New to yoga? You are welcome here. Experienced yogi warrior? You are welcome here. This studio is…read moreby far my favorite yoga studio. I have visited multiple yoga studios and my heart always leads me back here. This place is like home to me. The moment you walk in, you will feel comfortable and welcome. I started practicing here a couple years ago when they first opened. I was fairly new to yoga, especially Baptiste yoga. The instructors are absolutely amazing here. So personable and you know they love what they do. That energy rubs off on you as well. Rachel and Kat are my favorite instructors. They are fabulous teachers who always push you to your "edge". They believe in you in times that you don't believe in yourself. Very motivating and always willing to assist or correct your form. Kelsey and Halley are also great teachers. They have added new teachers but I have not attended their classes yet. This is the first and only studio where the instructors really get to know you and welcome you back by name when you come back. This studio is a hot studio. Heat not your thing? There are classes that do not have heat. I believe the Slow Flow classes do not have heat which are usually held in the morning. There are beginner/basic classes and advanced yoga classes. The Power Yoga classes get pretty intense but you can modify the poses to your capability. The instructors will assist with that. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower. Towels are included. There are hair ties and bobby pins available for use and Lotions/sprays. There are cubby holes and coat racks to put your belongings in. Before you enter the yoga room, there are straps/blocks available and towels (be sure to grab one for a hot yoga class, you will sweat!). I love their yoga room. Huge room with high ceilings. It is a little harder to get the room hot but you will be moving so it will come quickly. I like the room because I feel like I have my own space. I love my space. I don't like to feel as if Im stacked on top of the person next to me. I have room to stretch out and flow freely. During savasana at the end of your flow, they offer a cold towel with essential oils/fragrance which is a very nice touch at the end of an intense hot class. I love the yoga flow sequences that the instructors give. They all hit the main poses and will push you to your edge to attempt other poses/inversions that you may not be familiar with. Just practice. Practice practice practice. You can do it! It took me forever to do a headstand, still working on a handstand. It just takes a lot of body strength, especially that core! Work the abs! I need to work on my shoulder strength. I have so much more flexibility now. I shocked my own self. Enough about me. Classes are held 7 days a week except some holidays. Classes start at 6 am till 7 or 8 at night (except Sundays). Their are workshops and fun events offered for an additional price. There are different class packages for purchase that best fit your schedule or just buy a drop-in class. If you are a new student, they offer special deals for you. 20$ for one week unlimited or one month unlimited for 59$. Cleveland Yoga is a local franchise but I absolutely love this location. Its closer to home and I love feeling so welcome every time I come here. I strongly urge you to check it out. New or experienced yogis I have no doubt you will love it as much as I do. Love you Cleveland Yoga Concord!!

We'd heard positive stuff about the many health benefits (sinuses, insomnia, and ear infections, to name a few) and decided to try it - I researched and found this place was the highest rated. Seriously relaxing. The cave is clean and cozy, and very comfortable. We felt de-stressed and really enjoyed/appreciated it. Afterwards, we were shown around by the owner (wonderful owners and wonderful staff!). We even got to try out the aqua massage - I can't explain how cool this was. We decided to add another service to extend our time here - the salt booth. Smaller than the cave and very intense. It helped us both with our sinus issues. Can't wait to go back and try the float pod next! It was reasonably priced and worth the drive from the west side! Can't wait to return!

