The mango macaron had not even a smidge of mango flavor and the raspberry macaron had just the smallest hint of raspberry flavor, my friend got the Tiramisu macaron and it also tasted of nothing. So all three ended up tasting the same. My sister got the Coconut gelato and the pistachio gelato and although they were somewhat decent, we couldn't even finish it because it just wasn't the best :( We also got a small Dubai Chocolate bar ($12) and it was also alright. We sampled some of the ice cream flavors. I can only speak for the sorbets because that's what I tried, but they tasted like the fruit used to make them (for the most part). We ended up settling on a few macarons and a pistachio eclair (not my choice). The macarons were fine, but nothing special. (I.e., don't come here thinking you'll get Parisian quality macarons.) What a pleasant experience we had here at Le Macaron. Already upon entering I was happily impressed with the theme and decorations of the space. It's beautifully bright (but mellow) pinks, reds and whites all and super cute. Quite literally a 'princess room'. A beautiful creation of flowers (not real), with some constructed of pipe cleaned cleverly. There's more to be said but with pictures and some imagination , I'll leave it to that. There are macarons, gelato and chocolate treats served here, even including some gf and dairy free options in the macarons and vegan options for the other items. I stopped in yesterday for the Dubai Affogato Dream on the Sonoran Restaurant Week menu, and it didn't disappoint! I chose the hazelnut gelato in my affogato, and a pistachio and chocolate macaroon. It also came with Dubai chocolate! Everything was delicious! There were options of milk or dark chocolate for the Dubai chocolate, the affogato was creamy and delicious! So cute we had to stop in! They have a great selection of macaroons at a reasonable price for the size and quality. In addition to the macaroons, they had a gorgeous selection of chocolates and (I think) coffee/drinks. Oh, and they also have ice cream. We were downtown for an event and decided to check out Le Macaron. Their lovely French pastry shop has a variety of tasty options, and we will be back to try more of them. On the evening we were there, they were passing out macaron samples....cassis or pumpkin. Both perfectly textured and delicious. They also had a nice selection of meringues, gelato, cake slices, coffee, and chocolates to choose from. The team member serving us was very patient while we looked over options. She answered our questions about different items and was enthusiastic about the products. We ended up choosing a lemon meringue and a vanilla. We also ordered a salted caramel and Belgian chocolate meringue. They were heavenly. The interior of the shop is adorable, with all of the ambiance you'd expect of a French patisserie. Stacy and her team at Le Macaron are the best! We did not want traditional cake at our wedding, so we proceeded with macarons and gelato! When calling for more info/details, Stacy was extremely helpful and kind. She guided me through serving size, flavors, presentation, delivery, storage, etc. She even helped make the custom signage with our flavors. Super cute shop. It is beautifully decorated and the display cases are filled with colorful treats. I ordered 6 macarons and was sorely disappointed. I imagine most people come here for the macarons, but today I came for the gelato! They have a small selection of flavors, mostly unique flavors. First, I tasted the Violet, which tasted too strong and earthy. I wasn't a fan. Then I tried the Hazelnut Praline, which I liked. It wasn't too sweet or overpowering. I ordered a single scoop, and it was just the right size to feed my craving, but not too much. The man behind the counter was quiet, but nice about letting me and my friend try different flavors. The absolute cutest treat on Congress. The space is such a great design. The staff is very helpful in explaining the flavors and dietary information of their offerings. The macarons are so well made. All of them are gluten free and about 1/3 of them are also dairy free. The flavor choices were endless! We discovered this place when they were at the Children's Museum Evening of Play. We had a macron and a chocolate. They were so pretty, delicate, and tasty that when I needed Christmas gifts I immediately contacted Stacy! She quickly helped me decide on size, packaging, and pricing. I went here with a couple friends last week after a Christmas party and was so excited to try this new spot downtown. I had seen it the previous week and was saddened I didn't have time to visit. It's a bright building that has gelato, macarons, and various chocolate bonbons. The furthest wall is painted to feel that you're in a cafe setting, which I thought was cute! When we arrived, there was few in the building, if anyone and 2 male workers up front. They greeted us and offered us samples of the ice cream. I didn't love it and moved to the macarons and truffles. I bought a pack of the 6 truffles and even tipped a couple dollars. However when we were leaving, we couldn't help but notice those who had just entered received a much different greeting, that included the shop background. I shrugged thinking, "maybe they asked". However, upon leaving I was informed by my friend of statements the workers had made regarding our intentions in the store. I really wish I had known about it before purchasing and tipping. It also seems that they didn't give the correct order for my 3rd friend. These 3 things make me question this establishment and my welcomeness here. I'm not sure I would return. read more

I decided to try this place today (12/14) after a Christmas Party at the Playground and the customer service was lackadaisical from the get go! Upon entering we were greeted in low tones. We chose to try a few flavors of the gelato after he offered but apparently that triggered his line of thinking that we weren't going to buy anything! I also tried the gingerbread, red velvet and some other flavored macaron and I honestly wasn't impressed enough to purchase. I opted for the chocolate gelato on a cone, one scoop but somehow ended up with two, for a grand total of almost $10, I tipped $2 but all the mumble tones were unbeknownst to me because I surely would've walked out had I heard them! I want my $12 after this experience, didn't even finish the gelato after my friend shared what she'd heard them saying... You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. (12/15) I'm back to amend my review. After speaking with Stacy, the owner who was very apologetic and responsive to my initial review. The gelato was delicious, I was surprised I enjoyed the lavender flavor but still opted for chocolate because it's my favorite. The decor is really cute, love the pink and white, it really gives the touch of a quintessential French Cafe! I'd go back just to sit in the window and sip hot cocoa and people watch. I ordered the Napoleon and good god what an abomination. Instead of flaky pastry with a delicate cream it was two thick bricks of frosting. Nothing about this was light, delicate, or flaky. Instead of decorative sweet icing on top there was just a bunch of powdered sugar piled on. It was deeply unpleasant to eat and bland tasting. I'm surprised anyone made this item and thought to themselves YEP, NAILED IT because this doesn't even look like a Napoleon. See attached pic. Anyway, I love French pastries but this place just isn't it :( The shop is super cute though so I guess if you want to look at the store instead of eating their pastries then that could be a nice experience?
