needed to order a birthday cake for my dad, wanted something on the less sweeter side. ive never heard of a sweet potato cake before, both of my parents love sweet potato, sooo check and check. visited a few days prior to the actual birthday to put in an order. i was a day shy, so they need at least 3 days notice but, they were able to get the cake ready in 2 days. i paid in advanced for a small sweet potato cake $37.00 the bakery is very clean and organized service was great! pick up was easy! they had the cake ready. my parents both loved the cake. parking: smaller shared parking lot

Cute little bakery in Gardena! They had a variety of different selections of korean bread like curry bread or black sesame red bean bread which I don't see often. Pricing is similar to the korean bakeries in Orange County and staff were kind.

Korean bakery with a great asortment of breads and cakes. Cake I bought was delicious and loved that it had candles and cutting knife in packaging.

Love this bakery and visit it at least twice sometimes three times a week! Love the coffee danish bread, not too sweet. Just right and a little crunchy. I buy the walnut bread for sandwiches which is not like any other bread I've ever had. Makes a sandwich that much better. Love the little crunch from the walnuts. Jin there is. Sweetheart and always greets you with a smile. The little thin disk cookies with I believe almonds are so delish I buy two bags each time I go. I am addicted to this place and hate the weekends cause I always go in on my way to work.

My husband took a bite and said it tastes like peanuts. And my son got a bad allergic reaction after eating a few bites.

The pastries are yummy, but DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES! They use the same packaging for all of their baked goods whether or not there are nuts. So things with nuts in them will not be clearly labeled as having nuts. My mom even asked if there were nuts in anything she bought. They said no. Well, my son ate half a pastry (in packaging that said there were no nuts) and got a bad allergic reaction this morning. He still doesn't feel good and I am monitoring him after giving him meds. I am leaving this review to caution other people. If the pastries were properly and clearly marked and if the owners didn't reassure us that there were no nuts, I wouldn't have to leave this review. Again, the pastries are yummy but be careful if you are buying this for anyone with allergies! I am giving 2 stars because the owners are nice and the pastries are yummy. But it's not worth it if someone gets ill eating them!

We had so many eggshells in the cake. The frosting is slightly different than most asian bakeries, it feels a little heavier and oilier.

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. And yes, this update took so long to be made because when I write reviews, especially in this case, I often do different reviews all at once.)

They do have some really good cream puff flavors, the vanilla cream is my go-to, and my kids love the chocolate. The customer service needs some work. Every single time I've been there, it kind of feels like the staff is just not thrilled to help, and that vibe definitely takes away from the experience. I keep coming back because the cream puffs are delicious, but I really wish they'd at least crack a smile or make you feel a bit more welcome. I did see a fly on a cream puff once, and while they did toss it out after I pointed it out, it'd be great if they covered the pastries so that doesn't happen. And be prepared to wait a bit because they fill the puffs to order, which is nice for freshness but can slow things down.

