Always a great choice. If you find yourself needing a lite bite or mid afternoon snack, you should try a bowl of their soup and their fresh bread. A great lite meal!
The food was definitely delicious!! They also accommodate to food restrictions and allergies. The ambiance for me isn't what I was hoping for BUT I'd come back again for their food and service!!
The restaurant is connected to the hotel. We can for brunch. The atmosphere was very nice. The music was loud (I thought there was a live band singing but there wasn't) but not too loud where you can't hear your guest speaking. My burger was good but wasn't that flavorful but the truffle fries were really good. My guest also ordered fries but they were over cooked which she advised the waitress but the waitress said it was because they were home fries even though mine were a whole lot lighter. The waitress even though she had a slight attitude, did bring out another set of fries that looked and taste much better. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but I probably would not be returning for brunch.
I have been eating here for many years. Not once have I ever experienced a bad plate nor service. Everything is always delicious, fresh, hot, and professional. The dinning areas are beautiful as well.
Beautiful venue. Wonderful atmosphere. Incredible food. Dinner for 4. 4 different entrees and 4 stars. Phew! What an awesome find!
Love this place!! We sat outside on their patio which is SO nice! It's beautifully decorated with the greenery and felt nice temperature wise with the big fans. The food here never disappoints, I have tried almost everything and it's all amazing. My favorite are the salmon cakes, black bean cakes, and grilled salmon. Their okra side is SO good for the summer. They usually have a succotash side for the summer which is literally amazing, so hoping they bring that back soon! The service is generally good here, our waiter this last time was generally nice, just slightly snippy and unfriendly- but didn't affect our great dinner. My family and I love this place for special celebrations to normal weekday dinners!
This dining experience for my son's birthday was close to perfect. The atmosphere was stunning. The dimly lit restaurant was calming and peaceful. We all ordered the filet and it was delicious. We ordered the Caesar salad for an up-charge of $2. I was surprised that there was no bread served.
This was a fantastic experience. My daughter and I were college visiting and stopped here before heading to the airport. It was a Saturday with no reservations and they told us there was just room at the bar, but when they got there they put us in a small and cozy booth. It was great. We had the brunch and all of it was top notch. Our young server could not have been better!
Green Valley Grill always has exciting new things on the menu and has a brunch that can't be beat. It is a bit pricey, but you are getting a high end experience, down to the servers and waitstaff in semi formal attire.
Four of us came for Sunday brunch. I was immediately impressed with the decor and overall warm feel of the interior. The staff were very attentive and friendly, excellent service. The cocktails were well made and delicious. The menu offer excellent choices for both the breakfast side and the lunch side. We started with the Mediterranean Tapas platter. Followed by the Avocado Ciabatta Toasts, the Grilled Chicken salad and the Parmesan crusted Chicken. All of these dishes were plentiful and delicious. We have got to come back here for dinner. This place is great.
The wife and I enjoyed a nice post Valentine's day dinner at the Green Valley Grill a few weeks ago. We called a few days ahead and made reservations for a Friday evening, and I'm glad we did, as they were turning people away at the door when we got there because they were so busy. We were seated promptly, and our waitress came not longer after to take drink orders. She was very attentive throughout the meal, helping to provide refills on drinks, and bread. They have a good variety of options on the menu, and a nice beer menu. I got the Paella, which was good, but not the best I've had. Prices were a bit high compared to the portions which was a bit disappointing. I finished my meal all in one sitting, but do wish I had ordered something else. If/when i go back, I won't be ordering the paella. Good visit, but certainly caters to an older crown. I think a lot of what you pay for here is the name and reputation. Worth checking out.
We dined at Green Valley Grill before a concert last weekend and had a great experience! We made the reservation for 3:30 a few weeks in advance and were seated right away. What drew me to this spot were the reviews, menu, and atmosphere prior to reserving. Their menu is fairly extensive and we ordered off the dinner menu. They have an incredibly impressive wine list. Our server greeted us about five minutes after we sat down and was helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and we loved the interior architecture of the building. We both got waters and I opted for my usual white wine, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It was good! Our server also offered warm bread once we ordered our appetizer: Basque Beef Meatballs. They are served with pine nuts, wilted spinach, and a side of spiced saffron yogurt and crostini. Although slightly salty, these were delicious and melted in your mouth with a very unique flavor. For our entrées , my husband ordered the short rib sliders but on focaccia bread because he couldn't do dairy, and it was delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. I absolutely loved my dish. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and served with a goat cheese as well as a lemon garlic sauce which I got on the side. The mashed potatoes were great as well as the seasonal vegetables: perfectly cooked and seasoned zucchini squash. We had a great experience at the Green Valley Grill and would definitely come back if ever in Greensboro again!

