I followed Sonny Le from another nail salon to this one a few months ago because he's a top professional. He knows how I like my nails done (and yes, I am picky), and I never have any of the nasty issues that you can get at other nail salons. I won't go anywhere else and drive 45 minutes from Saratoga Springs to come here even though we have a lot of choices up where I live. I have been going here for quite a while (several months), and I have always been happy with the manicures I get from Nail 7.

THE BEST. I love this place- the staff are super friendly and companionable and they do an outstanding job. It's always a rather fun treat when I go in to get my nails done here. Towards the end of the week after 4:30 they get pretty busy. Absolutely LOVED this place- I ended up getting a French gel manicure for my wedding for the first time, and a little over two weeks later the tips are going strong. A little bit of the gel part near my cuticles started to come up, but that's also bc my nails have been growing out. I've been to this place about 6 times over a year and a half and have never had consistent good service, regardless if I make an appointment ahead or walk-in/same day. I used to get ANC but every single tech destroyed my nail beds to the point where I had to wait 6-8 weeks for my nails to get strong again. I started getting gels there but the girl who did it kept clipping my cuticle. I had one pedicure and they switched my tech twice throughout the treatment. After reading the reviews for this place, I decided to try it out as I have been looking for a new nail salon to go to. I was definitely not disappointed. The inside of the salon is absolutely gorgeous, and everyone there-employees and customers alike-were very kind and welcoming. Once I picked out my color for my ANC manicure, I was immediately offered water or seltzer. I was so surprised, as silly as it sounds, but any other nail salon I have been to, I have never been offered anything. The woman who did my nails was Jennifer, and I would like to suggest her to everyone on earth, but I would like to be selfish and keep her to myself! She was amazing. At other places around the capital region (maybe I've just been going to not so great places?), if I got an ANC manicure, that was it. I was in the chair, they did my nails, and I left. This was not the case. Jennifer used such meticulous attention and detail when she did my nails. She made sure that the coats of powder were even, there were no bumps, nothing was uneven at all. Also, I like to keep my nails short so other salons I have been too, when asked what shape I wanted, they told me they couldn't do that. When she asked me today, I said I'm sorry I know they're short but if you could do square, I would like that. She said that she absolutely could do that no problem. I always go here and I love the environment and the staff but I went the day before thanksgiving and never have been rushed more in my life. They had two people working on my nails and they are all shaped different and the final coat that makes the ANC shiny isn't even on the whole nail and it is such messy work. I got a regular manicure on Sunday by Boat (also goes by M.E.) and it was fantastic. The salon is set up very well with stations spread out and Plexiglas dividers between the customer and manicurist. There are dividers between each pedicure chair as well and everyone was wearing their mask. I felt very safe! Also, the manicure is lasting beautifully. It hasn't chipped at all yet and she really took her time and paid attention while she was doing it. I'll definitely request her again! It was the best $15 I've spent in a long time! read more

This was our first time at Nail 7 but it won't be our last. My sister had a pedicure and I had a regular (non-gel) manicure. The salon is very modern and beautifully decorated. All equipment is new and sparkling clean. The technicians are very friendly and we got prompt and caring service with lots of attention to detail. AWFULLLLL SERVICE. I trusted this shop with my nails for my wedding day and it was such a flop. My first nail broke the same day I got them done (the day before my wedding) and I had to super glue it on for my wedding pictures. 2nd nail broke 2 days later while leaving for my honeymoon. Fast forward 1 week later and 6/10 of my nails are broken or cracked. Mind you prior to this, I had a set of ANC nails on for over a month (done by Regal nails in Glenville) not one of them broken off or cracked. I called after coming back from my honeymoon to get them fixed, they sched an appt for me, when I get to the appt they ask if I can come back in a hr, then ask if I can come back tomorrow, finally they refused to fix the nails because the nail artist was "one of their best" and they don't think they can make me happy. If your best nails last less than 12 hrs that's a problem, don't you think? They gave me $65 dollars back and sent me out of the door like this.. I am sorry I ever brought my business and my 5 bridesmaids business to this company. The 2nd picture shows one of my bridesmaids who got a regular manicure a few days after visiting this shop with me as well.. super aggressive. Won't be going back or recommending anyone here.. that's for sure. Shame on you. read more

