More often than not, this place is very inconsistent with their quantity. It all depends on who's working that day. One day you get OK portions, and the next time you come in you get half. Recently, I moved up to a plate because the portions in the bowl seemed to have gotten smaller. Now the portions of the plate have gotten ridiculous. Just shy of $17 for rice and couscous, cucumber, red, cabbage, and hardly any meat! $17 for a whole lot of water from vegetables and rice. How greedy does a place have to be? I know things are getting expensive but when you shrink the portions and raise the prices, you're just begging for people to just stop spending their money there. I guess it's been 10 years since I last stepped in here, and I didn't leave a review but I did leave a photo ha. Anyway, I picked up a couple of build-your-own-plates for our carryout dinner. They were each $12.95 and a decent deal as far as value. Both plates had two proteins - chicken shawarma and falafel, and came with a nice warm pita bread. Even when dining in, the meats aren't always piping hot depending on how long they have been under the lamp, and even more tastiness is lost in carry-out mode. I really love Naf Naf, I was having a stressful day today and had a lovely encounter with the counter worker Alejandro. He had a thicker accent so I didn't fully hear what he was saying, but he is such a sweetheart. The standard for how we treat customers has 100% become forgotten, but I'd say Alejandro really has an amazing attitude for his service. I'm not sure he knew how much his kindness brightened my day. I don't think hospitality is ever recognized enough in the food industry. Hopefully this reaches the right people. Thank you, again to the staff there today!!!! I like that they have middle eastern style pickles, which is important for a true falafel. Hot sauce was legit! This is also important. The first time I ordered here a few months ago, the food was good but not as good as the location on Touhy near Village Crossing. I ordered a hummus and chicken shawarma plate, and the chicken was pretty burnt, which as a result made it dry. The hummus was very good, but the chicken was so disappointing. The bowl honestly didn't have much chicken in it either, which was annoying because you pay more for the protein and the other location gives way more. However, because I didn't like their chicken, it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't get much. The baba ganoush I put into the hummus was delicious. I won't get their hummus plate again, but I ordered from here again a few days ago and I had a totally opposite experience than I had the first time. I ordered a chicken shawarma pita, and it was very good. Still, some of the chicken was a little hard, but it was SO much better than the chicken I received the first time. I also tried their falafel the other day, and that was fresh and tasted so good. I have never eaten inside this location and I have never stepped foot into this location, so I cannot make a comment on the physical place. Overall, I don't mind ordering from this location, but I really like the other location on Touhy near Village Crossing more. Eugh. Naf Naf no bueno. Came here on a weeknight after a long flight, already pretty grossed out by the options near my Residence Inn (Panda Express, Chipotle, Steak N' Shake). Mediterranean food sounded promising, but this is not your grandmother's Mediterranean cooking - assuming she's Mediterranean. This was more like something my very not-Mediterranean grandmother would make: Hummus out of a tub with some pickles and way too much cream sauce. The "pita" smelled like Brown n' Serve rolls, and there's ketchup near the forks and napkins. I get what this place is going for: Fast-casual, Chipotle-style eats for the short-on-time but still gastronomically curious connoisseur. One of the Yelp tips for this place claims that it's the best food one patron has ever eaten. It's obviously a subjective claim, so tread with caution. But it's also some insight into the very broad distribution of palates served by the Naf. Out of the 5 restaurants in this complex, this probably is the best meal most people have ever eaten. Odds may be good that I was in the .01% of underwhelmed diners. I wish you better odds! Prices aren't terrible ($9 for a bigger-than-desired Hummus + chicken bowl), but I'd go for smaller portions and prices if I had a choice. There's not much variety in the menu - pita or bowl, choice of protein, veggies or no, choice of sauces (might want to ask for those on the side, because they will *give* you the sauce). You get a pita bread on the side if you get a bowl. Realistically I'll never be back here, which works out pretty well for me. If you're in the area and need to mix up your Chipotle game, check this place out - it may just be the best meal of your life. read more

I have never left Naf Naf hungry or feeling weighed down. My go to is either a rice or lettuce bowl with chicken shawarma, double scoop of tomato and cucumber salad, extra pickles, double scoop of garlic sauce and a hearty scoop of the green 'shug' sauce 2 falafels on the side. That will definitely hold you over for hours! Their couscous and hummus are also delicious as a base. You really can't go wrong with anything on this menu! On top of that they throw in one of their warm, fluffy, delicious pitas. You can stuff it full of your bowls contents or get a side of garlic sauce and bathe the pita in the sauce as a delicious side. TBH - You could sleep on a pile of their pitas and be the comfiest you've ever been. PS: They do a great job with catering as well! Our turn to order and I wanted chicken shawarma and they were just finishing it up so had to wait a moment. Well they bring the new batch and they dumped the greasy bottom of the pan chicken that was left from the old batch on top of the fresh and before she went to grab that gross oily chicken I asked if she could stir up the meat (to mix it in) but nope, I got s pile of oily chicken on my rice. Everyone else got the the fresh chicken. I asked for extra sauce but just got a tiny drizzle (garlic) and once I mixed my bowl, of course no flavor. Basically - come in here and you order 1 of 3 main entrees - chicken, beef, or falafel. You can order it as a bowl on top or rice or hummus. I got the rice bowl with chicken - which operated a lot like a Chipotle burrito bowl ordering process. So if you're familiar with Chipotle- which i'm sure you are - you would feel right at home here. A couple visits since they reopened after COVID precautions. These folks really have their act together! They are asking customers to wear masks, themselves wear masks, and food prep wears gloves. So many places have signs about masks, then have their people just breathe all over things anyway. Good job, Naf Naf! The food is great, even with their slightly reduced menu. Anything we want is there, so this doesn't affect us, actually. ;-) This helps them both keep costs in line during this time of reduced business, and makes sure they can do a good job with what the have on hand! I've really warmed up to the quick-concept Naf Nafs (although their fuller-menu Niles location is still king to me). The falafel is good, the fresh fluffy pitas are great, and all of the tasty things that you can stuff into that pocket make it a complete meal. Add up hummus, falafel, Jerusalem salad, cabbage, onions, garlic sauce, and tahini, and you have a balanced, delicious, extremely filling package. Here I finally tried the "Naf Naf fries" which are like thick chips. They were pretty good, but I would love a side of garlic sauce in which to dip them instead of just ketchup.
