But my company and my clients are pleased we didn't . Do NOT hire this guy! I unfortunately did. I spent a LOT of money building my outdoor dream kitchen and hired Marvin (Owner) to stain my concrete floor. Within a couple of months the sealer was peeling and looking terrible. It is a huge black eye on my beautiful outdoor kitchen. The concrete floor looks like it's ten years old instead of a few months old! He kept promising to fix it but came up with one excuse after another (van broke, he was in the hospital, van was stolen etc). In the end he never fixed it and now his phone is disconnected. This man is a conman! Don't make my mistake. Now I have to pay good money to hire a real company to come fix his mess! He should be ashamed of himself! read more

Stay away! Terrible quality of work. I cannot recommend Marvin or this company. Initially, he was quick to respond and provide an estimate, which was below other estimates. The work started quickly, but several times, he would drop off a single worker in the middle of the summer with no tools or water who was hand picking weeds as a way to prep the site. Because of this, the site preparation was extremely poor, despite voicing our concerns, and the slab is now uneven in a way that causes water to pool in the middle after rain. Additionally, there are many boot and trowel marks, concrete overspray on the shed, concrete spray mounds near our fence and uneven color stain. Marvin consistently blamed his workers and stated that his company, N.F.L, stands for "Not For Long" because he fires so many workers, which in my opinion is a sign of a poorly run business. He acknowledged that there needed to be corrections, but offered many excuses (truck stolen, death in the family etc). We have tried for months to contact him with no response. Not only does he need to finish the job, but he also needs to repour an entire section of the slab to rectify the error. We were very patient throughout the process, but our patience has worn off and I believe he has changed his phone number and we are unable to contact him. AVOID! read more

Don't use. **BEWARE**look at all reviews on google, yelp ,BBB ,etc.. I failed to look and now I'm paying the price!! We paid for our brand new concrete floors to be sanded & polished and after 3 months of lies -- he decided to put a clear epoxy on it, thinking we wouldn't know the difference and it now looks terrible .. he fleeced me out of $7500.. over the corse of 3 months. Now we have to start all over again.. We had 3 other contractors come out after we decided too tell him to leave and not come back. They all confirmed it was an epoxy ( even though Marvin refuses to admit it) and it was not even a good job of epoxy, all bubbled ,black foot prints that are permanently under the epoxy gaps from one section to another. no consistency and half way done.. feel free call or text me 904-629-2632 - I would be glad to send pics and videos! read more

We contracted with N FL Concrete Flooring to buff and seal the garage and carport floors at our Atlantic Beach home. The contract included grinding and sealing both floors - they grind and seal the carport but he said the garage didn't need sanding. He did not change the price or refund the oney for sanding. They applied the sealant in the garage and it looked great - the problem was as soon as you put a car on it the tire pull up the sealant. We have made numerous attempts to resolve this matter - Marvin has set up two appointments to look at the floor and see what needs to be done but he has not showed up either time. I want to make all aware that Marvin and his staff are unresponsive, do poor quality work and don't back it up. We are now moving to the legal phase to seek judgement. read more

Instead a lady calls asking me to remove a Google review for another bad job he did on a driveway... I proceeded to tell her she has the wrong unhappy customer and explain my situation and she put the phone down on me. I have asked Marvin to be professional and settle this out of court, however he texted this morning saying I am in breach of contract and owe him 60 days.... that's what he is relying on to get out of what he does to people. He needs to read his contract ... any delays (of which there were many) he is on the hook for ONTOP of the mess he leaves the floor in... yes we will see you in court. Marvin was supposed to do my residential flooring. He was always delaying the job which pushed out the painters and lost me over 2 month rental income. Two days ago he tells me he is finished. I went to the property today and am so disgusted at the job he did. My fridge is damaged and nothing was put back. I was in shock. I've tried calling and calling him but he avoids my calls. I will be taking legal action and going to the BBB. Save yourself money and huge stress and do not use him!! read more

I paid $4986 deposit for concrete floors to be done in our house. However, our start date was delayed due to discovering that we had to do extensive plumbing work which involved digging up the floors. This was explained to the Office Manager at the time (Chris) and I was told it was not a problem, that we can reschedule the start date when we are ready. We were able to complete the plumbing work so I advised the office that we were ready. A new Office Manager, Ashley, was now in place; she emailed me advising that we were on the schedule for Apr 3rd to Apr 6th and that the job would be completed during this window. She also advised that no other work can be done during this time since they'll be working on the floors so I cancelled all my other workers for that week. However, N.FL showed up on the 3rd but did very little work (picked up some of the existing carpets but nothing else). They left and no work was done. There were several no calls/no shows after this point on their part. Each time they would make an appointment to come out, they didn't show. I made several attempts to contact the office & the owner by phone & email but received no response. I went to the office once and Marvin McGhee, the owner, was there. After laying out a slew of excuses, he advised he would be at my house the next day to start the job. He did not show up the next day. After that my calls went unanswered again and I went back to the office 3 times, but no one answered the door. He eventually sent a guy to take up the tiles, but he didn't have the right tool so he borrowed my worker's jack hammer and he did a very poor job. At that point, I requested a refund and expressed my dissatisfaction. I was told by Eric, the new Office Manager, that I would be issued a refund and to give him a week to get it processed. A week passed, I called several times but got no where. I went to the office again & think someone was there but no one answered the door. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. I WOULD NOT recommend using this company. read more

