This place is absolutely neat! I will say the fish here tastes like it came from the sea yesterday! The illustrated menu made me brave to step out of my comfort zone. I had fried octopus legs, very fishy and slightly chewy, lightly breaded. I would have liked a more creative dipping sauce that wasn't soy though. I had a galbi udon soup in a hot pot. It was enough for the hubby and I to share. The broth was very delicate, with deep flavors of the east. We also had an eel tempura roll. Holy shittaki mushrooms, was it good! The owners are slaying it with great customer service. All the tea I need and complimentary fried apple rounds. They ended my experience with a refreshing ginger tea. The only improvement i would like to see is extra dishes. We were making a huge mess sharing our food and using napkins to catch it. Aside from that, I highly recommend this place for sushi. Where do I begin? My fiancée and I were looking for a Japanese restaurant the other night, and we've been to the other places in the area plenty of times. So, we figured we'd try Nagoya as a change of pace. With all due respect to the other Japanese restaurants in Central PA, I don't think I ever need to go back to them. Seriously. In one short visit, Nagoya has become one of our favorite restaurant experiences in the area. On the night we visited, it was particularly snowy and icy, so we were the only customers at the time. After speaking with the server (wife of the chef/owner), we placed our order. Shortly after, she offered us complimentary glasses of rice wine. I had never had rice wine before, but I thought it was a very light and refreshing pre-meal beverage. After a little while, our food arrived. I ordered a sushi roll combo, while my fiancée ordered two rolls. We also split an order of the chicken Yakatori skewers. The sushi was great-- some of the best I've had. But the real winners were the Yakatori skewers. It was chicken, bell pepper, and onion skewered and grilled with perfect char and a very tasty sauce. I was highly impressed. The chef came out a few times to ask how it was and he seemed really excited about his craft (as were we). Then the surprises kept coming. After his wife took away our dishes she emerged from the kitchen a few minutes later with some freshly fried apple slices. They were very good, and a very pleasant surprise. Just when I thought our meal was over, she emerged again and brought us some cinnamon/spiced cold tea. I'm not usually a tea guy, but honestly, I would buy this stuff if I knew where to get it. It was amazing. After we paid and left, we couldn't stop talking about this restaurant all night. The point I'm getting to is, this place made us the happiest that any dining experience in Central PA has ever made us. It was basically the perfect meal for us, and they really treat their guests like family. If you're in Lemoyne and are looking for the best Japanese food in the area, don't hesitate. Had a dish last night of udon noodles with spicy spicy chunks of tofu and little shrimps with a side of kimchi. Just the right degree of spice for me (although I like to say that something actually has to be on fire when I put it in my mouth for me to taste it). Interesting menu choices at Nagoya, with pleasant service! Although, I wouldn't come here for the sushi because the selection was lacking (I didn't see any raw options), there are still plenty of other dishes to choose from. I order the steamed pork dumplings appetizer that tasted clearly homemade, with a side of the flavorful dumpling sauce. I would love to come back to try them pan-fried. For my entree, I ordered the spicy kimchi pork bulgoki, which was delicious. This meal comes with white rice and mise soup. Each bite of the pork had a good combination of pork and kimchi. A minor downside is that I wish it was more spicy. I also tried the the spider roll, which was also good and fresh-tasting. At the end of the meal, we received complimentary sujeonggwa, a Korean punch made with cinnamon, ginger, brown sugar and I think also persimmons. Great little owner-operated Japanese restaurant tucked away at the State Street Plaza in Lemoyne, PA. The couple that run this place are amazingly polite, accommodating, and friendly. On both occasions, so far, that I was at the restaurant I was offered a complimentary glass of home made rice wine (sake) that was light and refreshing. The food is plentiful and casual. Lots of Katsu and Oyakodon dishes on the menu. I can't wait to try them all. The Don Katsu (eel breaded and fried) was crunchy and satisfying. The Katsu sauce was sweet. Sushi menu is limited as compared to other similar restaurants in the area, but it is excellently prepared and presented. The sushi was average and presented well. Overall, I don't necessarily think I would go back unless I really needed sushi delivered again. However, this is one of the few sushi places in the area that you can get delivered (door dash), and for that I commend you. The California roll was yummy with a perfectly crunchy cucumber inside. The volcano roll was fine but not what I was expecting. I was hoping for more of a battered roll, but it was literally fried sushi. They have the best ramen and sushi in town. I asked them if they could make their dragon roll vegetarian and use sweet potato instead of meat and they were very accommodating with this request. Owners were really nice people, but the service was really slow. My sister & I came here on a Saturday night & had to wait 30-40 mins for our meal, & when it did come it wasn't too great. I got the Yakisoba & it was really sour & only had 3 small pieces of meat in it, my sister ordered Katsu Don but got Chicken Katsu instead. Sushi was really good though! This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The quality of the food and service are beyond amazing. We love coming here for the personal touches the owners provide, whether it's attention to detail in plating and placement, or the free samples they regularly share. A few of our favorite dishes include the ramen and udon soups which kept us from trying anything else on the menu for months. Once I had their sushi, I wasn't able to enjoy it anywhere else - nothing compares to the Lemoyne roll. We love trying something new (in addition to our staples) each time we come, and especially enjoy the atmosphere and traditional Japanese feel Nagoya provides. Absolutely delicious. Anytime we grab sushi in Lemoyne we go to Akitas - next time you're wanting some sushi, come HERE instead!!! . Great selection, small mom and pop place that is very clean. The woman at the counter/server was friendly and the food came out fast. Couldn't take pictures because we wanted to dive right in. Had the Lemoyne monster roll (omg amazing) and the volcano roll. I wanted to like it here I really did, but the food wasn't good and the staff had attitude for which I didnt understand. I took my older kids to dinner here so nonissue on crying fussy kids. The waiter didnt seem interested in taking our order at all. We asked what he likes on the menu he said the food. Then he sent someone else over. She told us what she liked we ordered that and a few other usuals we like. The rice was not cooked all the way and the sauces just didnt taste right. I continue to go to this restaurant every trip I make to Pennsylvania. The service is very personal and top notch. I try to vary the orders on each trip between appetizers, main courses and sushi. We were pleasantly surprised by the food at this little unassuming restaurant in Lemoyne. Service was excellent and the place was very clean. Our server wore a mask the entire time. We placed a massive order and everything was presented beautifully. We ordered a Monster Roll, 2 Volcano Rolls, Mango Salmon Roll, 2 California Rolls, a Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll and an order of Spicy Beef Bulgoki. The sushi rolls were all fantastic but the spicy beef was lacking in spice and ended up being more sweet than savory. We wouldn't get the Bulgoki again, but we will absolutely be back for more delicious sushi. read more