The soaring ceilings and the glow of lights woven through the interior palm trees create a sophisticated, yet incredibly warm and cozy atmosphere provided by Morgan who provided top tier service. We were absolutely delighted by our appetizer choice! We dove into the crab and spinach dip and highly recommend asking for the sourdough toast chips instead of crackers--the tanginess is the perfect counterpoint to the creamy dip. My one small critique lies with the cocktails. While they were beautifully presented, they just missed that refined, handcrafted 'wow' factor that I look for. A good drink, but not an unforgettable one. Now, for the triumph: the main courses! The Parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes was a stunning balance of cozy Southern style and bright Mediterranean flair. And the massive spinach salad? That combination of sweet peaches and tangy goat cheese, all elevated by the dressing, was pure bliss. We would absolutely return. As a final pro tip: don't rush out! The stunning landscape outside the entrance is truly beautiful and makes for a fantastic backdrop to snap a few photos to remember your beautiful night.
Our lunch was an absolute treat! We came in with a larger party for a working lunch and the servers and team were extremely accommodating. Our seats were in the main dining area, which is an absolute feast for the eyes. The area was super busy and crowded but you'd never know it because everything just flowed, like a well oiled machine. The food is EXCELLENT! We got a little bit of everything but the highlights were the Short Rib Sliders - popular at our table, and the small plates. Green Valley Grill continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Greensboro! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, and the approachable elegance of the space is always inviting. Tonight, I ordered a featured entre, Portuguese Duck Rice with the Baked Alaska for dessert. This saffron rice dish featured wood-fire smoked duck , smoked sausage, rich duck broth, carrots, and leeks. The depth of flavor in this dish was amazing! Everything was just right with it, except I wanted more! I will have to come back and get this again. This was also my first Baked Alaska. Front eh creamy meringue to the deep chocolate flavor of the cake to the cherry vanilla ice cream, this dessert was a very pleasant experience. I recommend both! read more

Green Valley does not disappoint ! So glad we were able to make a reservation, we were able to walk right in and have no wait. Our waitress was very pleasant and very prompt. I enjoyed my scallops and wine. Even tried a few mussels from my husband's paella, they were also very tasty. The dining room is big and spacious but our booth felt very private. I can't say enough about how much our family loves eating at Green Valley Grill! The chicken salad is so good. The cocktails are pretty yummy as well. We've tried so many items on the menu and have enjoyed them all. The service is always outstanding and such a supportive crew. The ambiance is so comfortable and suffocated! Solid food and service every time. I do try to get something from the special features list since they aren't standard menu items. I can't say that I've ever been disappointed and this time was no exception! The first time, I got the warm salmon farro salad and it was so good! On a future visit, I tried the shrimp fattoush salad. I can't say it was a hit but I liked the freshness of the ingredients. read more
Truly, little to nothing has changed in regards to Green Valley Grill since my last review, and in their case, that's a good thing. The food and service are still excellent, the prices are quite reasonable for the quality, they have an extensive wine and cocktails list, and the vibes while leaning more toward old school fine dining, still deliver. Felt compelled to update my review because I went for a birthday celebration last night and was served an absolutely perfectly cooked medium ribeye that I am convinced was well over the advertised 10 ounces. It was served with a scoop of house whipped pesto butter that just added that extra decadence melted over the top. The mashed potatoes and zucchini it came with were excellent as well, I just barely had enough room for the steak! The appetizer of cardamom seasoned beets and burrata topped over aragula was also really really good, if you like beets of course. The balance between that tart, the bitter arugula, and the cream burrato was spot on. Birthday girl got a free dessert, and we were all very satisfied with our meal as usual at Green Valley Grill, and really and property in the Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants portfolio. Would come back again and again, and recommend to anyone. read more
