This place is on the side of a plaza, which I passed and nearly missed it, because the sign is not easily visible when driving down. The flavors of these cakes I tried were all yummy, and I especially liked the taste and texture of Hojicha cake! They even put an ice pack in my box, which was much needed, since I drove back over an hour. It's the only place I've ever gotten an ice pack when buying anything. Thank you! Definitely coming back when visiting Torrance.

The Cream Puffs still slap after all these years as well as the cheesecake! They do not play when it comes to Japanese Dessert. Do not let the strip mall fool you, this bakery cranks out a lot of Cream Puffs and they do sell out so call ahead of time to make sure you secure the goods. A brat called this the "best tasting Cream Puffs" he has ever had. You'll have to try to find out!

A hidden gem to those who pass by western ave. They have some of THE BEST cream puffs (super soft inside and a nice crumble on the outside) all items were very good and shareable. Total for all items including a cream puff was around $36 including tip! They have their own parking and no place to sit down!

The best strawberry shortcake I've ever had. It's not too sweet, the cream is so light, and the cake is super fluffy and soft. Very good strawberry flavor that does not taste artificial at all. I have called to order 1 day ahead, and they were still able to prepare it in time. The 5" is the perfect size for 4 people! I've ordered the strawberry shortcake 3 times already and will continue ordering from here :)

Delicious cakes! Lots of parking available in this lot. There are no tables or places to sit to enjoy the cakes. Everything is take out. My favorite was the strawberry roll cake. Definitely worth a visit!

Will they or won't they? It's a question we ask ourselves each time we visit Nagomi Cake House. The answer was a resounding YES! They have coffee jelly in the display case! Sometimes we arrive too late and it's " No coffee jelly for you!" Oh well, the consolation prize is just as sweet provided that my favorite cake isn't sold out! Enjoy!

This place is a hidden delish Japanese sweet goods. All their baked goods are wonderful, not too sweet but tasty and after one bite, it's hard to stop. Great friendly and lovely service from the owner. The place is very basic clean room. Most are take away. Plenty of parking since it's in a small and few shops (late open) plaza.

My friend and I stopped here randomly because we were in the area. I'm a sucker for Japanese cheesecake, so of course we had to get the Soft Souffle Cheesecake slices. This place is a small takeout spot, and the lady working the counter was super friendly. I expected it to be good, but not so good that I didn't care enough to take a better pic of it. Perfectly light and fluffy, it practically melted in my mouth. I'm already dreaming of the next time I'll be down in SoCal.

Get the cream puffs! They are delicious! After a disappointing lunch on New Year's Day I was pleasantly surprised that there was a Japanese bakery open nearby. We ended up spoiling ourselves and got an entire box of dessert to-go. In total we ordered 4 cream puffs, 1 hojicha cake, 2 roll cakes, and 1 chestnut cake. After devouring one of the cream puffs in the car I immediately went back to buy two more. They were the most delicious cream puffs I've ever had! The exterior had a nice crispy texture and the cream inside was overflowing! So far, I've tried all the desserts we bought and everything was good! The cakes are so light and fluffy, and not too sweet. Nagomi Cake House has definitely made it to my must-visit list of places to go in Gardena! I'm going to be dreaming of these delicious desserts for a while.

The hubby bought slices of cake for our anniversary celebration. We had matcha, strawberry roll cake and Sakura cake. Each one was unique and the cake was all so soft and moist. I loved the unique texture of the Sakura cake. Wonderful pastries. It was a great find!

Whole Cheesecake for a family birthday celebration. Beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious!

This place is an absolute GEM. I have been here about ten times already and wanted to wait until I'd tried nearly everything before giving my honest review. The people working here are very polite and the shop is always clean. Everything here tastes fabulous, I'm certain of it. I've tried the cheesecake, the chocolate layer cake, a passion fruit dessert, a strawberry roll cake, (and a couple other things I can't remember the name of) and we have ordered whole cakes for family gatherings on 3 occasions; ONE of which (2 whole cheesecakes) was ordered about 72 hours ahead and they were kind enough to make it happen anyway! Each and EVERY ONE of the desserts was PHENOMENAL. Listen: don't cheat yourself. This is an experience you NEED. Nothing is overly-sweet, or heavy. BRILLIANT! I highly recommend coming to The Incredible Nagomi Cake House when you want something sweet! You'll be so glad you did!