BUT Beware of their return policy.... It basically leaves no room for an actual return. I have been enjoying the mat at home. I wanted to unwind so booked the Soft Aerial Yoga class with Samantha Sycz. It was indeed soft. Very slow. Like just hanging out in a hammock. So when I was face down in the hammock, I had to take off my BRAND-new glasses--first pair in three years, bought in California. Welp, Sam full-on stepped on them. I heard the crunch. WTF. One arm was at a 45-degree angle. I tried to keep my zen and continue. Could not. Sam told me to go to the front desk. Halle gave me that saccharine-sweet runaround that drives me NUTS, insisting on my phone number and refusing to take any responsibility, saying I would hear the next day. "But pleeeease text me when you get home safely." Um, okay, not necessary. Let's deal with the glasses. I then got an incredibly long gaslighting email about how it was my fault and they would take no responsibility. Said Sam haaad to come over to correct my hands in an inversion so really it was necessary for her to crunch my glasses. Thing is, that isn't even when it happened. The inversion happened after, and it was the point at which I left. I was doing virtually nothing when it actually happened. (That's kinda the class btw.) That all was bad enough. To add insult to injury, I came in on a rainy Saturday morning because I'd already booked the body sculpt class. They checked me in. But as I went to enter the class, Halle came at me all saccharine again. She told me to LEAVE. She had my phone number because of her incredible concern for me (eyes rolling back in my head) yet did not text me to tell this. ClassPass showed I was registered, yet in another longwinded email sent a few hours earlier that Saturday morning (because everyone checks their email and junk mail before a Saturday morning workout lol) they said they had taken me out of class. They didn't, obviously. So I wasted my Saturday morning and lost my ClassPass credits and they lied some more. They had me drive down in the rain to take their lame ass class after breaking my brand-new glasses for nothing. It's all on me!! Not very zen of them, but we know how karma works. I wish the photo of my smashed new glasses would upload. Use your imagination.

With bright colors, pretty lighting fixtures and small, endearing decorative details, I feel better just entering the studio. I love a studio with personality. I attended an Easy Does It class with Jil Maggio and had a great experience. As someone with physical limitations, Jil made me very comfortable. She was extremely attentive to offering me alternatives without isolating me. Her class was motivating, inclusive and exactly what I needed. Jil is so smart, kind and in-tune with the needs of her students to make a yoga practice authentic to everyone. Also, I thought it was such a nice touch to enter the room and have yoga props set-up already per every space. This is such a nice touch, especially when you are new and don't know what to take or expect. My only dislike: WHY NORTHFIELD!!! This is so far for me. But I will make the drive back here as I can! They also offer incredible workshops and I hope I can make an upcoming Self-Defense event being offered.

I wanted to wait to write my review after having taken a months worth of classes. I am happy to say…read morethat my opinions of the studio have only improved because my experiences this past month solidified the positive first impression I had on the day I walked in after seeing a sign posted outside. I have taken a range of the beginner classes, including gentle yoga, intro to yoga, yoga basics, and the amazing restorative classes, which are offered several times a week. I could write pages about how much I love this place, but I will try to keep this brief. First of all, the studio is a warm, cozy, inviting environment, and I always immediately become more relaxed by just walking in. The front area has tons of yogi apparel and accessories for sale, and I love the convenience of that. Both of the practice rooms are tastefully, yet simply decorated and the dimmed lights and candles give the rooms a vibe or relaxation and quiet focus. I have taken classes with Melissa and Tricia and I hope to get around to taking classes with the other talented instructors at the studio. The real star, however, is Debbie. As the Brian mentioned, Debbie is one of the warmest, most friendly, genuine people I have met and she welcomed me with such kindness to the area and to the studio on the day that I happened to walk in. She truly cares about each and every person who walks into the studio and she takes her time to make sure you are properly aligned and doing each move correctly when you take her classes. She makes you feel comfortable with trying new things, but she is respectful of personal limitations and varying levels of expertise within any given class. I always leave Lifesource with a renewed sense of calm and relaxation and I am excited to make this place a part of my life here in Akron. I will certainly be extending my membership.

But they have great instructors, ample props including very nice bolsters, a clean restroom big enough to change in, and ample parking too. Definitely will be back -- not taking points off for the floor since that's a very personal viewpoint, and not taking points off for the staff letting people come in late since it's a little annoying but not worth complaining too loudly about (forgive yourself and others, right?). (Also would be good for them to have an electronic sign-in process when arriving, but again, these are all very minor complaints and I will absolutely return here. Stacy in particular was an excellent instructor. My only other suggestion would be for them to incorporate more pranayama and mindfulness meditation (for example, I like when instructors advise setting an intention at the beginning of the session, or positive affirmations, or speaking about the value of letting go... all would make nice additions to their classes, unless you prefer more functional and less spiritual/thoughtful yoga practice).
