The pies are superior as are the turnovers and of course they have all the New York Jewish cookies plus a few Italian thrown in. We are from out of town. Heard about this place and came by to get some Cookies to take home for our dog sitter. They have an abundance of pastries, cookies, cakes and breads to choose from. We bought a little of it all. Before we Even got in the freeway (for our 5 hour drive home) we broke into one of our boxes. First the rum ball. So good! I went here for a wedding cake consultaion. When I arrived I was taken back to some corner area that is their consultation area. There were dirty, dusty chairs stacked behind me and the area seems unkept. I was standing next to the lady as we spoke and she asked me if I could sit across the table from her because the fragrance I had on was similar to a fragrance that another customer had on one other time and she nearly passed out. She seemed really irritated with me. She then asked if I had pictures of what I wanted, which I had sent via email. She was totally unprepared. She brought out the samples and again, presentation was not good. They were all together on a flimsy paper plate wrapped in plastic wrap. She explained which was which, I tasted and did not care for any of the cake except for the chocolate cake itself. It was the only one that was dense and moist. The buttercream frosting is not buttercream because they don't use butter, not even by request. The frosting taste was weak and the texture was light and fluffy, which for butter cream I would think it would be a bit heavier and creamy. Six samples were on the plate of which the only thing I like was the chocolate cake itself and none of the frostings or fillings, many of the fillings tasted very artificial. If I had to pick a filling the oreo filling was the best out of the six. The price quoted was fair, however I will pay a bit more for a better tasting cake and better customer service. I didn't feel it was very professional for her to comment on my fragrance. I recentlly sat next to a man on a flight that I didn't care for the way he smelled but I didn't comment and be all rude about it. So I give Nadine's a one star all the way around for service and quality. read more

I love this place! My husband loves this place! My kids don't realize they like this place because they like all things cake and this is where we've been ordering from recently. :) Every year since we got married, I would go into Walmart and order a similar little cake to the one we ordered for our small wedding. At the time, we were so broke and it was on sale the night before for $6. Walmart discontinued it and truth be told, I'm not a fan of Walmart anyway. Since Nadine's has done our last two birthday cakes, I decided to have it done here this year for our anniversary. I didn't catch the girl's name who helped me, but she was awesome! She listened to me ramble on about our wedding story, but it went farther. When we picked up the cake, she saw me in the parking lot. They get a lot of business, but she remembered me! she had it all set up when we came in and even asked questions about the wedding story I told her. It was just good customer service. The girl who helped me was quite friendly, but I got a cold reception and short responses from who I believe was to be Nadine herself. I've never understood the praise for Nadine's. To be blunt: It simply does not compare to ethnic bakeries in other cities. Not even close! My main complaint is that they don't use high-quality ingredients--the tongue doesn't lie. Update 2015: I tried their challah and it sucks. I've had several of their birthday cakes recently, and way too sweet and cheap ingredients. My home baked one is better--and it shouldn't be. Still very overrated! This place sells everything sweet from pastries, cakes, and cookies to little European baked delights. I have purchased my last 4 custom made birthday cakes (for friends and family b-days) from here. The prices are very reasonable and everything has always tasted fresh and delicious. The women that work here are very friendly and I always feel welcome coming in. When I purchase a cake for a friend or family member, they always want to know where I got it from. I tell them Nadines! Many of them have started getting their cakes and sweets from here as well. So I go to Nadines with the wife, the 8 year old, and the 5 year old. We walk into the place and the first thing that catches my eye is the mint swirl fudge. Its green and white and I am trying to figure out in my head if that is a good thing. Then the 5 year old is like "Dad, come over here and look at this" . He is by the cookie counter with all the different types of cookies. So I go over there and then the 8 year old is like, "Dad come over here" so I go over there and she is by the cheese cakes in the refrigerators. So I go over there and look at all the stuff they have in there. Then the wife is like "Hey, come over here and look at this". She is showing me the cakes in the circle display thingie. It is all just too much for my brain to take in at one time. read more

Everything is good, and most of it is amazing. I love their assorted cookies they are all melty and delicious. Their bar cheesecakes are creamy and rich. Their cakes are beautifully decorated and taste great. It may be because I grew up with Nadine's but their challah is what challah should taste like.