I stopped here for takeout the other day and was blown away. I ordered seaweed salad, the spicy tempura tuna roll, and the basic eel roll. The seaweed salad was hands down the best I've ever had, which is saying something considering how much travel I do. I'm already looking forward to a return visit here! I grabbed some take-out recently after eyeing this place for a long time. Now I regret waiting so long. The restaurant itself is pretty simple but clean. I appreciated having the pictures of some of the menu items along the walls while making my selections. The service was also top-notch. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I ended up trying a mix of a few different parts of the menus; a couple sushi rolls, spicy pork bulgogi, and the pork/cheese okonomiyaki. I also grabbed a big container of their house-made kimchi. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn't as good as I had hoped. While the flavors were good and the presentation beautiful, the rolls were a bit too dry and the rice underdone. The other dishes I had ordered however, more than made up for it. The bulgogi was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice. The kimchi complimented the meat nicely. I ended up sneaking back to the kitchen a couple times throughout the night for a bite out of the container. The okonomiyaki sealed the deal for a return trip here. It was so amazing, we didn't even leave a drop of the delicious okonomi sauce and kewpie mayo behind. Would highly recommend checking this place out! It's refreshing to have a Japanese option around that's menu isn't dominated by the standard sushi/hibachi fare. The Korean items are also a solid pick. I didn't get to try the ramen or curry but that's definitely next on the list. I'll probably be skipping the sushi in the future but the menu had so many unique and tempting choices that I know that it won't be an issue. read more

Checked this place out For the first time last weekend. It appears to be an older couple running the place. They are very nice and friendly. My rating is based solely on the food that we got. We got number 74, the combo rule. It was horrible. We also got teriyaki salmon. It came out on a sizzling plate. Great presentation, but was very fishy tasting. Everything was overpriced. First time trying. Was looking for a place in the Mechanicsburg area that does Okonomiyaki and Nagoya popped up on my searches. Went there to see what else they had. First, it's a mom and pop restaurant so if they're busy, it may take a while to get your order. Fortunately, it wasn't despite being a Friday night. Looking at the menu there's the typical Japanese fare the most Americans are familiar with, but Nagoya also has a decent selection of food that only those in major cities (NY, LA) would only have that are uniquely Japanese. I decided to skip the okonomiyaki, however was pleasantly surprised they do both Osaka and Hiroshima styles of it. Next time baby. So I had the donkotsu ramen. Overall it's good. The broth was nice, porky and salty (in a good way) with all the typical toppings you'd get on a Japanese ramen: green onions, bamboo shoots, naruto (not the anime character), and some char sui pork. The char sui was a bit tough, but all in all a decent bowl of ramen with a responsible price. I would recommend if you're looking for a nice mom & pop setting with some interesting and authentic Japanese food at a reasonable price. I look forward to my next meal there. read more

I've been here twice so far and the service has been outstanding. Both times the wonderful couple have graciously offered a variety of complimentary items, including kimchi, fried eggplant, a cinnamon ginger after meal drink, and home made rice wine. I don't even like wine or sake but this particular wine is very refreshing and delicious! You also have the choice between free bottled water or hot tea. The food never falls short of excellent. The best sushi I've ever had was from Long Island, and I haven't been able to find a match in Pennsylvania until now. the way that they do the tempura flakes for the spicy (tuna/salmon) rolls is perfection, unlike many other places who go overboard or just throw the flakes on top. Their seaweed salad and miso soup are also delicious. You can tell that this man and woman take pride in their work. They treat you like royalty and always make sure you have what you need, usually with a little extra on top. I wish the place wasn't so tucked away so more people knew about it. 5 stars hands down! read more

My husband and I were here for the first time tonight (for date night). The food was amazing. It was as if you could tell someone's mother made it from scratch. We ordered all vegan dishes (miso soup, fried tofu cucumber roll, pickled radish avocado roll, and tofu teriyaki) there were so many to choose from! The complimentary bottles of water were a surprise too. The picture menu was a perfect representation of the food you get and is nice for those who may not be familiar with Japanese food. Between the cozy, intimate atmosphere and how genuinely welcoming everyone is, it's easy to forget the outside world for a while. We will definitely be coming back! read more