We came to Wagyu Butcher on a Friday night early dinner for our anniversary after a recommendation…read morefrom friends and it did not disappoint. If you're gonna splurge, go all out, am I right? But seriously, they offer 3 levels of omakase and the lowest tier does not seem worth it IMO. While you do get Wagyu, it's all lesser cuts. The middle level is the minimum to make the exp worth it, but as I said above, if you're going to splurge, get the full A5 experience! You won't regret it! Stepping into the restaurant, there is a small vestibule of sorts that separate the entrance from the actual dining area creating a sense of separation. Diners all sit along a huge c-shaped counter where there are gas burners for every 2 seats. Servers lean over the counter to take orders and provide advice on how to best cook your meat. You start off with a mix of small bites equating to the appetizer course. All levels come w a Wagyu sashimi which had just the right amount of savory and a great way to foreshadow dishes to come. At the start, the chef reviews the meats for that evening's meal. He was very cheerful but TBH, I couldn't only understand every other word he said but the message was clear -- this A5 meat is from Japan and high quality. Before every course, servers would reiterate the cut and its accompanying sauce as well as give grilling instructions. While I was nervous about having to cook these small $$$$ cuts on my own, it turned out ok. I just erred on the shorter side and threw pieces back on the grill if too chewy. All the A5 cuts were buttery and delicious. Our omakase came A5 cuts of filet, chuck flap, striploin and sukiyaki. All the meats were already pre seasoned to some degree and meant to be eaten with specific sauces but I liked to sample each piece as is before trying it with the sauces. The filet and chuck flap I thought were better on their own. The striploin was my favorite though as it was a thick strip that god a good, Cheung char on its sides but middle was still rather rare and you could bite through so easily. Second was the sukiyaki which was drenched in a whipped butter and so flavorful. The non-Wagyu items were fillers. The short rib was decent and flavorful but the skirt and sirloin were so sinewy and chewy even after longer grill times. They were lowlights and why I don't think the middle or lower omakase levels are worth it. The top level also came with a shrimp ajillo and bone marrow dish which was basically giant, raw, butterflies shrimp cooked in melted marrow. The shrimp took on a beefy undertone while the marrow had a shrimpy flavor. You had a small slice of a grilled baguette to eat and I used it with w marrow. It was so decadent and rich and unexpected. Definitely a stand out dish. Finally the meal ends with a butcher curry (which was delicious, I could eat a giant bowl of that on its own). The portion that comes w the omakase is not big but it's mean to fill you up if you're not yet full. Then came "chef's dessert" which was a light and fluffy but of a strawberry cake with raspberry sauce. Though hefty on the wallet, the meal was fantastic and we had a great time. All that said, I wish the side sauces had been better communicated at the start of the meal (salt, garlic paste, pepper powder and negishio(?)) and and to call the experience interactive is kind of generous since interactions are just them explaining the foods and is not any "more interactive" than interacting with wait staff other restaurant. But that's such a minor complaint as we could have asked about the side items or engaged with the staff more. Highly recommended but come prepared to spend. Else save up so you can spend.

Worth it! Worth it! WORTH IT!…read more True Kagoshima wagyu, A5-grade. If try it, and find you don't like it, then you should be honest with yourself and realize wagyu ain't for you. 24-seats, and they surely fill up during the weekends. The weeknights are more down tempo, and easier to get a seat reserved. The whole experience is the first place to really remind me of Japan, and really stab that dagger of yearning deep into your guts of wanting to go back. And eat. It's the kind of attention and hospitality you get from like, a locals spot in Kyoto. If you can handle all the rich fatty goodness, and you crave calories, the premium menu at $90 should do the job. I opted for the $10 supplement of A5 wagyu sushi... and honestly, as the last course before dessert, I was all wagyu'd out. Like my gallbladder didn't have any bile to spare to deal with the absolute rich, fatty goodness. But $10 for 2 pieces of wagyu sushi is an EXCELLENT deal, considering most other sushi spots will easily charge you $20+++ for the luxury. One of the surprises for me was how good their house curry is. I will tell you, I am not a curry person. I grew up on Thai curry. I've had Indian curry. British Indian curry. Japanese curry from all over the place, especially multiple times from Curry House will unfortunately perished during the disease lockdown of 2020. Never cared for it, simply tolerated it curry because family cooked it or a friend wanted it. But curry here is the first where I could go back for 2nds or 3rds, or even go out of my way to drive back here and get more. It's so uniquely harmonious and tantalizing in all the right ways. But every course, every cut of beef, even the USDA Prime stuff, worked for me. And the side of condiments is just... it should be the standard everywhere. Salt. Yuzu Kosho. Grated garlic. Red pepper powder. Season to your personal taste, to already lush, melt-in-your-mouth luscious beef. I'm at the place in my life where I do not need to eat "all that I can." That stage where in life where you mature, and where what you require... "your tastes are simple. Only the BEST." I've had different wagyu beef courses that easily cost $200+, in places in LA which we will not whisper about in hushed tones. Wagyu Butcher bests those places, a bitchsmacks the hot diarrhea shit out of the competition in preparation, quality, service, and value. I'd easily be a regular here, even when it's over an hour's drive across multiple freeways, far and away from me.
