He was approachable, warm and friendly which is not the usual. He asked for my name and if I had an appointment. He looked at the calendar and took more of my information. One of the reasons I keep bringing my vehicle back to MyTech....... While just getting a routine 45k mile service on my Highlander, and the first one not at the dealership I purchased the vehicle from, the technician brought in my cabin air filter to discuss with me. During my 40k service at the dealership, which took almost 3 hours, they had tried to recommend I change the air filter since "it was getting a little dirty." My Tech brought in the filter, not to recommend changing it immediately, but to let me see it and know that it would need a change at the next service. I lost my trusted mechanic of nearly 30 years and was in search of a new one, so I turned to Yelp. I went for the first 5-Star auto repair shop in my area with the most reviews, and that wasn't Mytech. (Mytech had a 5-Star average, but they had fewer reviews.) That was my first mistake. I ran into multiple problems with the first shop, one of which was an ABS dash light. Long story, but I took it to the other shop no less than three times and they couldn't properly diagnose/fix it. The other shop said it could be one of three different problems, with the cheapest possible option (no guarantee) being over $300 to resolve. Mytech Automotive is the best in Woodbridge. The give great service and the staff is really nice. When I come in for service they always tell me to keep an eye on this or that. Just for future reference. The only thing I would suggest is to make an appointment if you can. They get filled up really quickly because of how great they are. Their customers are loyal. The first time I went I met one man who has been going to them for more than four years. Another lady who has been a customer for years. The manager Dwayne also takes the time to explain what the mechanic has said what he will be repairing and what is in involved with that repair. Great guys and great service. They're very professional and personable. I went in for a brake job, did the service, and recommended additional services based on wear they saw. I'll say that most places will convince you that you need to do extra work, but My tech simply recommended what might come up and before you knew it, they were correct. Great service, competitive price for Saturday mobile service, quick response. Now I don't have to take off work Monday. Did a great job on my windshield and even added trim around it. The windshield does have the blue sun tint at the top and seems good quality. They had the windshield in stock for an older car (2001), so them having good warehouse access is another plus. What's is really important is that everything Shawn told me on the phone was what really happened, including price. He also vacuumed outside and inside the car as the vandals had left a big spray of glass, plus he reapplied the inspection sticker perfectly. Keep this local company in business! read more
