Whether Owner or Tenant - I emphatically suggest going with another agency at this time. Positives: They have a great app and online portal. Unfortunately everything else is subpar. I believe they were much better back in 2021, but have been on a downward spiral since then Negatives: Too many to name so I will be concise, not trust worthy, lack of ownership (which is surprising considering they are property managment), lack of transparency especially for owners (I have started to question if my dollars are being ripped off). TURN PROCESSES, these are their Achilles heal, as an owner its the most painful process to get them to streamline this experience, I would assume the same is true based on reading tenants experiences here. Tenants here are complaining of unclean homes at move in, and I am here as an owner to tell you all we paid for them to do it but it appears in some instances they perform lack luster jobs or don't hold the contractors accountable for quality of work. I think any company can improve over time if they listen to their clients and who they provide services to, at this time it seems like Mynd needs to go through a deep dive on improving their model, what they do really well in automation and tech, puts them out of reach with the actual service and assets they manage in my opinion read more

Lack of communication, rude/inconsiderate when they do. Lots of hidden fees, failure to repair or maintain properties. Sent an eviction notice by this company for a lease violation that wasn't true, no apology or anything. When they need something they need it now, but won't answer their phone or email during business hours. Rent goes up every year and generally awful to deal with. AC has been broken 18 days and keep getting ghosted by the company. read more

Horrible services, doesn't matter if there is an emergency you have to go though their process to get anyone to come out and at least look at it's. I sent them the model and year of washer and took them a week to get someone to look at it just to say yes you need a new one and another two weeks to get it put in the apartment. Poor service and process. They scam tenants to make them pay as much as possible after deposit. This company and the management is horrible with taking care of the issues of their tenants. We've been without an air vent door and an air filter in our house (where they raised the rent $200 month on us) since April. They keep scheduling to get someone to fix it, I keep taking time off from work to wait for them and nobody shows up. This is 5-6 times now! So rude! The hallway has a big hole in the ceiling (looks horrible) and we have been without a filter right through allergy season and my daughter had been sick non stop. The overall service is bad. You have to send a message to your Resident manager via the app. There is no phone number to call for immediate issues. The phone number they provide goes to a call center in India. Additionally, we are vacating our house early due to work and we have a family who wants to take over the lease. You think they would just process the other family so it's a smooth transition. But no, they said the family cannot apply until the house is on the market. This means I have to pay two houses until they are able to fulfill the lease. For me, it's the principal of us finding a solution for them, and they are not taking us up on it. If you want another company who deals in call centers and isn't responsive, this one's for you. read more

