Don't order delivery from here... I get that it can take DoorDash (can't even order off of DoorDash, you have to use some other app off their website) to take a while to pick up an order, and I get if you're busy and it take a while to prepare the meal, but why was my order ready 30min before it was even scheduled to be picked up? And now, once we finally get our food, it will be pushing an hour and a half old... not really the way you want your potstickers and sushi...

    Sushi Sashimi Lover meal

I came here for lunch because I had a sushi craving, and it was nearby with good reviews. We ordered two lunch specials as pictured. One was the Two Basic Rolls lunch, which came with two sushi rolls off the basic list (I got salmon and spicy salmon) as well as your choice of soup, salad, or egg roll. We elected for the Miso soup. For under $12 after tax, I thought this was a reasonable price, with two rolls and a pint of tasty soup. The rolls were far from the best I've ever had, but better than what you'd find in the grocery store too. The other meal was the Sashimi Lovers plate which was "chef's choice" with multiple pieces of sashimi as well as a California roll, also paired with a pint of soup. This was about $23 so a bit expensive for lunch, but I will say it was a large and filling portion of food. The sashimi was not as cold as I would expect, was a bit bland on flavor, and one of the pieces seemed to be from an inured fish because the meat was soft and broke apart easily. All told, it was not exceptional but suitably decent for lunch. Prices were fair for the amount of food you get, and the service was quick. I'll probably come back here for an affordable sushi lunch again.

Incredibly impressed with this restaurant! The sesame chicken lunch special was deliciously amazing and was big enough for two meals! The crab Rangoons were crispy and delicious and paired with a delectable sweet & sour sauce. Love love love! Will 100% revisit.

Shinko is a good easy sushi restaurant. I always get the U pick 3 bento box as it has the best value and variety. Quick and easy for takeout and dining in.

It was hard to decide between Mexican and Asian tonight. Obviously we went Asian. I've had Shinko Grill delivered before and it was good. We actually dined in tonight, the food was decent, however, for a place where you order your food at a counter and get your own drinks, I find it over priced. The Bang Bang Shrimp was actually just their fried shrimp with a spicy sauce they give you on the side. Not truly Bang bang shrimp, oh, and they 'forgot' to give us the 'bang bang' sauce. The General Tso's was ordered with a spring roll which is not in the photo because they forgot that as well. We went to the counter and they did give us the sauce and spring roll. Sadly there were only a couple people in there, so it's not like they were really busy and forgot, they just forgot. I don't know about anyone else, but if I'm paying over 2.50 (these were 2.75) for a drink, I think there should be alcohol in it. Two adults, and just noodles and a drink for a 4 year old, and it was almost 45.00. I know food cost are going up, but for what they give you here it's ridiculous. They really need to improve on their sushi, some of the saddest Cali rolls, but all in all edible.

General yeah ok chunks of chicken where !!! look at those little pieces of chicken

I tried I can't over priced. Had the general tso with noddles. Measly piceces of chicken & broccoli. Noddles were slimy. The crab Rangoon might as well been called cream cheese Rangoon. I won't be back

Time is now 5:30, ordered created at 5:08

Good sushi spot. Not a sit down restaurant. Order at the counter and then sit although the dining room wasn't open due to COVID.

After placing a call to Little Tokyo to confirm they too weren't filled to capacity, we headed there for our sushi fix, and it made me regret not having visited sooner. Little Tokyo boasts a pleasant, relaxing ambiance that made it a welcome refuge from the night's rather intense rain. The menu here is Japanese (sushi, sashimi, hibachi, etc.) albeit with some Korean and Chinese influences. The selection of sushi rolls is extensive, and quite a few of them sounded intriguing. Admittedly, the Italian (a California roll topped with white fish, tomato sauce, and cheese) was a bridge too far even for me. My wife and I came hungry and went with two apps (steamed dumplings and vegetable gyoza), four rolls, and two misos. The food was, across the board, quite good. Whereas some miso can blast you with salt, Little Tokyo's broth benefitted from an underlying richness. Our sushi was beautifully plated and tasted fresh. Of the rolls we tried, the Bulgoki (beef, crab, cucumber, and eel sauce) was my favorite. Prices here are reasonable for the quality of the food (rolls in the low-mid teens, most apps under $10), and severs are polite. The kitchen isn't lightning fast, but we didn't find the wait unreasonable. Based on ratings, I expected "good," and based on hunger levels and a desire to be out of the rain, I would have settled for "OK." Little Tokyo, however, ended up being surprisingly great.

Took out my trusty Yelp app, and something of an Asian influence sounded good to me. I found this really well rated spot not far from my location, so I decided to head over. Shipp Sushi Casual is a small restaurant located inside a strip mall next to the Wal-Mart in this area. It's non-descript, but inside, is actually decorated nicely. Lots of greenery and small touches. They do have table service, though I would have been fine just to order at the counter. There is a huge TV in there, and unfortunately for me, it was loudly blaring Fox News at the time, though the channel was changed several times while I was there. In either case, a little less volume would have been appreciated. There was a miscommunication on my order, and now that I look at the menu again, it is clear to see why. There are two sections right next to each other, "Soup Udon" and "Spicy Udon" the former is soup, the latter, is a stir-fry. That said, in the soup section there is a dish titled "Spicy Seafood Udon" and in the stir-fry section a dish titled "Spicy Udon Seafood." I ordered the latter (even pointed to it), but was brought out soup. You could see why this would be confusing, the waitress should have asked for clarity, or the menu needs to be changed. I didn't have the time to wait for an entirely new dish to be made, so I accepted the Udon soup. Now having the soup, I will say, I was very happy with the portion. The amount of veggies, noodles, and seafood made it very filling, and the broth was indeed spicy. However, I wish the broth had a more robust flavor, as opposed to just being spicy. Ultimately, I was really wanting the stir fry, and though I do like a good soup, it just didn't scratch my itch. All that said, I'd give it another try, and be very specific with what I want next time. Overall, I think they're making good hot food here, and they care about what is rolling out from the kitchen. I'll be back!
