I do not live in the Dumfries area, but if I did, I can tell you that I would not use anyone else if I could help it for my car maintenance needs. I have a 2018 Suburban, that hasn't given us any trouble. Traveling from out of town, my car went into shut down mode in the middle of I-95 on Friday around 5:30pm traffic. Luckily, I was able to use momentum to get off at the nearest exit where the vehicle locked out before I could properly pull into the nearest gas station. As a woman traveling alone I was obviously distressed by the situation. I tried to remedy the issue myself to no avail. I looked over and saw Meineke within walking distance, so I walked over as a last resort before calling a tow truck to see if they had a code reader, and would mind coming over. I walked in, and Q met me at the door. When I presented him with my situation he gladly offered to come over and assess the situation for me. He assured me of a couple different scenarios that could be happening, and a few options we may have. Once at the vehicle the code reader confirmed his predictions and he was able to quickly peform a reset. Poof! My vehicle was in good operating order again. If that wasn't enough, Q wanted to make sure that it was safe to continue to drive, knowing that I was traveling, so he brought it into the shop to double check a few things. He took his time explaining to me what all he was looking for, and what we would do if a problem arose. Luckily, all it needed was a reset of the battery, which we did, and it has been fine ever since. During my state of distress I hadn't paid much attention to time, just my nerves, and they weren't good. Once Q had assured me this was a fairly simple fix, and explained in detail what was going on, my anxiety about the situation dissipated, and I realized that Q was taking time after hours to help me in my unique situation. I tell this story in detail because not ony did Q quickly and efficiently get my vehicle up and running, but his attention to my state of distress, his kindness, and his desire to help me with my issue even when he would have to work late, speaks very highly of his character. I never felt like a burden, or that he was rushing through the situation. He truly cared to help a stranger in need. Q even took the time to show me in detail of another area that I should have checked out once I arrived home. I'm so thankful that I broke down near Q's shop. I truly believe that if I hadn't my situation might have been much different. Thanks to Q not only was the situation remedied quickly, but I had the opportunity to see that good people who want to help others do still exist. I will not forget Q's kindness to me, and I hope that others will try to give him their mechanical needs. It's people like Q that I want to support and see flourish in their business. Again, thank you Q.

They could've gotten to my car by 5 pm. They were nonchalant about helping me, so I went 200 yards to the Jiffy Lube and they assisted me immediately. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Won't be coming back to this Meineke ever. This experience could have been improved with a willingness to work on my vehicle.

He was honest, knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me any gimmick or other services that I didn't need. This is a full service facility that conducts tune ups, emissions, state inspections and has a waiting room. Technician Jeff and owner Louis are fast, trustworthy and professionals. The prices were reasonable and fair. I will definitely bring in my other vehicles in the near future for their incredible customer service and experience.

They always let me know what exactly is wrong & allow me the decision whether to go through w the work or wait for a better time. I typically go for routine oil changes, however have done other work such as getting O2 sensors, catalytic converters, intakes, tires, etc. The value I've received here is exceptional & prices are great too! I've compared parts they'd locate to parts I can get online myself & 9/10 times it's usually within $20-50 difference. They also will install your parts for you if you decide to buy it on your own.

The issue with my Jeep was complex and it took a little longer to diagnose, after a few assessments the technicians were able to replace each of the hub bearing assemblies. John, Cesar and their technicians are honest, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. Along with their comfortable and welcoming lobby to wait in, they also willingly go out of their way to offer a ride on their shuttle, a service most auto shops do not provide. I now live an hour away from their shop, however, I am willing drive that distance to continue my business with them. I never leave reviews but I got to say... this is hands down the best auto care center in the Stafford/ Dumfries/ Quantico area. I'm stationed in Quantico and during the past 3 yrs, I've gotten work done on three of my cars... auto work ranges from oil changes, radiator work, new tires, vehicle inspections, and a few other things. Every time I've gone there, the customer service is A class... I'm talking courteous, professional, efficient service, to include prompt phone calls to let me know exactly what they recommend, as well as price quotes. We were traveling home to PA from SC when we noticed a thumping sound. We pulled off the Interstate and into the first parking lot we came to - it was Quantico Tire and Auto Care. Top Notch honest guys here. Brought our boys car here numerous times and they did good work and were fair in pricing. Recently brought my truck because I was hearing noises, then ran diagnostics to find nothing. Test drove the truck and still couldn't diagnose a problem. They explained what they did and suggested have the manufacturer look at and didn't charge me anything. Great guys! read more

I've been taking my cars to Quantico Tire & Auto Care since MCR Auto closed shop at the same location. I can honestly say that I've had no issues with their repair work. The customer services reps are outstanding; they explain all the work to be performed in detail. I believe the prices seem to be reasonable as compared to other repair shops. The not-so-good experience.. they didn't call to say to what extent the diagnosis was neither did they call to breakdown the cost for everything. So by the time I got my car back, everything was already done so I'm inclined to pay at that point. Not to mention, the cost of parts was over the average pricing that you can get online so if you're familiar with car parts, I recommend ordering it elsewhere and asking if they're able to use that instead of theirs. Overall, I'd come back here for maintenance and inspections. I think they are trustworthy but could improve method of communication to the customers.

A woman called me without even identifying herself and immediately said, "You left two negative reviews, and I was surprised to see you on the schedule. I wanted to make sure we were good." What exactly was I supposed to take from that? I had to ask her multiple times whose name was even on these reviews before she finally said mine. One review was from years ago, and the other was from about four months ago. During the conversation, she even acknowledged that in the more recent situation, their employee had given me incorrect information. She stated that she was new manager finally and attempt to "address the issues". So why was I being confronted about an honest review of an experience your own staff mishandled? The entire call felt less like an attempt to resolve a customer-service issue and more like an attempt to make me cancel my appointment. When I finally asked directly whether she still wanted me to bring my vehicle in, suddenly she was stumbling over her words. If you wanted my business, why call me before my scheduled appointment specifically to bring up old negative reviews and tell me you were "surprised" I was on the schedule? It also leaves me with a serious question: Is this how Hometowne Auto Repair contacts every customer who has ever left a negative review, or was I singled out as a Black woman who criticized the service she received? Customers should be able to leave honest reviews--especially when a business acknowledges its employee provided incorrect information--without wondering whether those reviews will later be held against them when they try to obtain service. Bringing up a review from years ago and another from months ago immediately before my appointment was unnecessary, intimidating, and incredibly unprofessional. After that phone call, I certainly did not feel that my business was wanted or that I could comfortably trust this shop with my vehicle. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! At the end of the day I blame myself for trying to give them another chance since i had been going to them for almost 10years! I can assure you no more chances will be given so you don't have to worry about me anymore.

He was honest, knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me any gimmick or other services that I didn't need.
