Salmon Cakes*

Love this place!! We sat outside on their patio which is SO nice! It's beautifully decorated with the greenery and felt nice temperature wise with the big fans. The food here never disappoints, I have tried almost everything and it's all amazing. My favorite are the salmon cakes, black bean cakes, and grilled salmon. Their okra side is SO good for the summer. They usually have a succotash side for the summer which is literally amazing, so hoping they bring that back soon! The service is generally good here, our waiter this last time was generally nice, just slightly snippy and unfriendly- but didn't affect our great dinner. My family and I love this place for special celebrations to normal weekday dinners!

Green Valley Grill always has exciting new things on the menu and has a brunch that can't be beat. It is a bit pricey, but you are getting a high end experience, down to the servers and waitstaff in semi formal attire.

I treated myself to breakfast at Green Valley Grill yesterday, and I'm so glad I did. The French toast, fruit, and coffee were all delicious. The service was excellent. I always love GVG!

Went here for my birthday dinner with my wonderful family so the atmosphere was superb. The short ribs are to die for. The chicken I ordered was good as always. Polenta was on point. Salmon delish. I always line this place. Service excellent. It never disappoints.

Green Valley does not disappoint ! So glad we were able to make a reservation, we were able to walk right in and have no wait. Our waitress was very pleasant and very prompt. I enjoyed my scallops and wine. Even tried a few mussels from my husband's paella, they were also very tasty. The dining room is big and spacious but our booth felt very private. Even the bathrooms had a feel of class!

Crema Catalina. A special for the winemakers dinner.

GVG may not be your first thought for breakfast but I'd suggest it should be. The breakfast and brunch menu is great and reflects the menu/feel of the lunch and dinner menus. Service is excellent and the prices are very fair. One of the things I really like about breakfast there is that you can make reservations which works out well on the weekends. Excellent food, excellent environment, great people, and a wonderful experience. Give it a try!

I can't say enough about how much our family loves eating at Green Valley Grill! The chicken salad is so good. The cocktails are pretty yummy as well. We've tried so many items on the menu and have enjoyed them all. The service is always outstanding and such a supportive crew. The ambiance is so comfortable and suffocated! Inside or outside you can't go wrong! Oh and don't miss out on the bread!

Four of us came for Sunday brunch. I was immediately impressed with the decor and overall warm feel of the interior. The staff were very attentive and friendly, excellent service. The cocktails were well made and delicious. The menu offer excellent choices for both the breakfast side and the lunch side. We started with the Mediterranean Tapas platter. Followed by the Avocado Ciabatta Toasts, the Grilled Chicken salad and the Parmesan crusted Chicken. All of these dishes were plentiful and delicious. We have got to come back here for dinner. This place is great.

My favorite local place that never disappoints. I've already been a couple times in one month. My filet was like butter. The potato leek soup is always delish and the drinks are always made with love.

We dined at Green Valley Grill before a concert last weekend and had a great experience! We made the reservation for 3:30 a few weeks in advance and were seated right away. What drew me to this spot were the reviews, menu, and atmosphere prior to reserving. Their menu is fairly extensive and we ordered off the dinner menu. They have an incredibly impressive wine list. Our server greeted us about five minutes after we sat down and was helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and we loved the interior architecture of the building. We both got waters and I opted for my usual white wine, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It was good! Our server also offered warm bread once we ordered our appetizer: Basque Beef Meatballs. They are served with pine nuts, wilted spinach, and a side of spiced saffron yogurt and crostini. Although slightly salty, these were delicious and melted in your mouth with a very unique flavor. For our entrées , my husband ordered the short rib sliders but on focaccia bread because he couldn't do dairy, and it was delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. I absolutely loved my dish. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and served with a goat cheese as well as a lemon garlic sauce which I got on the side. The mashed potatoes were great as well as the seasonal vegetables: perfectly cooked and seasoned zucchini squash. We had a great experience at the Green Valley Grill and would definitely come back if ever in Greensboro again!

If you're looking for a dining destination that makes a 90-minute drive feel worthwhile, book a table at Green Valley Grill! Stepping through the doors, you're immediately transported. The soaring ceilings and the glow of lights woven through the interior palm trees create a sophisticated, yet incredibly warm and cozy atmosphere provided by Morgan who provided top tier service. We were absolutely delighted by our appetizer choice! We dove into the crab and spinach dip and highly recommend asking for the sourdough toast chips instead of crackers--the tanginess is the perfect counterpoint to the creamy dip. My one small critique lies with the cocktails. While they were beautifully presented, they just missed that refined, handcrafted 'wow' factor that I look for. A good drink, but not an unforgettable one. Now, for the triumph: the main courses! The Parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes was a stunning balance of cozy Southern style and bright Mediterranean flair. And the massive spinach salad? That combination of sweet peaches and tangy goat cheese, all elevated by the dressing, was pure bliss. We would absolutely return. As a final pro tip: don't rush out! The stunning landscape outside the entrance is truly beautiful and makes for a fantastic backdrop to snap a few photos to remember your beautiful night.

