I have to admit, I did not have high expectations for a Mexican restaurant on Marco Island. This place was AMAZING and deserves more stars. We ended up coming here after the original place we were going to for dinner was temporarily closed. Didn't feel like driving and decided to eat here, which shared the same parking lot. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and they were PHENOMENAL! The shrimp was extremely flavorful and seasoned to perfection. the sauce paired perfect with them as well. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf Quesadilla and said they loaded it with meat. He was a happy camper. We kept commenting on how amazing our entrees were throughout the dinner. I was disappointed with our experience at Nacho Mama's. We had to wait a long time for service then ordered chips and salsa, normally complementary at other restaurants, and were far from impressed when they arrived. The chips did not seem fresh and they were very thin. Both of the sauces were very spicy; I had to remove the jalapeños from the pico de gallo to make it palatable. I ordered taco salad, and again was disappointed. The lettuce was very fresh, but it was very small and the bowl was substandard. Except for the lettuce, I could've purchased the same thing at Taco Bell. read more

Great outdoor seating. Good service from GOGO. We both had versions of their taco salads. Mine had seasoned grilled chicken that waiter recommended and he was spot on. Served on plate bd hers was in shell bowl. Huge salad to fill me up. No chips and salsa automatically brought to table as had to order which is unheard of in my world of Mexican. Best bartender ever, I can't remember his name but he was awesome and made really good margaritas. We stopped in from the rain and had a drink and an order of chips and salsa, they were delicious! Truly bland boring food. Poor service that is hard to find. The "signature nachos" were super basic. White cheese sauce, not melted shredded cheese, barely covered chips and toppings just piled on top in the middle. The burritos were basic, I would even say, home cooked is better. The young hostess was so occupied talking with the servers that she didn't notice we were standing at the door for about 4 minutes. When we finally sat down, our server didn't even know what was on the menu let alone the prices of the items on the menu. Once we did order and received our food and drinks, the alcoholic drinks was very watered down, the rice was undercooked and the black beans tasted like they came straight from a can and warmed up in a microwave to be served, and the enchiladas were not good at all. Welp. This place has gone throughly downhill since our last visit (and initial visit at that). We have been to Nacho's several times, 2018, 2019, 2021, and now 2023. Go for the giant margs and leave. To start, we were greeted by what seemed like one staff member reprimanding another. During this time, we were ignored. This was a minute. Then, the host showed us to our table. I didn't hear him at all when he started walking away. We were sat in table that was for six (we were two). About the best I can say is the server was nice. We had the tuna tower for an app, which was okay but nowhere near as good as two years prior. My wife got the fish tacos. I tried one bite of the fish and tasted the grease. Disgusting. I got the steak tacos. Steak was average at best. A strip of melted cheese was on the bottom of my hard shell taco, followed by steak, caramelized onions, and green peppers and then a HEAP of lettuce. Basically, go for the marg and leave... We came with the intention of splitting everything so our group of 3 stuck to the appetizer menu. We also got a classic margarita on the rocks to split. I thought it was cool that they offer small, medium and large margaritas. Way to pump up the fun factor, Nacho Mama's! We ordered SO RIGHT. The ahí tuna stack was good and fresh tasting. It came loaded tuna and avocado over a crunchy slaw and topped with a soy/teriyaki sauce. Scooped up with wonton chips, this was a great addition to our appetizers. The chili con queso was cheesy. That ooey, goey cheese dripping from your chip as you dunk kind of thing. It was tasty, but nothing inventive here. Now, these nachos. *Swoon*. A lot of times nachos can be disappointing. All the good stuff is loaded on top and the chips below get neglected. But not here, friends. These nachos were LOADED in every nook and cranny of chips and there were A LOT of chips. The cheese is actually queso so it is running down all over this mound of cheesy, beefy, spicy goodness down to every last chip. If these nachos were a musical group, they would be the Beyoncé of Destiny's child. Far outshining their talented counterparts because of their ability to stand out in the crowd. This spot served delicious Mexican cuisine. We visited on our weekend trip to Marco. The only reason I gave it four stars was because when we called to place our order, the employee who answered the phone stated that they weren't taking any phone orders due to the establishment being "very full". My husband decided to go in person only to find the establishment pretty empty. We walked into Nacho's on a humid evening. We sat inside to cool off, but there was no AC and it was hotter inside than out. My wife had a frozen margarita and I had one on the rocks. Mine was OK, but my wife did not like hers at all and did not drink it. (I don't ever remember either of us not liking any margarita in the past.). She had the fajita burrito and I had the Baha blackened fish tacos. There were three small flower shells and a very large pice of blackened fish to split between the three shells. It was very good.
