Came here on a Saturday late morning. There were still quite a lot of breads left. The staff were nice about explaining each type of bread 1. Croissant 2. Chocolate chip cookie 3. This is the second time I have gone to this pop-up bakery Noga bread is delicious phenomenal I've never had any croissant type of puff pastry baked goods like this place they put in a lot of love and a lot of work and it shows their products is top-notch absolutely stellar. Everything went well. The line is always long at the Torrance Farmers Market but it's because the sellers never get tired of helping the costumers learn about each and every pastry and bread. The two of them are soooo patient, warm and pleasant, hence, the $135 bill. The ones they recommended are great. Every single one of them tasted good. The bread is good, but I hate having to wait in line for it. A little wait is fine, but this is ridiculous. Even when there are only five people ahead of me, it feels like there are fifty. The staff keep chatting with people who aren't even in line, and everything moves so slowly. The prices aren't even the main issue just don't want to spend forever waiting. This is hands down the best croissant I've ever had in my life. I first tried this spot before visiting Paris and thought it would just be a foretaste of Parisian croissants, but even when in Paris I couldn't get this spot out of my mind. Even the many croissants in Paris could not live up to the buttery flaky layers of the Noga croissant. I will say $6 used to be more worth it when their croissants were enormous but I went again today and they've downsized their croissants SIGNIFICANTLY. Like tiny. I actually wanted to cry. Went at like 9am Saturday morning. Found parking right away. Stood in line for not too long. Luckily the sun wasn't out and people were friendly. Seasonal menu was passed down to look at while you wait. Standard menu was up front. This 7 items but a full baguette = $53. Not bad considering the heirloom tomato pastry (whipped goat cheese, garlic confit, and herbs on flaky pastry) was the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I am SO happy I got two. There was a long line on a rainy Saturday morning and each party took at least 5 mins to process (between small talk and making a decision). It took 30 mins total from entering to getting my order. Prices are on the high side, around $6-8 per pastry (and it's not listed unless you ask them). Sandwiches and other breads are at least $10+. The classics weren't anything special and definitely wasn't worth going out of the way for. Pastries were buttery / greasy (it was particularly noticeable after reheating). Grabbed the Olive Sesame Seed Loaf, Chocolate Chunk Cookie, Pumpkin Cheesecake Danish, Green Apple Crumble Braided Croissant, and the Merguez Sausage & Cheese Croissant. Everything was solid, but for me the Pumpkin Cheesecake Danish and the Merguez Sausage & Cheese Croissant really stood out. The Danish had a good balance of sweetness and texture, and the croissant was flaky with a nice savory kick. It's an outdoor setup, so it's pretty chill, and things move fast -- definitely go early if you want a decent selection. The quality is fabulous but after visiting them many times... it's frustrating that the chef (or baker) prioritizes spending time and chatting about products with other chefs, influencers, outta state visitors, etc. while regulars wait in line never been acknowledged or thanked for waiting patiently. Today this happened again. As we waited in line 20-25 mins she spent the entire time chatting with the same couple about their process. She made eye contact with me 3x but never a breath away from her convo. We left... she was still talking while the other baker handled all the orders herself... again. Your product is amazing! Recently we took a trip to Europe, we are massive foodies, and we didn't realize how lucky we are in the South Bay to have Noga until we compared everything we ate in Europe to their pastries.
