expensive. My meal was $20 after taxes. I'd say that it can be expensive. However, I don't eat here often and I'm at peace splurging when I do crave Jollibee. I'd return here for more good eats. It's a good stop between the office and home to grab a bite and relax. (155)

A bit pricey compared to other fast food chicken chains, but I think their pieces are bigger. I love that their spicy actually means spicy! There's really a good level of heat if you get their spicy chicken. Their gravy portions are generous too.

However, because of the limitation, those diners probably haven't tried many top spots for comparison in reviews. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my meal. We ordered the burger (the Ringer), onion rings, Southern fried chicken and coleslaw. The standout has to be their onion rings, probably the BEST onion rings I've ever had. The onion rings are huge and super crispy. The coleslaw is well-executed: tangy and not too much mayo, just how I like it. It complimented our fried meal well. I would love to try their hand-cut fries next time. The mains are decent too, and I would gladly have it again. They have an assortment of toppings for the burger, including sauerkraut, but we kept it simple this time with lettuce and pickles. The fried chicken is good though I can't say it's better than the original famous Southern fried chicken I had in Savannah, Georgia, a few months back. They provided a combination of 2 dark meat and 1 white meat piece. I'm thankful that I got to try fried white meat chicken. However, I prefer my fried chicken all dark meat like most places but it's extra to request it here. Staff is nice. We ordered a drink to share but they also offered a small cup so I can refill something else in the fountain if I wanted. A bit pricey, $10.99 for 2pc fried chicken and $15.99 for the burger not including sides. But such is with inflation. I guess I'll just have to catch them for their specials. I think I saw on the board a Shabbat special! Does that mean Friday evening through to Saturday? Is it only for Jewish folks? I want in on that Shabbat deal. It was a Sunday when I was there... I'm curious so would ask next time if I'm back. I could also see others not feeling right to ask if they don't practice the tradition of Shabbat.

Sheli's is legit, as I have travelled all over North America and ate at of some of the most established Fried Chicken joints America has to offer. Some Examples are Hattie B's in Nashville, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Memphis, Sams Fried Chicken and Donuts in Houston and The Red Yeti in Jeffersonville IN. I've had some good Fried Chicken and Southern Style foods. Sheli's is no exception, I found the place purely by Fluke after picking up my kids from a birthday party in the plaza. I saw the sign, I saw the crowd, and I saw all the Kippahs so I was curious. Low and Behold, little did I know that Thornhill has its own Southern-Style fried chicken joint. Sheli's has gone so far as to keep it Kosher but keep it as Southern Style as possible with its pressure cooked chicken and other items. I spoke to the guy at the counter who although busy, was more than happy to share the history and the concept of Sheli's. Based on his recommendation we got an order of Home Cut Fries, a helping of Popcorn Chicken and I personally tried the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. We loved everything we got, the fries were very good, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was out of this world. I have been back a few times with friends to try the Burgers, Beef bacon and the fried chicken. I have to say the food is top-notch, take from a guy whose been around, Sheli's is legit!!
