Been coming here for the tacos for a couple years now and the last time they sucked, not cooked well and limp shells. But this time they were 96% gristle and fat, inedible. I ended up spitting most of the two out five tacos I ate back on the plate. So nasty, clearly no one knows how to cook or train so I won't be back after a couple years of a good run .good luck putting that on a plate and charging ppl for it. I've ate here 4-5 times now and this last time got me heavily disappointed. The first couple times, I got their burritos and tacos which were decent. It's nearby so my coworkers and I would come here. However, this last time, I was craving carne asada fries so I ordered and was so disappointed. It was around $15-16, average price until you realized that it's like kids portion. Just look at the picture. Way too overpriced! There's so many nearby Mexican restaurants. I'm not sure why I ordered a burrito when I came to a place called Naco's Tacos, but I did. Based on my cashiers recommendation I went with Carne Asada rather than Carnitas. I give them credit for not making an all meat burrito with pico de gallo and guacamole like so many of the other authentic Mexican shops in town, instead it had a bit of lettuce, sour cream, beans, rice and meat. The meat itself was a bit chewy. It was good. Solid. I wouldn't go out of my way to make a trip here, but if I was in the neighborhood and hungry, I would eat here again. Pretty sure I would try the tacos the next time. The place is in a run down dingy strip mall with the signs falling down and it's not very impressive, but the restaurant itself was small but clean. The food tasted fresh. There was a salsa bar with all the accoutrements that you would want to eat with Mexican food. read more

Love this place!!!! I randomly found this place and have been back three times over the course of a month. I could eat here daily! Fast-casual, fresh, made after you place your order. I always go for tacos and the pastor, asada, and lengua are delicious! The corn tortillas are perfectly cooked, your food comes out nice and warm. They have a nice toppings bar, on which, I always opt for the onions, green salsa (not the tomatillo), and a few drops of the super hot orange salsa. I'll be back as soon as I can! This is a place that makes it on our yearly taco tour for my work. The tacos are some of the best in Colorado Springs. I went to eat there last night and ordered the pico de gallo. They actually made it fresh and brought it out with warm chips and served me directly. It was great! You just don't get that fresh of pico de gallo very often. I highly recommend the red meat, not the carne asada. The problem is that the carne asada is a little bit too fatty. The red meat is a steak as well, that is deliciously seasoned, but seems to have less fat than there carne asada. Don't get the pork. I should make this as a general statement, but it especially holds true at Naco's. It is really dry and not very good. Also, if you don't like cilantro, be sure to have it removed. the food is swimming in cilantro. You have been warned. As for ambiance, this is a hole in the wall kind of place. perfect for Mexican food. I loved the Halloween decorations. Dia de Muertos was alive and well inside. This is definitely a place that is worth a visit. read more

Lemme tell ya... if you like tacos, you won't mind the small place in the humble strip mall off of busy Academy. The pot holes in the parking lot are barely worth noticing knowing what awaits you inside. Get in line, order from the plentiful menu on the board/banner and then wait patiently for the fresh made, piping hot chicken tacos, al pastor, carne asada, or whatever your mexican taste buds desire. When the Quick Lane service center recommended this place, I was leery. It the middle of a beat up strip mall that houses several crappy businesses. I was getting a quick oil change, so I was on foot and unwilling to venture too far away so I gave it a shot. My wife is a fan of the plain ol' steak but I like the al pastor. Has pineapple and onions thrown in. First it was hard to order Of the 30 items listed 5 were in English and 8-10 more were easy to guess from the pictures. So we were limited in our choices, as I did not want to order the one which translated to beef stomach. The place did not look clean and the food was bland and did not taste like "it is prepared at the moment ordered".
