This was one of the VERY BEST meals we've ever had shipped across the country to us here in the Las Vegas desert! The Clam Shack absolutely surpassed our expectations from start to finish. The lobster was phenomenal: fresh, tender, flavorful, and not overly salty, with absolutely no unpleasant aftertaste. It genuinely made our taste buds jump for JOY! Even the gluten-free buns were a huge surprise, excellent quality and absolutely delicious. What really set this experience apart was the attention to detail. Everything arrived beautifully presented with complete preparation instructions, homemade mayo, butter, an actual Maine lemon, napkins, and even plastic forks. They thought of everything. From the packaging and delivery to the preparation and, most importantly, the incredible taste, the entire experience was top-notch. We honestly felt like Goldbelly + Clam Shack VIPs! If you're considering ordering, DO IT. We highly recommend The Clam Shack and will absolutely be ordering again. Five stars simply aren't enough!

Some shopping and a few bits along the way. We weren't completely full for dinner but wanted the party to go on. I snagged a reservation at Hurricane and we were seated shortly after getting a round of drinks from the bar. My wife had her go to cocktail "A slightly Dirty Martini" while I opted for the citrusy Hemingway. Once seated we poured over the menu and couldn't make up our minds but our server was awesome. We weren't rushed and each passing visit continued the conversation with her about our trip, our day, our experience, and Kennebunkport content in general. At long last we simply decided to get two rounds of fresh oysters that were to absolutely die for as our meal. The snacking had taken its toll or my wife would have annihilated a 2 lb Maine Lobster on her own. I had some local Maine craft beers to go with the light fare and had to order the "Affogato" for desert. It simply called my name. The Hurricane offered a great atmosphere that was still somewhat hopping shortly before the clock suggested it was closing time. As we exited and walked over to our hotel for the last night before heading home, we found the usually crowded streets of the sea town barren and that offered some time for reflection on a great evening that was had by all.

Our waitress Seanna was the best waitress I've experienced in a very long time. I'm a NYer and my dining experience bar is high. Well she nailed it. Plus the Manager accommodated us as I was 1/2 hour early and she sat us in a quiet area of a very loud restaurant. Again, no complaints about the food, but the service was exceptional!

"Take me to the pilot, lead me through the chamber Take me…read moreto the pilot, I am but a stranger" (Elton John) Our convention committee was in town celebrating last summer's successful event after years of planning. Five of us headed for lovely Kennebunkport, but where should we meet for lunch? Choosing a lunch spot could've taken all afternoon, but a trusted local steered us toward the Pilot House. So that's where we met up -- and it ended up being a terrific lunch. It has a scenic location in a harbor on the Kennebunk River, where the whole waterfront is dotted with boats. The big dining room is equally pretty with colorful nautical flags covering the ceiling and maritime décor everywhere. Pilot House was packed, I mean pretty much every table and every barstool, but after a short wait a table opened up for us. Our server, Carley was great- with a super nice attitude and quick water glass delivery. Pilot House's menu has plenty of seafood options among its appetizers, soups, salads, baskets, sandwiches, and entrees. I went with their Fish Tacos ($19) - "Golden fried haddock, red cabbage slaw, queso fresco & house made candied jalapeño aioli. Served on flour tortillas". I asked Carley if I could get the fish grilled instead of fried, and that was no problem. I loved the tacos; the fish was plentiful, flaky and tender and that jalapeño aioli was excellent. One of the other meals at our table included an interesting one. Ever hear of a Haddock Reuben? It was $21.00 for a marble rye sandwich with fried haddock, coleslaw, 1000 Island & Swiss cheese. Not a morsel was left behind. Two of us went with a Fried Baby Shrimp Basket ($24), a huge feast of golden fried baby shrimp, French fries, coleslaw & cocktail sauce. We were seated in the far-right side of the dining room by a bank of windows, and I noticed what looked like a huge yacht connected to the restaurant by a walkway. Turns out there is a restaurant bar up there. I so wanted to scoot up there for a few photos, but it wasn't open for the season yet. Oh well, maybe next time. Just another reason to visit the Pilot Hose because the food and dining experience were top-notch.

Our waitress was hands down amazing, because when my mom asked for water, she remembered that she didn't get ice and asked her she wanted ice in her water, which I thought was such a thing to remember. My mom got the taste of maine. The only thing that I think she would have changed is the clam chowder had a lot of potatoes in it.i think she wish it had more clams. But overall it was great

Both were exactly as we had hoped. The free valet parking was also a bonus. Regarding the actual food, for new it was a Greek Salad with grilled chicken and my dinner partner had the lobster roll. The salad was just a salad, the lettuce was not the freshest and the dressing was sparse, but the chicken was well grilled and juicy. My friend said the lobster roll was good as it did not have large chucks of celery, and the flavor of the lobster was good. She said she has had better and she had worse. Again, if though want pubs food with a drink and a great view, this is the spot. If you are seeking a great and flavorful meal, I would look elsewhere.