It has been a few years since we came last time. We are here to celebrate my sons 12th birthday Appetizer 1. Crab dip - it's pretty tasty, I really like the crispy bread that came with the dip. Be honest - I do like the crab dip from village tavern a bit more - because it's more rich in flavor. But this crispy bread is definitely good. 2. Calamari- this is the best I've had in the area - fresh with light batter so the flavor was very goid and not greasy. 3. Tapas - it was a nice surprise, I didn't have much expectations on this dish , the hummus was good and so was the meatball. As well as the chicken. My fav was the grilled cauliflower- very well seasoned and cooked to perfection - definitely my fav Entrees 1. I had shrimp salad - 6 shrimps and lettuce plus a few cucumber and radish. Very light. I liked crispy pita in the salad to give it a better texture and taste. But it's a bit over priced. 2. Pecan crusted trout - overall good, nothing special. 3. Beef tips - my son liked it , cooking the beef to medium was just right and it was still tender in texture. 4. Crab cake - my mom said she like the ones from village tavern better as there were less crab meat here. 5. Crispy chicken and bacon - sandwich was good. The fries were super small in size and hard to pick up. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us new ones though. Dessert 1. Free dessert for birthday boy - was nice price if chocolate cake. Didn't get to take a picture as my son finished it so fast. Lol. 2. Affogato- birthday boy's second dessert - he loved it. And coffee made the ice cream more delightful. 3. Frozen nutty Irishman - I like the multi layer with ice cream and nutty layers - the texture was complexed and adds to the flavor. I do prefer smooth texture chocolate cake usually but this dessert adds more sophistication than pure chocolate. 4. Cranberry upside down cake - a bit on the sweet side but the cake texture was smooth. And nice presentation- see picture Service was fast - we made reservations for noon and there were lots of ppl around but no additional wait time and we were seated right away. read more

Waitress was knowledgeable and restaurant was accommodating to gluten free/celiac. Atmosphere is pleasant (not too loud) and decor is historic/beautiful. Food and service were both fantastic. Will definitely be going back. read more
GVG is such a wonderful place with an outstanding dinner menu. Their selection is just the right size without being overwhelming in options. They know what they do, and they do it well. The Baked Pecan Crusted Trout tastes amazing! It pairs well with the lemon beurre, polenta and vegetables. In fact, I loved the combination between trout and polenta. But I have to say, do not sleep on their Turkish Braised Beef Short Ribs. It's soooooo good. A solid 10/10 that's FULL of flavor!!! The short ribs are tender and placed over a bed of mashed taters with a rich sauce. Seriously I'd come back just for the short ribs alone. Service was wonderful from door to table. They also have an amazing ambience and a fine selection of beer. Lastly, they have Jazz on Thursday nights. It's a must see. read more
Green Valley never disappoints! I came for brunch with book club and it's such a crowd favorite. We all enjoyed our dishes and lingered chatting and catching up. The staff are always professional and were so courteous. The quiche was amazing. I loved the flavors they chose with the bacon, sweet potato and caramelized onion. It offered just the right amount of sweet to a savory dish. The mocha was so beautifully prepared it got the table's attention. We just love consistently having 5 Star experiences here. read more
This place stays pretty busy but I can always grab a seat at the bar for one which I love. I can't remember the name of the fish since I don't see it on their menu anymore but it was essentially a scramble with sausage egg and hash browns. It was delicious. I also ordered a cucumber martini which was strong and refreshing. It's always a great time here and the bartenders and very sweet. I love coming here to have a quick bite and watch the game during football season. read more

Started with cocktails at the bar then moved to the dining room for dinner. Calamari, prime rib and the chef's special of sea bass. All phenomenal. I've been here before for afternoon tea and jazz in the lounge. Always great food and atmosphere. read more
Very solid four plus, they hit the mark on a great brunch, service and managed a calming atmosphere during the Christmas season. I'm not always a fan of some of the food selections but had no issue finding a great dish at brunch. The O'Henry eggs that was shaved ribeye, Gorgonzola cheese, eggs and hollandaise sauce a top bread. The hash brown potatoes are stand out with crisp outside and soft inside. Great flavors on the plate. The regular breakfast plate with bacon and eggs was also good. read more
We had an out of town guest and met here for dinner. We shared the Mediterranean appetizer with the lamb cigars, hummus, shrimp and chicken skewers. We added the Gorgonzola and arugula salad and was quite pleased with the entire meal! We cannot wait to come back! read more
Green Valley Grill never disappoints! We went for a birthday dinner last night and it hit the spot as always. Our server was amazing and even offered to plate split two entrees for a friend and I who could not decide on which. The birthday girl got a complimentary dessert with a candle which was super festive. The food was great quality as always and cooked perfectly. read more