I've been searching for a nail salon like this since I moved to the Capital District a little over 2 years ago. This nail salon puts every other nail salon to shame. It's extremely clean inside and has a very spa like feel. Everyone that was working there was very friendly. I walked in with 2 other friends and we didn't have an appointment. It was moderately busy and I could tell they had a lot of apportionments, but we we all got our services right away! It didn't seem like other customers had to wait since we got our services either. The salon seems to have A LOT of regulars, which is very encouraging. They offered you coffee, water, or sparkling water when you sat down. As for the service, the ANC manicure was by far the best manicure i've ever had since moving up here. My technician was very meticulous and made sure my nails were perfect before I left the salon. I was very specific with my nail shape (I like them square but also a little rounded) and she did it perfectly without me having to have her fix something. At the salon I used to go to, they would rush and I would also have imperfections that I would have to have them fix. Everything was so clean and pristine. They use clean tools, which is extremely important since diseases can easily be spread when clean, new tools aren't used. Safe to say I will be coming back here. The ambiance was nice like the reviews state and they had LOTS of colors to pick from however the person doing my nails was not very friendly and hardly said 5 words to me once he got started. When I told him I wanted almond shape his reply was "really?" with a disgusted look on his face and when I explained what they are to look like he said "so round is what you really want" after a coworker explained what it was I wanted it he did a semi decent job but several nails were uneven and more blunt on one side then the other which was an easy fix at home. Then he nicked the side of my finger and then proceeded to tell me I must have had a blister on it even though that was not correct. After he was done he asked if I liked it and if not too bad because he was not doing them over. Now true that was intended to be a joke however it was not funny nor was it funny when the person next to me was asked how she liked her color and she answered yes my person proceeded to say I hope so because you picked it out and that he would charge her double if she was not pleased. Sorry. Who really wrote those rave reviews? I had an appointment. I was rushed through and my nails were done by one person after another, like musical chairs. The person who happened to be there to cut them did not cut them but instead ground them, leaving them uneven. The polish was chipping off within a week. It was too thick. I was charged $45 for what was an easy gel job. Yes, the place is physically attractive but I also got a strange vibe there--the girls who worked on my nails were overseen by a tall, authoritarian male who often stood behind them, sometimes brushing them aside to take his turn on my nails. Were they new at the job? The man did not seem very supportive or kind. There is a kind of undercurrent there, some intimidation. Anyway they do have a nice sink and comfortable waiting area. read more

I never get my nails done or leave reviews but I feel I have to say something. I really loved the atmosphere there, everything was brand new and chic. Everyone was very friendly as well and I had a very relaxing time. HOWEVER, that's not enough when you're in the business of beauty. One of the men convinced me to do ANC instead of shellac because it would "look more natural" haha okay that's a lie. And it costs ten more dollars so I'm sure they push it over the shellac. Anyway, I still would have gone back there next time because I enjoyed the place but my nails are horrible. The woman did not even push the cuticles back first so they look small very very thick (not natural looking at all which is what I went in for). They are also ALL lifting around the edges already, hard to see in the pic but I promise...they are. I got them done yesterday night, it hasn't even been 24 hours and I haven't done anything to warrant this as most of the time spent with my new nails has been asleep... I'm very pissed and disappointed. I would go to see if they would give me some type of refund but I left for vacation this morning hence why I got my nails done in the first place. The employees I came in contact with were nice, the salon looked very clean and my nails came out ehhh.... In the salon they looked fine but outside in natural light and looking closer they looks pretty messed up. There are some spots where there is no ANC and my natural nail is showing, some nails look crooked and the shape they are filed to are uneven. Some are really thick and then others are super thin, No cuticle trim or cuticle oil.. But they look descent from far away, were not that expensive and my nail tech was nice so whatever you get what you pay for. what I am upset about is the way my friend was treated. She was getting her nails done for her wedding and they look horrible. The male nail tech did them and anytime she asked him a question he was rude. The color was horrible and he rushed through them. She made it very clear these were for her wedding and he still rushed through them. He also went outside for a smoke break in the middle of doing her nails. Once he was done with her nails he got up and left the salon without saying a word to her....no thank you or your charge is ___$ nothing. Incredibly rude and now she has to go get them redone somewhere else.... Like with any nail salon there are some techs that are better than others but there is no need to be rude. This is a beautiful new salon that opened in summer 2016 and I tried it fir the first time yesterday. It's very clean, spacious and bright, and the service excellent. As others mentioned, it has a very spa-like feel with an elegant design and a comforting fireplace place between the pedicure chairs and the waiting area which is decorated a la HGTV style. Prices are very reasonable and the manicurists were very polite, meticulous and professional. Was able to get a same day appointment on a Saturday but when word gets out about this gem, I'm sure you have to start booking in advance. read more
