This is my favorite bakery in Gardena. It has a very casual and welcoming vibe. The parking lot is spacious, and the shop is always clean and well kept. One thing I wish they had more of is seating, as there aren't many tables to enjoy your food inside. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive. They often remember customers and greet you warmly, which makes the experience feel even more special. The bread and cakes are delicious, and the portions are quite generous. What a cute hidden gem in Gardena. I used to come to this plaza to go to karaoke when I lived in Torrance but never knew there was a Korean bakery here. Now that I work in Torrance, I was looking to buy some pastries for my coworkers before going in and found this place. It was a bit tough since no bakery was open this early in this area. I went around 7 AM, and most of the breads were still in the pan, right out of the oven, waiting to be individually packaged. So many varieties to choose from, from classics to newer baked goods. I got about 10 baked goods in a variety, including Soboro, Soboro with Red Beans, Mocha Bun, Almond Bun, Sugared Twist, Castella, and more. Prices range from $3 to $10 for bigger portions. I say, a bit more than 85°C, but it only makes sense since this bakery is locally owned. The lady helping me was very attentive and friendly. She was so busy because there were so many senior Korean customers ordering coffee one after another while she was trying to package the breads to put on shelves, and of course, I was there asking questions. This is a wonderful business, no fuss, just kind, reasonable, with good hours--sometimes we want cafe food after 4pm, and this is one place we can go when that mood strikes. Outdoor tables are perfect. Plenty of free parking (there's a back parking lot of the spaces in front are full). Wheelchair accessible and there are a lot of pre-packaged pastries with ingredients labeled clearly. If you have allergies, or if you're buying treats for a group, this is so helpful. read more

Love this bakery and visit it at least twice sometimes three times a week! Love the coffee danish bread, not too sweet. Just right and a little crunchy. The pastries are yummy, but DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES! They use the same packaging for all of their baked goods whether or not there are nuts. So things with nuts in them will not be clearly labeled as having nuts. My mom even asked if there were nuts in anything she bought. They said no. Well, my son ate half a pastry (in packaging that said there were no nuts) and got a bad allergic reaction this morning. He still doesn't feel good and I am monitoring him after giving him meds. I am leaving this review to caution other people. If the pastries were properly and clearly marked and if the owners didn't reassure us that there were no nuts, I wouldn't have to leave this review. Again, the pastries are yummy but be careful if you are buying this for anyone with allergies! I am giving 2 stars because the owners are nice and the pastries are yummy. I few weeks ago I found this small Korean bakery I got thier Walnut pies last time. It was sooo good. Also, the price was even cheaper than other korean bakeries. I came back to get the Walnut pies and I picked up some other breads. This time I picked up 2 walnut pies and a moca bun, a red bean and mozzi bread, a custard bread, a sweet potato pie, red bean bread, cheast nut manju, cheast nut bread. I wanted to get apple pies as well, but unfortunately they were all sold out..next time.. Most of breads tasted good. Especially, the Moca bun was my favorite, also, the custard bread was pleasantly sweet and so delicious. It was just about right. The red bean and mozzi bread was good, too. I like to freeze my red bean bun and eat it with milk. Also, the sweet potato pie and the chestnut manju.. I think I will stop by for those next time I visit Torrance. read more