Warm Grilled Salmon and Warm Farro Salad

Solid food and service every time. I do try to get something from the special features list since they aren't standard menu items. I can't say that I've ever been disappointed and this time was no exception! The first time, I got the warm salmon farro salad and it was so good! On a future visit, I tried the shrimp fattoush salad. I can't say it was a hit but I liked the freshness of the ingredients.

The filet mignon looks great. How many ounces is it?

The menu doesn't have the weight. It's only $36 so it's probably a 4-6oz filet. You may want to call first.

Can I wear a Tshirt and shorts?

Hi Gustino, You will see everything from a dinner jacket to shorts and t-shirt. It's as formal or casual as you like.

Is the outdoor seating heated?

I do not believe so

Great food, great ambiance, and an absolutely gorgeous patio overlooking the vineyard! We came here…read moreafter a stroll through Reynolda Village in Winston, followed by a bottle of wine on Rayson's relaxing outdoor patio. This dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day on a warm, sunny November evening. The food was excellent. We started with the baked brie wrapped in a buttery flaky pastry, and the goat cheese medallions with marinated peppers and olive tapenade. Both were delicious. For mains, I had the porcini mushroom and cheese stuffed ravioli in a beef ragu, and this dish was outstanding. Everything blended beautifully and melted in your mouth with that rich ragu surrounding it. I'd definitely order it again. My wife had the chicken gnocchi dish. The only slight miss was the gnocchi. It wasn't homemade and leaned more on the firm side rather than that soft, melt in your mouth texture. Outside of that, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the manchego spinach cream sauce was fantastic. What truly sets this place apart is the patio overlooking the vineyard. I highly recommend reserving a seat outside for the full experience. Looking forward to our next trip here!

Even without reservations we were seated on the (enclosed for winter) patio immediately. The patio affords lovely views of the vineyards. Both times we have visited it has been a little noisy due to a large group but hey they are having fun. I ordered the Chicken Gnocchi, which comes with capicola, manchego, spinach and creamy brown butter sage sauce. That sauce -- chef's kiss! It paired nicely with the Élevage Blanc wine. We got a slice of chocolate torte to go and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

Solid brunch spot with great service and lots of GF options -- execution needs a tune-up (4)…read more Visited The Refectory Cafe on a busy Sunday morning. Parking was tight but doable in the lot. The space is charming inside and out; the shaded patio has a nice vibe, though foot traffic to the entrance passes by those tables. Ordering is walk-up, and food is delivered to the table. Menu is broad with clear gluten-free indicators (huge plus). Coffee was dark and delicious, and service throughout was genuinely warm, knowledgeable, and fast -- easily 5 stars for hospitality. Getting to-go boxes was effortless and we were offered refills often. Food was a mixed bag. My wife had the gluten-free smoked salmon toast with avocado. She wished the veggies and tomato were grilled; the GF bread itself was very good, but the greens/tomato ended up pushed aside. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. The salmon portion felt light, and the hollandaise leaned more toward mustard than citrus and was a bit thin. Breakfast potatoes and veggies were nicely cut and well-seasoned but undercooked; same for the bacon, which tasted more tough than crisp. (I reheated the potatoes/veg at home -- flavor was there once cooked through.) Prices felt reasonable, ingredients seemed thoughtfully sourced, and the team's earnestness shines. With a little tighter execution (fully cooked potatoes/veg, crisper bacon, brighter/thicker hollandaise, slightly more salmon, grilled tomatoes), this would be an easy 5. I'll definitely be back -- I gave it a 3.7 but rounded it up to 4 stars for the service, coffee, and GF-friendly menu options.

What a gem! This café has a warm, inviting vibe with its colorful murals (the sunflower wall…read moreoutside is stunning!) and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We sat outside under their covered patio; it was drizzling when we arrived, but the space was still comfortable. When sitting outside you have to go inside to place your order but they bring it out to your table. My kids ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. They're a decent size for little ones, topped with fresh strawberries (tip: if your kiddos aren't into strawberries, just ask to have them on the side like I did). You can also add extras like chocolate chips or blueberries for a small up-charge; both of mine loved theirs. I ordered Huevos Rancheros Brunch, which was good. Crispy tostadas loaded with tender shredded steak, beans, lettuce, and cream, and ask for a fried egg cooked medium so the yolk spills out perfectly. It came with pico de gallo and jalapeños on the side (I skipped those, but if you like a kick, i'm sure they will add great flavor). I tried their seasonal S'mores Latte; sweet, creamy, and topped with whipped cream and drizzle. Their dessert case is worth a peek; cakes, cheesecakes, pies, even vegan-friendly options. Didn't have any but next time. The staff were all so kind and welcoming, smiles all around.