Took 30 minutes to get ahold of someone to inquire about a property. Guessing by multiple interactions, their customer support is not based in the United States. Finally was able to get a tour of the property scheduled. Upon arriving, we followed the instructions to gain access to the property (your dealing with a self proclaimed leader in tech), and the instructions failed. I'm a software engineer, so I consider myself a tech capable person. They included a "chat" feature. Again, the person on the other end of the chat wasn't a native English speaker and struggled to understand our problem. Meanwhile a phone number popped up on the lock box and I called that as well. The chat was not well designed for mobile and provided a poor user interface. Having to flip your phone sideways to type and then back to portrait to read replies. The chat was not helpful to resolve our issue. Meanwhile, it's 90* in Sparks and we've been outside with our toddler for 30 minutes at this point. When someone finally answered the phone, they told us the number we received, that we got "Code Error Try Again", should have worked. We tried it again. And after 30 mins we left. If this is how the tour process works, not only are they tech disabled, they no doubt are entirely unhelpful when it would come to real issues you would experience with the home. We had no heat for more than 4 days and it was winter...... the response time is so bad. They will take all of your deposit for lies. You can't get ahold of anyone for anything it's a huge company that have people with no knowledge of what is going on and they always tell you "we will get back to you asap" and they NEVER DO. Customer service, I had to wait months to get hot water in my bathroom and after all this time never got an answer back or even a compensation for all time and money wasted for the time I couldn't stay at the rental property they manage, even paid a month late to force them to start working on the repairs and in response I got a late fee that never got removed and my credit got affected. I am going on here, once again to warn people against doing business here if you can. We are dealing with a situation that has been going on since the middle of January. Getting told that they are working on the issue and that we will get a call back, only to have it not followed through once again. Already filed a BBB complaint and heading over to our local environment office to see how to mold and leaks are to be handled. The repairs were fixed by putting a "band-aid" on it and hope that it turns out well. They keep blaming it on the owner. The communication with this company is atrocious. The company is trying to say they owe full month's rent when they were displaced for 2 weeks and now, they are dealing with the aftermath of the band-aid repairs. NOW, they are supposedly replacing the pad and carpet in the whole room, which should have been done in the first place!!! However, once again, communication is basically non-existent. I received a call from Forrest regarding a leak into a property he manages. He was rude and dismissive. He said "Typically the leak will be from your shower drain." I asked "Typically?? Do you manage other units in this building or neighborhood??" I explained my initial was half on the one downstairs and another unit covers the other half. I have been a landlord since 2004. I have learned to not use words such as typical or standard. But the most important thing I learned is to not sit in an office and pretend to be a plumber. I actually drive to the unit and LOOK where the water damage is. But then I went to a bad school in CA with a strong 2.1 GPA. I moved out july 31st of this year after renting from MYND corporation for nearly 3 years. I received the statement of what they were withholding from my security deposit and was shocked! I immediately reached out to Anita, Karina and Forrest who I have had contact with and no one has returned my call or emailed me back. I have called and emailed 2 times a day for a week. I simply wanted clarification on why over 450.00 was being withheld for items that should not have been. Not only that but it's the 31st and I haven't even received any of my deposit back. MYND was responsive while I lived there however, now that I am not...crickets! I was hoping to resolve this with good faith rather than small claims court. read more

I've been renting from this location for 4 years no issue. Mynd comes in and loses my autopay info then threatens to evict me the next month with no notice. The company is impossible to contact. Everything is through portal, not sure that you can even talk to a person. Waited on their call system for 4 hours then they dropped call. Avoid Mynd at all costs. read more

I like that everything was done online including a quick approval process. But when we moved in our oven didn't work...be here for 3 weeks and it is still not fixed. They sent someone out to take pictures and to report back. We have had no follow up and ticket just says its processing. Communication also could have been better. Every time we have contact with them it's a different person. Would be helpful to talk to the same person so they know what is going on. read more

Horrible experience. Never saw a human the whole time - the house had drawing on the walls, holes in the walls never filled or painted, back yard was a disaster, fence was broken large bare dirt spots in front and back yards. Landscaping was a disaster. Carpets were not cleaned as I was promised, stove was dirty, when keys were left in lock box. So I go take it upon myself to clean the house trim all shrubs and trees, fix the lawn, clean the carpets - and when I move out they keep the $1800 deposit and give me a bill for $1100 - I was told 'that is just an estimate if the house needs things done, not a bill' - almost a year later after no return coorespondence - they send the $1100 to a collection agency and block my emails - I was never vulgar or inappropiate - just stated facts. I am continuing with the owner if anyone else has experienced this reach out - seems to be a poor company to do business with - avoid avoid avoid! Not to mention good luck getting repairs to major appliances a few times were okay and other times you'll be waiting weeks for heat or air. read more

This company false advertised a property in Reno, Nevada as it is in Georgia. GEORGIA. We did an application and all the way through you are thinking it's for one property when it really was for another. Then you put the application in after paying fees and THEN it tells you the property you applied for and I sat there saying what. the. heck. I double and triple checked what I clicked on and even on the signed application it has Reno, Nevada. After paying it swapped to Georgia and I got instantly denied. This to me is false advertising and fraudulent. Then you call them and they can't give an answer. I ask for manager and NOTHING. Biggest scam and sham of a company Ive ever dealt with.
