Ordered over the phone. They clearly knew I was American and had difficulty taking my order which was 1 lb of carnitas with tortillas and pick de gallo. Online it says $13. When I picked it up the price magically changed to $18. I was told it was a recent price change. At least half of the carnitas was tripe.. which is NEVER included in carnitas. If you are American.. they will rip you off.. STAY AWAY!!

Top: tacos w/pastor & barbacoa. Center: Rice &beans and guac, along side hot sauces. Bottom: Shrimp tacos

My husband and I were driving to Naples on the Tamiami Trail and after a long commute stopped at Chilakil for lunch. The restaurant is alongside a gas station on the main road, don't let this stop you from going in! We were pleasantly surprised at the design of the restaurant. It is eclectic- a bit modern, a bit traditional, but all well done and most important to us, very clean. There is adequate seating, even though some tables are unavailable to promote social distancing. There is also a walk-up-window outside if you prefer ordering your food and sitting on the back of your tailgate, or just hitting the road with your grub. They have an easy to read menu with both Spanish and English translation. I am a Pescatarian, so at times I feel limited in my options, but Chilakil had a good selection of plates that would fit into my diet. I decided on shrimp tacos with a side of rice and beans. My husband ordered 5 tacos: 2 barbacoa and 3 pastor. We also ordered guac & chips. So, first I will admit that our eyes were grander then our bellies because it was SO.MUCH.FOOD! For the price, we were expecting small street tacos, but that was not the case. The tacos were larger then expected, the tortillas hot and fresh and the guac was one of the best we had ever tried. I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp tacos, rice and beans and while my husband enjoyed his plate, his preference of the two meats had he only had one option would be the pastor. We both enjoy spicy food, so we added their hot sauce to our tacos. If you like heat too, definitely ask for their hot sauces!! They are flavorful and pack a punch! If you are in the area going to or heading out of Naples, and have a hankering for authentic food served by very nice people, support the local economy and add Chilakil to your itinerary! You tastebuds will thank you!

Ever since I moved to Florida about 11 years ago, I have always said up until today that I would never ever find authentic Mexican food in Florida. In a state saturated with Cuban cuisine and fusions, very few have claimed to be authentic Mexican and even come close to delivering. As I walked into this restaurant, a shabby, quiet, hole in the wall, the first thing I noticed was the aroma. It smelled like my mothers cooking when I lived in Arizona. I looked at the menu and so many viable options, at prices so low I thought there were multiple typos. The young lady suggested gorditas, one al pastor and the other barbacoa. They both delivered and for a second I felt that I was back in the west coast; enjoying a family dinner. I hate that I have worked in lely resort for three years and never discovered this place. It's amazing, and if you ever find yourself passing by, do a U turn and give it a try, and you won't be disappointed.

This place had no reviews so I decided to try it and check it out and OMG it's a gem!!! The tacos are to die for, we had carnitas, lengua, barbacoa, buche, pastor, asada and we devour them, fresh corn tortillas, chips while we waited for our food, service was excellent and the food was ready within minutes!!! A true 5 stars for being authentic Mexican food, I believe they're from Michoacán. We live in Miami but we definitely will come back for more when we're down here

Food was delicious but the ambience lacked character. Had the chile relleno and the flavor was very good.

No ice tea or diet drinks. Our food not very good. More expensive than most Mexican restaurants.

Friendly. Didn't go over the top but then again it seemed like maybe there was a rush and only two servers were on? Didn't matter much because we got what we wanted and needed. I went twice within 24 hours because the food was simply delicious. I enjoyed the blackened snapper eggs Benedict. Now I am from Florida so I know good snapper from bad and this was amazing. It was perfectly blackened with a great Cajun flavor and the fish remained succulent. The biscuits here are incredible. Huge and fluffy and tasty. I substitute the hollandaise sauce for their sausage and jalapeño gravy which I think was a pro move!! My second day I enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. I also had a slice of hummingbird cake. If I had stayed in nipples a third day, I would've returned one more time. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back next time. I am in Naples.

From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were presently surprised on how pretty the place transformed from what used to be Three60 Market. Cozy, rustic, chic. Since it is a small place, every table seemed to have a view of the river. They also had outdoor dining, which would be nice once the weather gets cooler. We arrived right when they opened so we were initially the only people there. However, that quickly changed in the next hour or 2. We were seated by the hostess, and our waiter quickly appeared. He was warm and friendly and was attentive throughout the night. They had a good selection of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails From the summer dining specials, we all ordered different entrees. Everything was delicious. Both the appetizers and dinner were full portions. Great deal for the price. All of us will be coming back, and bringing our husbands.

I usually say that a Mexican restaurant is not authentic if they don't use two corn tortillas for each taco and meats they offer are only steak, chicken and shrimp... and Garibaldi delivers on the variety. I went with Tacos de Tripa (Intestines) and we ordered a Molcajete de mariscos (Seafood). I liked my plate... did not love it; the Tripe was nice a crunchy, but as a whole, the tacos were dry (They also only use one tortilla/taco... authentic?... lol!) They needed sauce... unless they intend for the customer to use the sauces provided for the nachos on tacos as well?... maybe (which I did to a certain extend). I had never seen a "Molcajete" dish... cool presentation. Did no care for the nopales (cactus), but everything else in the dish is pretty great. The place is decorated in a seemingly "culturally appropriate" way :) and there is a bakery section right at the entrance. I'd definitely swing by next time I am in the area!