12/6/2024 4 1/2 Stars 1 star taken off because the cakes weren't their best. Wish Yelp would create 1/2 stars. YUZU CITRUS MOUSSE Creamy yuzu mousse cake. This cake was lightly sweetened and had a delightful yuzu flavor and candied yuzu pieces in the mousse. Light cocoa cake on the bottom. The mousse and cream was good, but not the best in texture. There was a bit of gelatin in it and the cream was a bit thick. COFFEE CREAM CAKE Layered coffee cream cake with chocolate malt balls decorated on top. Light coffee flavored cream and cake. Overall it was okay, but it was not made fresh, so the cream was thick and the malt balls were not crunchy, but a bit soggy. Not my favorite. CREAM PUFFS One of the reasons I come back to Nagomi Cake House. I love the cream puffs here. NCH calls it cream puff because it's easier to call it that, but this is actually a choux au craquelin. This is a dressed up cream puff with a thin cookie-like crunchy texture on top of the cream puff. It is hard to find any bakery in OC or in LA that make choux au craquelins. There were a few I knew that used to make them, such as Croissants Du Tokyo in Gardena and Domi (which only has this on their catering menu now). Happy that they still have this on their menu. If I wish one thing is that NCH they would add the filling fresh, so it will still be crispier when you eat it. It is still has a light craquelin crunch, but due to the filling, it does get soft fast. The vanilla diplomat cream filling is creamy and delicious and does not have that eggy smell. CUSTOMER SERVICE Service has always been good here. Everyone is nice. No complaints! NO SEATS There is no indoor or outdoor seats. Only take-out.

the yummiest & cutest cakes around!! parking is easy to find in the square, and service was very quick, just note they are takeout only right now and the dining area is closed. all of these cakes are so beautifully designed, every swirl and piece of fruit is meticulously placed!! and they have mastered the art of sweet, but not too sweet with each of their desserts strawberry shortcake: i'm a sucker for a strawberry shortcake and this one did not disappoint! so light and refreshing. hojicha: i haven't tried a hojicha flavored dessert before, but it was pretty much what i expected it would taste like. i appreciate that they stayed true to the flavors and didn't add anything to take away from it. classic chocolate cake: i'm not usually a huge chocolate fan, so i was happy that the chocolate flavor isn't overly rich on this one! cream puff: i am a sucker for a cream puff... and this might be my favorite. so light and airy, and the whipped cream inside is like a dream! will be back again :)

Great pastries, and they're so pretty too!…read more I really enjoyed the mango pastry. It isn't overly sweet, which says a lot coming from an Asian! The mango had the perfect balance of tart and creamy. It wasn't too heavy, and it's easy to finish one by yourself. I also tried the pistachio, and it was really good too! It's nutty with a strong pistachio flavor, and again, not overly sweet. It even has little chunks of pistachio throughout, which adds a nice texture. If you love pistachio, this is definitely the one to get. I would definitely come back and try some of their other flavors!

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

The store inside is postage stamp sized with no where to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry, but the variety and quality of their product more than makes up for that. Besides, I know how expensive commercial space and labor are. On this visit I sampled sweet and savory offerings (sourdough, gluten free bread, cinnamon roll and bun and a chocolate croissant) First let me say that everything is handmade and being organic means that there is nothing in the mix that shouldn't be there, but most importantly everything was delish. I am not a sweet fiend, I am more of a savory guy and I was more than happy with everything that I sampled. The breads contained no added sugars and the pastries were lite on sugar and glaze. The flavors were honest and pure. My favorite of the bunch was the chocolate croissant. It was flakey, buttery and filled with the most delightful dark chocolate morsels; not too sweet, not too bitter just pure goodness. It paired well with my coffee, but should pair equally well with a glass of milk. Heck, all this talk has got me hungry for another one!!! Lastly, I respect and appreciate a company that stands behind their product (no compromise). Again, everything is certified organic and the dough is slow fermented (30 hours). This process enhances flavor, texture, digestibility for the gluten sensitive, better bioavailability of nutrients and enhances shelf life without adding preservatives. Finally, the young lady at the counter was super pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. I managed retail for nearly 20 years and I know good customer service when I see it and you will find none better than at Frogs. I will certainly be back to sample the rest of the menu.
