I am here for their student guest weeks, and I have taken their cycling and yoga classes before. Having a location on the northside of campus does work well with accessibility, and I like that they are having this studio have more variety as well, including hot yoga, yoga, barre, boxing, and cycling classes. The structure is not too different from 121, and their amenities are nice for taking a shower before heading to work or class with complimentary towelettes and free towels/shampoo/lotion to use.

We located daybreak in downtown Bedford and they had a great Groupon deal! Surprise surprise! When we arrived I found out the owner and teacher was my high school librarian dawn rivers.. after my first class I was hooked! I'm not someone who is incredibly flexible and have always had issues with my hips and legs. Daybreak has been a savior for me. Every week the classes have been something to look forward too. From the warm environment, wonderful teachers and the bond I've built with the other students, I will be a yogi for life!! I'm so grateful to dawn and her team of teachers for opening me up to such a wonderful experience. Her motto is ANYONE can do yoga! And it's so true. The instructors I've had have all been great at providing cues and variations of poses for different levels. I really like that their classes aren't too crowded - you'll have enough space to move around without worry about hitting your neighbor. Once you get into the flow, the class flies by so fast, and I always end the class feeling refreshed and like I got a good workout in. I also love the cool towels that they give you at the end of the class! The studio itself is spacious and clean. I definitely recommend checking out Power Yoga Collective if you're looking for a yoga studio, and I'm hoping to become more of a regular myself. I would just make sure you arrive a little bit early so you have time to find parking and hydrate well before class!

Approximately 9 people plus the instructor attended the class and it appears that I was the newbie of a tight knit group, however the class and Erin welcomed me openly. Though I am relatively new to studio classes, having developed most of my yoga skills via dvds, the instruction was spot on and could be adapted to someone just developing yoga skills or to the more advanced and well practiced. I would definitely attend this studio again and if this was my home neighborhood it would be my studio of choice. After class Erin engaged me in conversation sharing a link to my hometown and when I mentioned I was attempting to expand my knowledge of yoga and explore more types of classes she recommended other options for me. I also happened to mention I plan on spending a week in the OC, CA area in September and she encouraged me to attend some of the studios there that she had great experiences with. This has been one of the best yoga experiences I have had to date.

It reaches deeper to work your nervous system, open joints, strengthen your core ( more than any other exercise - I've tried it all ). I believe this is the former Vision Yoga space (however, I never attended a class there, so I can't compare the two). What I can tell you is that Sara continues to make renovations and cosmetic improvements to the space, so if you visit, it will probably feel quite different. She takes a lot of pride in the space and the atmosphere. If you're visiting Lakewood Yoga, I cannot stress enough LEAVING EARLY FOR CLASS. They do not have a private parking lot. Parking is on the surrounding streets via parallel parking and meters. The classes are still running large in numbers so nearby parking will fill up fast. I also encourage you to get there early to get a good spot physically in the class (at least right now while it's still brand new and wildly popular) because it will get tight if you show up late. What I respect so deeply about Lakewood Yoga is the variety of classes. I am a person that only practices specific types of yoga, and Lakewood Yoga certainly has that variety. You will find vinyasa, power, yin, gentle, hatha, prenatal, and even family yoga! They have multiple classes every day so you can always find something that you're looking for. The environment is very non judgemental and supportive. With so few yoga studios in Lakewood, Lakewood Yoga is trailblazing!
