About a minute after placing the order, the restaurant called me to verify my allergies and request. I really appreciated there care and attention. I was bummed to see my old go-to hibachi place close in this location a month or so ago - but almost immediately, renovations started occurring and a week or 2 ago Kumo opens! Normally I like to wait a bit for a new business to work the kinks out ...but it got the better of me as the new sign in front of the restaurant mentions Ramen, Sushi, & HIBACHI..... so in I went. Inside layout is basically the same - with the addition of a front register & full table service. Server was by immediately to take my drink order & drop off a menu. Decent choices...but my hankerin' was for hibachi tonight - so I ordered Steak & Chicken with accompanying small salad (soup is an option as well). Order came quickly & was pretty darn good! Meats were not overcooked & veggies were crisp and tasty. I can see myself visiting this new restaurant as much as I did the previous one ;) Recommended - stop in! read more

This is, by far, my favorite sushi spot in Carlisle! There's not many to choose from out here, so this place is legit amazing! The sushi is fresh and delicious! They have other authentic Japanese dishes like Udon, Ramen and Katsu if you don't prefer sushi. So it's great that they have something for everyone. The server are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very a cozy and clean. It doesn't get overly crowded, however they are busy. It seems like people tend to do more take out instead of eating in. My husband and I brought our toddler here and he LOVES the avocado and California roll. The chef even cut the rolls particularly small just so that he can eat them in one bite. I love that they did that for us. We highly recommend this place! read more

I have heard good talk of this place. It is located in a strip mall on Rt 11 N Harrisburg Pike. It seats about 24 but has an active take out business. Service is a little dilatory and it took a while to get a menu, the two men behind the counter just looked at me instead of notifying the server. I ordered an orange ramune which is impossible to open, requires drinking from the bottle and it was not very much of an orange taste. It has a marble inside the bottle, would not recommend. Rock Shrimp app and belly pork bun were both excellent and good price. Chicken ramen was too bland for me and need a better chicken broth and spice. read more
