    11 oysters

Amazing, quant spot to stop in for a snack/ lunch. Took us a second to be seated because it's a small cozy shop, but once seated my boyfriend and I were greeted with a friendly waiter. We picked out a bottle of wine to enjoy, along with a dozen oysters (2-4pm $2/ oyster), truffle mac and cheese (minimal truffle and a tad dry), and the 2 cheese/ 2 meat charcuterie board. As shown in the photos, everything was pretty spectacular!!!! We wanted to order one more round of oysters before the $2 deal ended so we ordered another round. When the waiter delivered the oysters, we were told that they had switched to a smaller oyster (I would've liked to know this before the order was placed, non the less we still loved them) as we were nearing our last oyster, we noticed that we had only been served 11 oysters, not 12. The tab had already been closed at this time, and I didn't care to let them know we were missing an oyster, so we decided to leave with a disappointed feeling. Overall a great spot to stop in, but make sure to count your oysters and ask which ones you will be served before ordering.

I got two meat and two cheese charcuterie board and it was fantastic! I chose two of the spicy meat they have and I got the most amazing brie I've ever had. It was also a Jazz night so the vibe was emasculate. Baguette and butter were also fantastic. Definitely will be coming here more often. Staffs were very lovely and helpful

Was in town on a work trip and oh my gosh if I lived in Portland Id be back weekly. Had such a lovely time. Beautiful small atmosphere, very knowledgeable staff. Having the cheese and meat for charcuterie set up like that was phenomenal. The oysters were amazing! Definitely recommend, especially at happy hour!

This is one of my fav spots in Portland. I take all of my friends here and we usually share a meat and cheese plate. The food is so fresh and delicious, and the bread is served warm with the meat and cheese plates might be the best bread I've ever had. I've never been to France, but the vibes here make me feel like I have been transported there! 10/10 recommend.

Crushed it here. Charcuterie was fire and I added the jamón de bellota because why not. The tuna sandwich on the rolls and the tomato soup were ridiculously good. Wrapped it all up with a solid glass of wine. Big win.

Cute shop, nice area, tasty drinks and food but slow service. Took 40 min to get cheese. Would come back though

If you are dreaming of your time in Europe at a cafe where you were eating exceptional food, relaxing, and loving life, you now know where to go in Portland. We had the nicest server. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The smell wafting from inside was mouthwatering. Such a large selection of wines, cheeses, meats, butters, drinks, anything you would want to either purchase and enjoy at home or eat there. There are also menu items so you don't have to do the work, just enjoy! Seating options are one of their indoor tables or outdoor bistro tables.

need a quick stop for a drink and snack with a friend? negociant is perfect for a catch up. this smaller space is a market, wine shop, and cafe. that's what makes it such a calming vibe. went for a quick sandwich plus basque cheesecake, while my friend grabbed a drink with oysters (very different vibe), but it worked! service was friendly and helpful, while our order was fulfilled quickly.

4pm in the afternoon, enjoying a nice walk around the the neighborhood and we stop for a nice vegan fro-yo treat at the shop next door. We take a seat at the tables on the street out front to enjoy our snack, and someone from Negociant comes out and says "I'm sorry, but I have to reserve these tables for this restaurant ". No signs on the windows, no signs on the tables, and a server with attitude. We consider just buying some wine and cheese, but the attitude continues when we went inside to see about buying something, note that the entire place is empty except for the staff. So yeah, kinda rude to be like that and not have any business. I guess we won't have the opportunity to support them in them in the future.

I really love this place. Their beer and wine selection is top notch. It's well curated with the best stuff at different price points. Great place to hang out before a movie at Cinema 21, if you have some time to spare.

This is my favorite spot when I want a delicious cheeseboard, a dozen oysters and a bottle of wine. I like that you can pick your own meats and cheeses out of their case or you can let the staff curate a board for you. We were seated in a cute little corner nook, but their patio seating is also great.

Negociant is a fantastic place to catch-up with friends, have a long lunch, and take yourself or others on a date. They offer a wide selection of wine by the glass, meat and cheese plates, and delicious sandwiches and salads. On Wednesdays, they host events centered on showcasing a type of wine or winemaker. There you are able to try wines in a flight or by the glass. I love these events and have discovered some great new wines and learned so much! Additionally, they have a great wine selection with bottle selection from new and old world, traditional and natural, and varied price ranges. The staff recommendations have never led me astray.

My friend and I definitely enjoyed our flights. Both of us liked half of our flights and LOVED the other half. By the end of the night, we were laugh crying. We also ordered cheese, crackers, nuts, and dried fruits. All so delicious and great to snack on while we sipped on our flights. The cheeses were delectable. We also got truffles to end the night off on a sweet note. Our server was so nice and kind. She was very helpful and I could tell she wanted us to have a good time there. I vaguely remember there being games at the front of the store. It seems like a nice place to just unwind and just have fun. It's a really cute and clean spot. Inside is dark and cozy, perfect for a rainy afternoon or evening. My only complaint is there is a lot of wood and all the hard surfaces don't reflect noise so it's sometimes challenging to hear. They have a wonderful assortment of wines and not all local. For me, that's a good thing. Yes I love a Willamette Valley Pinot or a Washington Cabernet, but I get a lot of those when I'm visiting these areas, which I do frequently. At Muse you can enjoy a red from France, Spain, Italy, as well as local. Lots of whites and some bubbles, too. You can do a tasting of three half glass pours of your choice, or order a glass. Some nights they have tastings that they have preselected. Last night, based on Alex's recommendation, after telling him my preferences, I had the 2021 Crozes-Hermitage from Paris. It was a bigger red, but so smooth. Next I went with the Rioja Gran Reserva which was more fruit forward. Another winner. Their cheese and jam plates are fabulous, the cheese especially delicious, and pair perfectly with the wines. Have a feeling I'll be back frequently to this charming neighborhood wine since my friend works out next door, so it's a perfect meeting spot.

The focaccia is dense and can make you full fast, but the garlic eggplant butter balances it out and makes me feel less full. It's hard to explain but it just makes me hungrier as I eat - The Young Yellowtail Toast is also a must get. The amount of yellowtail they give you is generous, it's refreshing with the lemon. We got this dish at the end of our meal. By that time we were pretty full, but the yellowtail gave us a second wind because of how good it was - The Gems and Chicories is good only if you like beets. THE BEETS IS WHAT MAKES THIS DISH, so if you're not into beets don't get this. Seriously I cannot stress enough how important the beets are and how it ties together this dish. As I was eating it, I was fairly unimpressed up until I had the beets. I had to kind of fish them out from the bottom, it was like they were hiding from me or something, but once I found them they completely transformed the salad for me - The Grilled Squid and Gremolata was forgettable, it wasn't bad by any means but the other dishes were so good it kind of drowned this one out to be honest - The Corned Lamb Terrine was also forgettable for the same reason the Grilled Squid was. I don't have anything bad to say, it just pales in comparison to the other dishes we had. Ambience: - It's a smaller place, it can fit maybe 20-25 people I think - There's a large floral display in the back wall that I was sitting next to that made for great pictures - I love all the hanging plants and the vases with plants, it zhuzhed up the place for sure. It almost gives a old timey Victorian vibe Overall: I've been to this place twice and I've enjoyed each visit. I do plan on visiting again sometime. It's a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and bites. I wouldn't go on a date here, it's a little too loud, I felt like I was screaming at my Fiancé for her to hear me.