We wanted to do a concrete stain job, but got ignored. I think they are busier with bigger jobs at the stadium that the small jobs get left to the wayside. Unfortunately I couldn't rate the work, but the unprofessionalism sucked. Big business jobs need only apply. We made an appointment for Tuesday May 26th for Marvin to concrete stain our rooms, he texted "on my way" at 8:57am (Our appointment was at 8am) and that was the last we heard from him. He did not even have the courtesy to text or call us to cancel or reschedule. We emptied the rooms for him to work on. He dodged our calls since yesterday. I had to borrow a phone to call him from another number to which he picked up right away. He didn't even apologize, just said "it was raining so we couldn't work, plus I'm not even in Florida right now I'm in Orlando" so yeah, we can't review his company on the actual work but his work ethic is non-existent. In August 2019, we hired Marvin to epoxy our kitchen floor, pantry, laundry, and 1/2 bathroom (approx 450 square feet). From beginning to end, we cannot recommend Marvin. In fact, I am warning anyone considering hiring Marvin, do not hire him. There are other concrete flooring contractors in the area and hiring him is not worth the risk. Among many troubling reasons, the quality of the work is unacceptable and Marvin has refused to return and fix the floor. During the process, we asked questions because we had concerns, but Marvin reassured us saying to have faith, trust him, and everything will be exactly as we asked. Because we believed him, our floor is ruined. The floor is uneven, which is extreme in some places, the epoxy was not mixed or spread out properly, the coloring not mixed properly and has streaks and stains throughout the floor, there are bits of concrete showing through, and the floor scratches easily which is a problem with the sealer. The list is long with problems. The entire floor needs to be redone because of Marvin's poor quality work. The effect on an uneven floor alone has created problems with cabinets needing to be shimmed to the extreme (from 0 to over an inch in level change). The kitchen has been delayed, and we've had to work around a problematic floor. We've talked with many professionals in the filed since the floor was done. The outcome is we will have to hire someone, costing us thousands to restore the floor back to its original condition, and install a floor that is not going to put us in this same position again. When this is finally resolved, the floor will probably have cost us $15-20 per square foot. Outrageous! Marvin is directly responsible. We hired Marvin because of the photos of his work on Facebook and his website, along with a few testimonies. When he arrived to quote the work, he told us a story about his wife dying while giving birth to his only son. Naturally, this was an emotional pull our hearts, and we hired him. Later, we later learned that Marvin tells stories frequently (i.e., his mother has died on 5 separate occasions, his daughter has died in a drowning). Apparently, it's common knowledge that Marvin tells these disturbing stories. Early in the process when Marvin was expected to be at our house working, he did not show and did not communicate. Hours later, when I texted him about when is he going to show up, he replied with an elaborate text explaining how he has been stranded on I-95 for two hours because of a flat tire, and that his truck would be towed to a tire shop in my town. The truck would be there overnight. He would Uber to our house to work the remainder of the day, and the details went on and on. So much of it made no sense to us, since he was supposed to be bringing all the product that day. He never showed up. I drove to the tire shop and his truck was not there. When he arrived on another day, not one tire was new. You cannot rely on the quality of his work can you cannot trust his word. We will be filing a small claims suit and/or filing a complain with BBB. We hope no one ever has to experience Marvin's dishonest and extreme poor quality work. read more

Unprofessional, rude and liars. If they can't keep up their part of a little agreement, what would it be for a full blown project. I am glad not to hire them. Marvin is an artist and gentleman. Our job required both heavy labor and an artistic touch and Marvin brought both to our home. Heavy tile rip-up, smoothed, and stained concrete downstairs in the exact color and finish we envisioned. Upstairs, we had particle board plywood which required many more coats of epoxy and in the field brainstorming to arrive at a finished product that we, along with our friends and neighbors, LOVE. This is the worst company! DO NOT use them. Marvin is great, just not at his job. He is great at giving you lies and the run around. He does NOT stand behind his work. He will not fix it or give you your money back. He did a terrible job on our floors. We have pictures to prove what I am saying. He used his health as an excuse and then just stopped answering our calls and eventually blocked us. Highly unprofessional. I am having a problem with my recently installed concrete driveway. At first, all seemed to be OK. The driveway looked great, but the top or finished layer started to deteriorate. I later learned that this is called "Dusting" by the concrete industry. I contacted the owner of the company, Marvin McGhee of N.FLA Concrete Flooring & Staining Inc. about the problem. At first, he acknowledged the problem, even without seeing the driveway and said that he would correct the defects. I made the first call on or about August 15. I made follow-up calls on September 11th and October 9th and Mr McGhee stated that he was still going to repair my driveway, but he was on a big job in South Carolina. Since the call on Oct 9th, Mr McGhee is no longer taking my calls or returning my messages. I have been in touch with Andy of Griswold Concrete, the provider of the concrete. They came out to my home and looked at my driveway. Mr Sweat says the my problem is directly related to the concrete getting wet before the curing process was completed. i.e.: RAIN. Thus, Mr. McGhee was aware of the potential problem and is not being a responsible contractor. When it started raining, Mr. McGhee did not have plastic to cover the recently poured concrete. I quickly offered plastic that I had on hand. My offer was accepted, but it was already too late according to Mr. Sweat. Mr McGhee, being in the concrete business, should have know the induction of water to the curing process would damage the finished product. Yet he failed to have a rain barrier on hand during this process. I believe that his why he first agreed to correct the problem without seeing my drive. Now, He is just another dead beat contractor.
